You get to that area (where you dropped down in the tree) via a portal west of the castle we fight Rellana in.
Because that enemy was standing out in that big area all alone, I thought it was going to be a mini boss. But nope!
I tried to catch one frame of the pink butterfly monster where the wings were more defined, but your thumbnail was the most dramatic shot.
such a unique looking beast!
I never worry about using my mimic tear. It's a mechanic designed for those of us who love soulsborne games but don't have cat like reflexes. You see people boasting about finishing the game in 5 minutes while simultaneously solving the economic crisis and reading a novel. Good luck to them but for me I need the help. It's your game and your loyal followers don't judge like the 'Git gud' crowd would.

OK, so the summoning pool is for opening up the option of being able to summon other players in game if online, real life people. The npc summons will always be there, even if offline. You can use npc summon and your own summons at once if you want.
Re. your struggles with the pink enemies in the Scarlet Rot areas, that is FromSoft telling us to take it slowly. Snipe out the enemies from afar if need, take your time.
Nothing to do with being under-levelled. FromSoft games have always been about patience and understanding an enemy and its tactics, and never running through an area, because you will die.
Yeah I went back with the Elden beast sword and destroyed them, but that footage ended up on the cutting room floor. But at least I got'em!
