At last a coach who explains things clearly and easily, none of this having to hit the ball miles rubbish, The simplicity of your videos is a breath of fresh air ,
I’ve watched tons of videos and I swear they are making me a worse golfer. I watched this today and went to the range. It actually made sense and worked! I’m gonna just focus on this drill and not over complicate things. Thank you!
I picked up golf seven months after watching hours and hours of videos and trying all sorts of stuff with mixed results, I found this video. It made sense to me. I could not believe how great the results were at the range. It was like golf was easy.
Thank you - this is great for the average and ( below average - like me!) golfer - you have made it so simple and easy a) to practice and b) use on the course - thanks again!!
That does look a really good drill as am struggling currently with my rotation. When you are on your follow through are you using your left hip/side to come back into position or is the right hip the trigger instead for this movement? Finally is this swing for more beginners or is this your swing and suited more advanced players? (so can maximise distance and speed without having to add more elements etc)Thanks 👍
Excellent video. Thank you. Dumb question - douse the swing away start with a 'push action' from the lead side or is it more a 'pulling' action from the trail side. Visually, it appears from your demonstration, to be trail side led. Please clarify!!
Hey Bill, good question in fact, both moves are correct and are used, whichever one you prefer is the one that you should repeat in every swing. I feel that my trail side pulls my body into action 👍 But if you like to start with the front foot, leg, hip,…is also brilliant 👍 As long as you work from the ground up to create maximum rotation and torque
Hi, yes, there is a totally different movement for chipping. Please check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/qZV8ZQC_Eg0/v-deo.html We also made complete playlist with videos about short game: ua-cam.com/play/PLwyrV097fkzF6XDbbd_EzxohOKJhj2vxM.html Good luck!
Played golf doing this , front nine was very good hitting great shots for me, best nine score ever fell apart on back nine pulling pushing shots , think I got bit over confident in my ability and was trying to hit it further, will start again swinging easier
If you're hitting the ball well, never try to hit it harder. That's the death move. It throws your tempo and rhythm off. It's almost impossible to swing hard and hit a golf ball accurately.
Great advise ,Thank you This has help me a lot and has given me more confidence at address ,especially with the driver Simple but so effective Cheers Nads
Been trying this without ball , can't believe the feel, and how much I over swing, feels like a chip shot but speed from club is a lot more than I'm used to on practise swing also whoosh is at my left big toe and I feel very minimal movement , can't wait to hit a ball .. thank you for tip
Hi Michael! Yes you can during Practice but afterwards you should be able the go with your own timing. It’s easier for the brain to do one thing at the time… First you, know then you feel. After that you trust - result!
No, the left arm will be the lead arm to maintain the maximum width in your backswing I also teach most players to extend their left arm a little bit more to create the maximum torsion to create Speed
@@Weplaygolf ok, thanks for the reply. This is where I get confused because if I bring my left arm straight back and parallel to the target, I end up coming a bit over the top and either pull or slice the ball. If I turn more where now my left arm is inside that parallel line, I feel like I'm going to push or come in to much from the inside... This is what doesnt make sense to me. I just want to hit the ball straight with speed and momentum but end up holding back because I dont want to hit it out of bounds... Too many swing thoughts I guess. Thanks for your help!
I really like your videos but on your swinging in to out video on your downswing your first move is dropping your club or dropping your hands on this video your first move on the downswing is turning your hips and then dropping your hands and releasing through I just want to know what order I do for all of my golf swings
Hey Daniel Callahan, thanks for your question about the elbow position, I always look at the arm length according to the body length to know where you should get your elbow position. But I never want to feel that I need to hold my elbow against my body, I prefer a loose arm hang position in this motion.
Did you practice this golf swing step at the bar? Let me know!
It only took 8 pints of Guinness to get the gist only in Ireland 🇮🇪

That's great Atom. I am glad this video helped you!
This is what an experienced coach would like to say, simple, clear and down to earth.
thanks a lot.
Thank you very much for your videos!! Your easy to understand instruction has already helped my game greatly!!!
Of all the videos I’ve watched this has literally helped me the most. It’s crazy how simple it is.

I have not seen or heard a better or simple description of the golf swing that leaves your mind uncluttered of thoughts on the course.
I love your instruction, thank you so much.
I would like to let you know that you are the best teacher of golf
Hands down best golf video on UA-cam!
Thank you!
Brilliant in its simplicity!
Love your teaching. No nonsense. Simple yet effective.
Thanks!
This by far clicked with me on a simple repeatable golf swing. Thank you!
Thank you, Marcus for letting me know!
You make it look so easy. This is another great tip for sure.
Thank you bobber!
Great teaching thank you
This is such a great video, and I love how Tom describes it so succinctly. LOVE IT!
Thank you Jack!
Only just stumbled on your videos but seem so simple, my biggest mistake is over complicating the swing nice one👍👍⛳️🍺
Thanks!
Brilliant and yes it is really that easy. This video is golf and thanks for breaking it down so simply yet effectively!
Thank you for your kind words!
Very clear and understandable instruction. Should the left arm be along for the ride in the swing?
No no ... it will help you to create tension in your backswing .... we will have a video on that 👍
Just subscribed, love this video, so simple. Thank you 😊
Thank you Robert!

ive practiced this many times at the bar! thanks for another great video We play golf and Tom.
Thanks!
Cheers! Nice video!
Love this video, can’t wait to try it tomorrow, is it the same for the woods? Surely golf can’t be this easy?!
Thank you 🎉❤
I’m better at the bar than on the course but did just post my best score ever on Sunday, thanks in part to your simple tips, thank you Tom!

I can definitely lift the pint at the bar. I'm gonna be great!

Is it the same swing for the driver?
Not only is this swing simple, it is very effective. Couple this easy swing with a good short game and you can be very competitive.
Can you get separation using this method?

Does this work for all clubs? Long irons, driver?
Absolutely.... only the swing angle will change because of the different lengths of the clubs
