David, I can’t tell you how excited I was while making this flute for you. It was actually my late father’s dream that I would create a flute like this for him, without the need for finger stretching. Sadly, he passed away long before I could show him the progress, but I poured that passion into this project. Getting the holes closer while keeping the intonation perfect was quite tricky-there’s a lot of undercutting involved to make sure the angles and shapes are just right for the half notes and fork fingering to work perfectly.
