What's impressive is that this was real, and not a CGI. They had to film this in two parts because the set wasn't big enough (look closely at the floor when the muffler starts rolling at about 0:56 and you will see the splice), but it is a functioning Rube Goldberg machine.
And it took about 100 takes to film. One can imagine the sense of relief when it all worked as planned -- though I'd think the jubilation would be caught on camera!. 'The Way Things Go' (1987) is a similar (and much longer) example, but there are noticeable edits. 'Making of the Honda Cog' is good. Some mistakes are sorta funny, but undoubtedly aggravating to those involved. 'Japanese Rube Goldberg Contest' is also quite captivating. Undoubtedly, many other examples out there.
@@YourLocalUkrainianGerman I guess i'll just say this. It's mostly real camera work with some parts edited, like the transition into the separate rooms. Nice commercial and amusing but way too absurd, specially the wheels part where the damn things are rolling upward like there is a chance in hell that could happen...and the car exhaust rolling by itself like pure magic...genius commercial but a bit too absurd.
@@JuanFuentes8492 The wheels *were* rolling uphill. They were internally weighted to make them do that. No, they wouldn't do that *without* the special weights, but they're still real wheels really rolling uphill.

Super impressive ad! Do love it :) P.S. This is most definitely CGI, look at the walls in the background warping like crazy, through the entire ad really. Especially when the oil spills, during the fan, when glass windows are waving air, when the music turns on & as the car slides out with the final banner. Explain that.
My father bought one of these Accords new in 2003. It still works perfectly in 2020. True engineering quality from Honda.
That is truly amazing, is it still running today?
@@lucasbarton1773 Its a Honda. Shit would probably run in a thousand years time.
I love this car, I've had two of them. The last one i owned had 415000 km. on it when i sold it.
