Just ordered mine today. Got the ceymar 1000, putting it on a custom 44” rod I built. Gonna be my new dead stick set up for pike and walleye through the ice.

I would love to know how light you can set the rear drag on these! ideally looking for a drag that will barely hold a minnow jig set up at x depth with 0 to no resistance if the fish take... seams like nobody will answer this question?

What are the main differences between the ceymar and avenger baitfeeders? Just an extra ball bearing in the Ceymars and the design? Or is there more?
Ceymar has a rigid metal handle design as well as heavy duty solid aluminum bail wire.
Whats the true size of the 500 VS 1000 ? Same body? Just different spool? Need to kno b4 ordering one.
That is the info I heard. I have the Avenger 1000abf. Love it. 50m of 8 lb backing to 150m of 6 lb braid.

I"m looking for a baitfeeder reel for carp. Is this too small for 10 or 12 lb braided line? the 1000 series is what I'm looking at.
I have 2 c10s and they woork awsome they will hold the 10 to 12lb line with no problem i came down to 10lb was using 15 braid and god about 65 to about 80 ft of braid line

Is it okay to use it in saltwater?
You can use these in saltwater. These particular reels are very small, more for ice fishing and panfish.
How is the drag sound? Is it louder than the non baitfeeder model?
