On April 22, 2021 a cash-in-transit heist failed due to the evasive maneuvers and balls of steel this driver has.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo said a group of men tried to rob the CIT vehicle on 22 April on the N4 in Pretoria, South Africa. As the suspects begin firing at the armored van, the driver keeps his composure extremely calm and passes his rifle to his partner.
The driver taking full control of the situation begins maneuvering his vehicle, ultimately pulling a U-Turn and heading straight at the suspects. Warning his partner moments before, "They are going to shoot" as they both brace for what's about to happen. Multiple shots make contact with the armored van as the by-pass the suspects car approaching, but luckily neither of them were hit.
Unfortunately the footage cuts off a few seconds after they pass the armed suspects, but the driver exited the vehicle what seemed to be safely.
The driver in this video is Leo Prinsloo, a former member of the SAPS Special Task Force, and also the head instructor for Fortis Pro Active Defence’s Lone Operator courses. Leo also is the founder of The Edge Shooting Academy in Centurion.
Fun fact! The robbers were actually listening to the same radio station as the armored vehicle driver in order to skirt any potential legal consequences of performing an armed robbery. Unfortunately they forgot to realize that the armored vehicle driver was also dialed-in to the power and freedom of consequence of the freebird solo.

It's even more impressive when you realize how clunky those up-armored vehicles actually are. See, they're so heavy from being up-armored that they also need to have their suspension upgraded. So while it's a normal size vehicle, it's more like driving a box truck with how much weight is on it.
@@bebop_557 how big of a box truck?
@@AluxGamez If this helps to put it in perspective: Up-armored normal cars are typically about as maneuverable as an ambulance. Usually, on top of the suspension being rebuilt and upgraded, you also lose the ability to roll down the windows and your MPG absolutely tanks. Given how that's a proper manual gearbox, because South Africa, I would wager the transmission probably isn't stock either and the engine probably has extra torque to compensate for the increase in weight.

Wrong. This is REALITY. Nerd.
Omg. As a former contractor in Afghanistan. The accountant looking driver is the guy I wanted on my team. He is always ready for action. And calm. And I'm not trying to talk much about the brother with them. But before the first shots were fired you can see the accountant was observing the environment and the other guy was just gazing out the window. Shot starts firing the accountant is like observing overcome. The brother was like oh my God resort to my very limited training provided by my company and pull my sidearm, the accountant is like no I'm driving like a maniac grab this rifle. And the worst part was about 30 seconds later the brother was like trying to hand the accountant the rifle. Not everyone has been through a gunfight. I guarantee you the accountant has been on many gun fights
Anybody got the backstory here?

The white guy is ex-Task Force. It is a South African police special unit, and those guys are just as hard as South African military special forces.
Always fun to come across dumbass comments like this. The M4 was the drivers and the passenger was only prepping it for him once they came to a stop. He chambers a round and keeps proper safety of 2 loaded firearms during a tense engagement while attempting to text for back up. If you watch the full video the driver grabs the M4 from the passenger as he leaves the vehicle. Also no shit the driver saw the attack first, they attacked his side of the vehicle. I guarantee you haven't been in many or any gunfights

Damn I can tell the driver is fking nervous as hell but dude powered through and stayed calm the whole time whoa what a man.
For those that haven’t read the full details on this incident, they were transporting a high value shipment of cell phones. The armed gang bribed police to get the journey details, then used signal jammers to stop the security team from calling for backup while they ambushed them with 3 vehicles and a roadblock. The guy on the passenger side was 4 days into the job, so you’d forgive him for looking slightly concerned while a bunch of AK-toting dickheads tried to murder him for a box of phones 😂. The driver was a swat (equivalent in South Africa) veteran. This video became great marketing for the company that modifies the vehicles with armor.
