I feel like I would’ve much rather had commander Cody instead of reva. Actually, there’s a handful of characters from the prequels i wish they would’ve gone into further as opposed to introducing a new character.
I'd take both, tbh. Reva's main downside is that she was a bit overplayed for without too little backstory, but i didn't mind her too much. At least she had a reason to be the way she was, unlike rey
He's gonna be in the Bad Batch, where he SHOULD be considering he might run into Rex who he has just as deep a connection with as Kenobi. Also, he might not have been in it because something happens in the Bad Batch
He’s the only character that I’ve been dying to know what his career became after executing order 66 I just need like a little snippet of him pleaseeeeeeee
I feel like one reason this may not have happened could've just been the scheduling of it. Based on this Cody would've had a pretty sizable role on Kenobi. But during the time of Kenobi's filming Tem Morrison may have been working on Book of Boba Fett or Mando season 3, meaning he could only really show up for a smaller cameo like he did in episode 2
They could of just had a double in Boba's armor and have Tem ADR the dialog. They, whoever they are, didn't want to do it. I would have loved to see Tem again in a more dialog-intensive role.
@@kennethpryde966 In fairness to them, they probably were more focused on having Tem in his own show than as a side character in Kenobi. Still sad tho. But hey, knowing Tem he'd be up for anything, so if Cody survives Bad Batch, maybe we'll see him again in live action one day
Might’ve been both that and having to use Cody if he’s not with the empire anymore. It would’ve been weird to use Cody at that time and you’d have to explain why Rex doesn’t know about Cody being alive.
@@kennethpryde966 Well, they do. People have trouble accepting that it’s not George Lucas’s canon. It’s Disney canon. Anything not made by George Lucas isn’t canon to George’s canon but Disney’s canon does include George’s stuff. Anyway, it wouldn’t make sense or just too difficult to explain why Rex wouldn’t know about Kenobi and Cody on Tatooine, especially since Bail had contact with all of them. If Cody were to be an ally in this and knows about the children, I don’t know why Bail wouldn’t just tell Rex about it.
Idc whether he appears for bad batch. I hope Temuera get another role as cody after book of boba fett cuz its just par of a show. He is a great actor who made attack of the clones way too interesting. Before Temuera's Jango from atrack of the clones live action movie , it was a romance.
@@particularvictims7994 doesnt really have to be for us to know there will be a s2, theres been enough talk about it from them plus the show did so well that their money hungry asses cant resist making another one. and qui gon said to obi wan “we got a long way to go” so i think thats a good hint that we have much more to see of kenobi (and sometimes qui gon)
I get that it would have been difficult to include Cody, but for me it would have made it a bit better. For example if he had Reva's story in a way. Being not an inquisitor, but an imperial agent, hunting Kenobi, and maybe getting his chip removed by Kenobi during the series. And through his character, it could have been explored how order 66 has affected him, maybe he would have been still loyal to the empire despite being free of the chip. But for me, his character would have been a better fit for the Kenobi show. Personally, I don't have a big problem with Reva and the actress, other than for me she did not really fit Kenobi, and I would have loved to see someone more connected to Kenobi, from the clone wars or something. I think a lot of fans would have appreciated that more than an entirely new character that has a very fabricated connection to it all.
I’m devastated, Cody is my favourite character of all time and this scraped story is exactly what I wanted to see for the last 16 year’s, Cody needs a redemption arc and I know most people won’t like that but I think it would work best for his character
Why is Cody your favorite? You like him more than Rex? I'm quite curious as to me Cody never stood out. What is your perspective? 🤔 Full disclosure I am a Cmdr Wolffe fan.
@@mbogucki1 yea I like him more than Rex also my favourite colour is orange so I have a bias but his character is super interesting and his fate is mysterious but I’ve loved his character since I can remember
SWOG here, yes Cody would always be cool. MY SONs Favorite Character as well! Cody and Rex need their own series. I think it would have been a diservice to have a small part in OWK. And I feel that it would have been a bit messy. Maybe too forced to try to involve charters for the sake of fan appeal and just getting him in there. Look at how challenging it was to get Vader and OWK correct in the series. I seriously do not think they would have given Cody's Character justice. He is way too important to get wrong, and there was not enough screen time to get it right. With GL and Disney, it's always been about the young kids - the hero's journey. Yes the friendship part between Cody and OWK would have been really cool for us, but not necessary for the story of OBKs purpose and storyline arc to find his Jedi strength, work through his self-blame, let go of Anakin, and most importantly protect the younglings.
We've seen Commander Cody in the bad bad season 2 trailer. We don't know how his story ends in that season. I suspect they didn't want to do anything with Commander Cody if he I don't know gets killed off in bad batch or something. I think it was a good decision to leave him out of it. It would have complicated the story and probably ruined his character.
Oh man he definitely should’ve been in the show! I was actually hoping for that. Since he’s going to be in the bad batch season 2, I hope they keep him in the empire and don’t kill him off or anything.
The more we hear about what was cut the more I'm disappointed with what we got. Their poor choice of story plots is unbearable and soon fans will stop bothering to watch their cheap shows

Yes the friendship part between Cody and OWK would have been really cool for us, but not necessary for the story of OBKs purpose and storyline arc to find his Jedi strength, work through his self-blame, let go of Anakin, and most importantly protect the younglings. My grandkids love all of the new material. It's just hard to stay with SW as a pure die-hard fan when you grow up. Then the kids come along and they watch a bitchy, whinny, Anakin Skywalker, with Jar Jar, on the big screen and they become heroes. In all of the SW could the writing be better? Yes!!! Could the Acting be better? 'Yes', Could the storylines be better? Of course! But for the sake of kids all over the world who can't afford $5k luke Light Saber, and spend a month's salary to go to Comic-Con, I hope Disney keeps producing its work. SW is too important.
If I remember right, in season two of rebels they mentioned that Cody was working at a training facilityI guess we’ll have to go rewatch it to make sure. But yeah seeing Cody would’ve been amazing!
Going along with what you said about Cody watching over Luke in Obi-Wans absence. This would have been cool to see. Adding to it, Cody could have been with Owen and Beru when Reva attacked. Then part through guilt towards Obi-Wan he sacrifices his life to ensure Lukes safety. Obi-Wan returned just in time before Cody passed on giving Cody his closure.
I’m fine with them cutting him from the show since we are going to see him in bad batch season two, having him join a clone uprising or even die at the hands of Rex would be a way more interesting story than what would happen if he was on kenobi, plus having him in kenobi would severely take away from the tension in bad batch season 2
This would've been so sick to see him again, a wild and nice surprise, especially in live action oh my gosh, but at the same time, yeah, ah-men to that brother, ah-men!! :DD
To be fair though, they could've still fit Cody into the Kenobi show without breaking anything to do with him in TBB since we know he's a good guy in the early scripts for Kenobi. So I'm assuming TBB is most likely going to redeem him too anyways. If you watched the leaked alternate version of TBB S2 trailer, Cody asks Crosshair "This new Empire....are we making the galaxy better?" it's very clearly hinted that Cody will indeed be turning so him helping out Obi-Wan in the show could still fit into TBB. But yeah, the other scenario, of him dying to Rex, now that would've broke things for sure. We'll see exactly what happens to Cody in TBB S2, but my best guess is they won't kill him off and instead redeem him. I just can't see him dying, especially after coming back to us finally after all these years. But who knows until the eps drop!!
Nah he was already set in CGI live action Cody already an Icon star, rex never made it to live action so technically it was a stupid mistake Disney made
At least he'll be in Bad Batch season 2, and orginally he was also gonna be a villain in rebels before it was cut Hopefully we see him as a prominent villain although I can see Rex contacting the bad Batch for help
Yeah, how did they cut him from Rebels and the Obi Wan show, like why does Disney hate the Clone Wars or other prequel stuff? I don't get it. Like imagine getting Boba Fett, Commander Cody, Cad Bane, Embo, Dengar, etc and stuff in Star Wars Rebels or other future Star Wars media.
That Rex v. Cody confrontation is gonna be MAGNIFICENT. CAN'T WAIT!! It's about damn time. A shame Rebels didn't do it, but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way at this point in the gorgeous and beautiful art style and animation of TBB. The great Clone Wars animation lives on and I'm all here for it!! :DD
I do think Kenobi had to be on his own for this; that being said, perhaps if they decided to do a Season 2, we could see this play out with Cody finding him, and if Cody found him...well, we know Vader went to Tatooine to deal with Jabba, so it would make sense that if he found out Kenobi was hiding there, he would track him. Perhaps they lead Vader on a wild chase, only for Obi-Wan to "die", resulting in Vader stopping his hunt. And of course, the subplot to that is Obi-Wan learning from Qui-Gon how to become one with the Force and what that entails.
Definitely could see that as a part of a second season. During the first decade of Kenobi’s self imposed extreme exile he was completely off grid. Severing almost all unnecessary contact with the outside world, news, and even the force. After the first season he has a renewed sense of purpose with the underground occurring. Assuming this may require more ventures off world even in town it would make sense to have that kind of protection available. Hope to see Kenobi renew his trust and bond with Cody.
I feel like Cody would’ve been trying to stay on the down low and that if the Inquisitors were tracking Jedi and made it to Tatooine trailing the “underground railroad” system of refugee Jed, maybe Cody was tracking them. This would’ve opened a whole story for how Cody could’ve found Obi-Wan
As for that Jedi from the early episodes, I think he ended up on Tatooine "randomly", but then while running around, in the desert, either heard about a Jedi Starfighter that crashed, or sensed "something" out in the desert, and ended up running into Obi-Wan. He may have been thinking it was a "random Jedi", only to be shocked when he realized it was Obi-Wan, a member of the High Council. As for what he sensed out in the desert, while it could be Obi-Wan, I'm thinking it was more likely the "light of Luke's Force Presence". As for Reva, while we know she knows Obi-Wan was looking after a kid(s) on Tatooine, and Bail knew it, when did Reva actually find out Luke and Leia were Anakin's kids? I know she saw a fragment of the holomessage Bail sent Obi-Wan, but I still don't think the children were identified as the "Children of Skywalker" in the message.
Every single other thing I hear about that they were going to do with the show/movies sounds 1000% better than what we got ☹️. Great video as always Theory!
I personally feel Commander Cody would NEVER remove his chip. Cody is BY THE BOOK & is the type to stay Loyal to the empire. I am personally tired of clone deserters removing chips since it sort of gotten done a lot. But for Cody, I wouldn't want that. I personally would of wanted Commander Cody in his unique stormtrooper armor to lead stormtroopers to lead a hunt on Kenobi from Tatoonie all the way to the other planets he's been on.
@@TheAngryGenXer Plus Cody being sent to Hunt Kenobi with a group of purge troopers or standard stormtroopers (who BTW. Stormtroopers were trained by Cody) to hunt Kenobi.
Yeah he's a VERY old gen clone that's the classic typical follow orders no matter what kinda clone. It's no wonder why he was made one of the 1st Commanders of the Republic
An Obi-Wan x Cody team up story would've been absolutely surreal and utterly MIND BLOWING, after 17 years! In LIVE ACTION, no less! Temuera FINALLY returning as a major clone character in live action once again would've felt so right and sooo great at the same time, my gosh.
Thankfully, that means that Dave Filoni and his creative crew can depict Cody in The SWU, without having to contend with other writers' ingredients baked in to the lore. It's Lucas and Filoni who should have say in what happens to the character. I expect to see Commander Cody show up in The Bad Batch.
I would have loved to see Cody back. A live action clone trooper series would be pretty cool to see them transition into stormtroopers and as the republic also transitions into the Empire. Idk that's something I wouldn't mind seeing.
It's just sad that there are numerous stories which could be told so this series would have been an absolut banger of a Star Wars show but instead they decided to pick one of the worst story lines they could come up with. Man...we need Filoni and Favreau on every new Star Wars project we will get.
We definitely should see more of the characters that we have history with such as clone deserters as the empire deserts them throughout the years. It is after all just a chip in their heads that they can remove to go back to their pre-order 66 senses
I would love to see a commander Cody redemption storyline! Also I'm upset they didn't have any clone wars animated series references but I still greatly enjoyed the build up of little princess Leia!
They baited us by putting “Duel of the Fates” in Rise of Skywalker and Kenobi, we didn’t get it in either product. They baited us with Cody in kenobi and we didn’t get him. They baited us with Hayden and gave us his face for a total of 2 minutes 33 seconds in the entire 5 hour production. Then they changed Revas original ending and messed up the entire story arc with her. If this was happening in the MCU, Kevin Fiege would be to blame. Meanwhile, we’re all looking at Kathleen like 👀 wtf you doing? I love Star Wars. I just want decent Star Wars. 😭
This is why I don’t like getting hyped for these kinds of things They later reveal who was cut out I actually would’ve liked if Cody appeared And so much more was cut out it’s disappointing how good this could’ve been if they just added these thing instead of giving what they gave
I so grateful that my brain can easily choose what's canon and what it's not canon. Meaning, I don't feel like what Disney say really matters, or that, because something is live action is therefore canon. I gonna choose to keep the novel "Kenobi" as my canon story. God, I wish George would've never sold SW...
Also, the Ahsoka show is set to take place after Mando and BoBF so it's unlikely we'll see Rex beyond maybe him dying of old age... he was old in Rebels, how he made it to the Battle of Endor is beyond me
My question is why hasn’t Kathleen been fired already? The sequels nearly destroyed the whole franchise, and honestly it already has for some.. who is running lucasfilm story group? Why do we have so many different people writing Star Wars? Shouldn’t we have one dude proof read every script and story that knows everything about Star Wars?? If we had a Vader show I guarantee we would have random writers that haven’t even been in Star Wars for a long time. Who even said joby Harold is the guy? Kenobi was such a big show. And that’s the best writer we have???? Like WHERE ARE THE STAR WARS MINDS AT IN LUCASFILM??? Dave and Jon can’t run every single project…
Cody would have been cool to see again.. as long as he dosn’t become some kind of bromance or more-than-a-friend with Kenobi, like so many others things have become lately.
the random Jedi that found Obi wan on tattooine - i strongly got the idea that he just stumbled into him while running from the inquisitors. the way he ran up to him and spoke to him sounded like he was surprised to see him, he had no idea he’d be there. he was also just hiding on tattooine for a while since he was protecting that bar shop thing (where we first see him) for a while from theives and bad people. we hear this during the dialogue of inquisitors. so tattoinenjust happened to be hiding two jedi for a long time, and the two eventually ran into each other.
That would've been a cute and very emotional story, I'd imagine. Would've loved to hear ol' Cody share some war stories with young Luke hehe. I wish we could read those early scripts!!
Actually even more mad now with the Kenobi script. Like Cody in this show is what would’ve made the most sense and something I was eager for since day one
Imagine Cody at the start of the show seeing obi wan on tatooine and, while chatting, obi wan goes: “Who helped you remove that (the chip)?” “I did it myself”. Idk I feel I need to see more actually badass characters after I saw tbobf
Would’ve honestly loved this idea! I’ve had similar thoughts and ideas that Obi-wan had a trustful clone Trooper guarding him and watching in over Luke while Obi-wan was off for some adventure and wasn't around, hopefully it will happens in the future🙏 I mean Temuera Morrison looked so badass as that clone veteran in the Kenobi show😎 We need more live action clones ASAP!
Oh dude, I can’t read stuff like that. Just makes me angry and sad with what we ended up with and how much fricking better and cooler it could be. This would be sooo sick and a good explanation on why Obi can leave Luke with good conscience. I mean scenes with Cody protecting Luke?! DUDE, TAKE MY MONEY!
Brother you always dig up awesome stuff! Appreciate all your work diving into the depths of the storyline! Great work! Very interesting, and entertaining!
They could make a Season 2 of Kenobi with Cody helping him out. I just can't see Obi-Wan being his depressed self like he was in the beginning of the show if Cody was around protecting him. This would be a good chance to bring Cody into the mix if a Season 2 came out though. Much potential.
I wish this was the case! Cody instead of Reva would be amazing! There’s a rumor that Reva was supposed to be based on Darth Revan, could you address this in a video?
Jesus theory your shoulders are basically two deathstars with them being that jacked!! Kudos to you bro, I appreciate your content and grind all the time brother, on and off UA-cam 🙏
Would've been cool to see Obi Wan kinda of embrace Reeva when she turns back and killing her right then and there kind of showing how seriously he is taking this assignment.
I just subbed this channel. This guy is great. Content that "digs in", but you don't need to have read & watched everything to enjoy and know what they are talking about. In this clip,, i especially like what he says about not trying to cater to particular fans. The problem with this notion is this fan base has the least "chill" of any fan base i know of. So many people ready to eviscerate writers because the walls of some random room are the wrong color. Yes, I'm exaggerating. I agree though...at some point they need to stop worrying about pissing off fickle fans and just write the story they want to write. Enough of us understand that writing is almost always better when the writer tells THEIR story, without silly constraints like grumpy fan backlash. Pandering is just weak.
@@CommanderTexas yeah that’s not what the writer said he’d be doing. He said he’d be helping Kenobi. If he really wanted to bring him back he should remain an antagonist
Love the channels my man, much love. Thanks for being the Jedi master we all need. But what episode on Theory’s Arcade did you react to the Bad Batch trailer? Just tried to find it and I couldn’t
@starwarstheory I just rewatched a new hope for the 4th July special. I realized that if obiwan was able to get Luke to Alderan he would've been able to train Luke and leia had the death star not chosen it for destruction and if the empire hadn't caught leia. Imagine Luke and leia being trained at the same time by obi wan and than the 3 of them face vader like holy that'd be a cool what if.
What I feel like they should have done is air the second season of bad batch so we see what happens to Cody shortly after episode 3 and then after the bad batch season 2 then start working on the Kenobi show including what their original plan was in regards to including Cody. In doing that it would have been a natural progression both with the story of Cody and also for the fans to see what happens with Cody chronologically as both shows air.
It is becoming more apparent that these people they pick to write and direct these films either don't care or don't know anything about Star Wars minus a few.
Thinking about it. Reva's whole story arc could of been about Codi. Codi trying to find ObI Wan. Codi seeking redemption for what he did. That would of been much better. Codi revealing Vader. Codi could of watched after Luke. Anyway That Was My Pitch
When we saw the back of The Flea's head in the trailer really thought they were hinting at a clone trooper returning. Commander Cody watching over Luke while Kenobi is off world could have been great
My dad was a mainstream fan, and when characters from the animated series started coming in, he was so confused and kept asking me questions of how I knew all this stuff. It took some convincing but he finally gave the animated series a chance and absolutely loves it. Now he's excited for the knew live action shows coming out and feels more attached to the characters he sees in the movies (especially the Jedi killed in Order 66). They need to stop catering to mainstream fans only and use this as a way to get more viewers into the expanded universe canon. JMO.
SWOG here, yes Cody would always be cool. I feel that it would have been a bit messy though. Maybe too forced to try to involve charters for the sake of fan appeal. With GL and Disney, it's always been about the young kids - the hero's journey. Yes the friendship part of Cody and OWK would have been really cool for us, but not necessary for the story of OBKs purpose and storyline arc to find his Jedi strength, work through his self-blame, let go of Anakin, and most importantly protect the younglings. I like Tala Durith's Character as the strong and committed regular person who was instrumental in helping OBK. She Sacrificed herself for Laia. Even her now-famous Storm Trooper Slap (which totally made me shake my head and giggle) was perfect for my young 6 year old grandson to watch. I know the SW Fan base would have rather had a retired Commander Cody breaking necks, but that wouldn't be cool for the kids. It seems as though they save those kinds of intimate violent acts only for Vader. When Vader comes on, the young kids cover their eyes. To have Tala pull a blade out and cut the throat of one Storm Trooper and kick the other in the nuts to get away would have caught the kids off guard. Cody and Rex had 7 seasons and live in a special place for me and my son when he was a boy. I personally don't like the idea of always trying to have small parts of legend characters in these new series. Cameos are cool or go all the way, like Ahsoka, Mando, and Fett. But, as a storyteller and artist myself, sometimes it's best not to mess around with great art pieces. To know when to leave something alone and say "It's Finished!" can be so hard. I agree with you about writing - just be committed to the writing, directing, and storyline. Too much FAN FEAR. When George didn't have SW fans yet in the 70s is when, I feel, he did his best writing. Just commit to the story you want to tell and the audience you want to reach the make it great. Theory, I still hold my ground, the GL and Disney audience are young kids to grandparents. That is why GL give his universe to Disney. How Disney executes its vision 'Where Dreams Come True is what GL wanted for his universe. Make SW real in our homes, with toys, games, shows, and theme parks. He wanted my children like yourself to feel the way you did when you were a pre-teen and latched on to the hero's journey to help you get through your life. You're seeing the GL vision with Disney play out with these new series. New characters, new heroes, scary villains, old masters, and the fight between good and evil. When I watch/play anything SW on my own and with my kids and grandkids, I can see the youngest respond to Reva and young Laia with hope and tears in their eyes, and I can't help but think about what an amazing story arc that an OG Youngling from the Jedi Temple survived and now becomes a force strong galactic hunter of Inquisitors and Vader goons. Someone, who is called upon by Laia, Ahsoka, and OWK in the future. A Commander Cody, Rex, teaming up with Saw to train Rebels Series could be amazing. But we have the 'Bad Batch'. Which I love. Omega is the perfect new character for Disney to appeal to young kids.
I personally would have preferred a more angst-ridden version where Cody hunts Obi-Wan at Vader's behest (or hunts Jedi in general), and still has an active chip in his head. I like Reva, I think she is an amazing and fascinating character, but having Cody be the one after Obi-Wan would have had an enormous impact emotionally. Just imagine how Obi-Wan would have felt, frantically trying to escape with Leia while Cody is breathing down his neck, and is also the one to break the news of Anakin's survival. Or heck, have both Reva AND Cody. THAT would have been super cool. But hey, who knows? Maybe we'll still get to see Cody again in live action, be it in the Ahsoka show or a possible season 2 of the Kenobi series. I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway.
That story line with Cody would have been a great character exploration. Not like Reva. Would have made Obi's arc as a pathetic hiding Jedi to a more competent one more fluid.
This would’ve been awesome. I think that in bad batch it should uncover how he lost his chip. I feel like there should’ve been a whole show strictly about clones after order 66, and that it shows how cody would find obi wan. I think it would be cool
Hi theory, long time fan and my favorite videos of yours are your “what if” theories. I think a really interesting topic would be what if obi wan and the skywalker twins went to dagobah with yoda.
I’ve been saying since day one that Cody should be in show. Huge disappointment that he wasn’t. But even worse is that he could’ve filled the role of Reva. My thoughts for how he could be involved before hearing about this was that Cody would be hunting for Kenobi since he found out he never killed him. Cody would succeed at drawing out Kenobi from hiding but not kill him. Then Vader would be alerted and then he could come in. IMO, that would’ve been much better than Reva and all her bs.
lots of characters should have been in revas spot. reva didnt have to be in this at all, and she downright shouldnt have been. we should have seen more order 66 against full jedi knights not kids, so we should have seen that from vaders point of view, not a youngling. Reva could be a cool character in another show, but she shouldnt have taken up so much of the kenobi show at all. that destined the character to be hated, poor move by lucasfilm
Reva gets worse and worse as time goes by. She was just always screaming its seemedmout of place and her running through the city like a chimp gets more annoying every time i see it.
Interesting revelation here. I like the idea of Cody being in the show and agree it could have played out better in several aspects. I would far prefer Cody to have been behind the Vader reveal over Reva. Cody could have come to visit Obi-Wan as he was awakening from those ptsd dream footage of Anakin and Padme, and then maybe Obi-Wan opens up to Cody a bit about it. Maybe then Cody mentions Vader in regard to stirring up those dreams, and then that's how Obi-Wan realizes about Anakin being alive, (just an idea). Obi-Wan also would have had someone to flesh out his thoughts with over the realization, aside from calling out to Qui-Gon. Also, maybe Cody would decide to leave Tatooine at the end of the series too, and join up with other surviving clones, so then Obi-Wan would still have been the hermit. I love the ideas of flashbacks, and they did a much better job with this in the 5th episode of Kenobi. The way they did the bacta-tank ones in BOBF were interesting. Boba had a lot of back story to tell, so that show got much more flash back content. I felt the flashbacks included played out much more cohesively the way they were interjected them in Kenobi episode 5 over the BOBF. As much as I'd like to see more flash backs in Ahsoka, I don't get the feeling to expect too much in the way of flashback material in that series.
They could've had Cody working with the path on Mapuzo or Jabiim and have Kenobi naturally come across him. It's very random but at least there would be less plot holes involved lol.
Ithink a story with Cody as well would need more time to film than they had for Kenobi. And maybe they'll revisit this for season 2 where there might be more screentime for Cody rather than trying to shoehorn him in quickly at the start. Alsp kenobi was hidden. Now he's less hidden, so maybe there's a bit more of a trail for Cody to follow now
I said this on your previous video, a story with Cody and obi wan would of been amazing. Even if they made it him still trying to execute order 66 or something. Would of been interesting. hell replace him with Reva and your story is already 10x better.
I remember reading some databank entry written by Cody in The Force Unleashed 2. After the war, he returned to Kamino. I wonder if he survived the battle.

Might’ve been both that and having to use Cody if he’s not with the empire anymore. It would’ve been weird to use Cody at that time and you’d have to explain why Rex doesn’t know about Cody being alive.
@@Deathpool_04 I don't think the folks in charge care a whit about conflicts in canon. Anyway, it didn't happen and all we can do wish.
That would have been awesome. Obi Wan and Cody have unfinished business over what happened.
Dare we hope it'll happen in Season 2?
Kenobi s2 isnt confirmed, but he'll appear in bad batch s2
Idc whether he appears for bad batch. I hope Temuera get another role as cody after book of boba fett cuz its just par of a show. He is a great actor who made attack of the clones way too interesting.
Before Temuera's Jango from atrack of the clones live action movie , it was a romance.
Depends on what happens in Bad Batch S2
@@particularvictims7994 doesnt really have to be for us to know there will be a s2, theres been enough talk about it from them plus the show did so well that their money hungry asses cant resist making another one. and qui gon said to obi wan “we got a long way to go” so i think thats a good hint that we have much more to see of kenobi (and sometimes qui gon)
@@particularvictims7994 speaking of bad batch can someone link Theories Reaction?
I can agree
Cant agree with you more Skeeter3s
Bruh this sucks to hear, I loved their dynamic in the clone wars and during episode 3

Full disclosure I am a Cmdr Wolffe fan.
Kinda wanted to see Cody in live action again, and even interact with Kenobi throughout the series. Kinda sad it didn’t happen.
The more we hear about what was cut the more I'm disappointed with what we got. Their poor choice of story plots is unbearable and soon fans will stop bothering to watch their cheap shows

Reva killing Cody would have been a horrible death.
:DD
Except seeing him again in live action is way cooler than in a 3d animated series.
Nah he was already set in CGI live action Cody already an Icon star, rex never made it to live action so technically it was a stupid mistake Disney made
Congratulations on 3.33 million!! Great video as always theory 💙
At least he'll be in Bad Batch season 2, and orginally he was also gonna be a villain in rebels before it was cut
Hopefully we see him as a prominent villain although I can see Rex contacting the bad Batch for help

I didn’t even think of that. But yeah he was TOTALLY by the book
Unless he was forced to by wolf, gregor, rex or bad batch. But then why wouldn't he stay with them

Kenobi could have been one of the greatest shows ever made if they had just tried.
They literally only had to go with Beattie's original story ideas and it would have been amazing.
Honestly maybe Cody in another show for Me would be cool, But it was a awesome idea, Thanks for the video General Theory 🤘
Honestly the show would have been more interesting with Cody. Seeing them together would have been great.
We should be all excited for Commander Cody in bad batch season 2
I am very excited
Thankfully, that means that Dave Filoni and his creative crew can depict Cody in The SWU, without having to contend with other writers' ingredients baked in to the lore. It's Lucas and Filoni who should have say in what happens to the character. I expect to see Commander Cody show up in The Bad Batch.
I would have loved to see Cody back. A live action clone trooper series would be pretty cool to see them transition into stormtroopers and as the republic also transitions into the Empire. Idk that's something I wouldn't mind seeing.
That clone impression was perfect 😂
I love Theory’s random impressions
Why did they change everything?
This would’ve been so sick!
It is after all just a chip in their heads that they can remove to go back to their pre-order 66 senses
dude amazing content, keep up the good work.
This is why I don’t like getting hyped for these kinds of things
They later reveal who was cut out
I actually would’ve liked if Cody appeared
And so much more was cut out it’s disappointing how good this could’ve been if they just added these thing instead of giving what they gave
Me: "No, no. That's not true. That's impossible!"
SWT: "Search your feelings, you know it to be true."
Me: "Nooooooooo!! Nooooooo!!" 😭
Oscar, you can destroy the Disney SW empire. They have forseen this. Join me in boycotting them as a fandom. Come with me, it is the only way.
@YfabianT great point man… so sad they know what the hell to do with marvel tho. When it comes to Star Wars

Cody would've been cool 100% and would've made a lot of sense to have him look after luke

I would have loved a Cody redemption arc. It would have honored the character and brought more "Diversity" to the show.
I’m fine with it too but I think if it were to happen, Rex should be the one to help him through it.
I don’t want a redemption arc for him. It’s nice having a story that doesn’t always end well for someone. It shows consequences

I thought i was watching more plates more dates !! Got some death star delts too !! Much respect
Commander Cody watching over Luke while Kenobi is off world could have been great
You’re right, where TF were the Clone Wars flashbacks? That’s all I really cared about tbh
JMO.
Incredible story, so glad he's now a fan of the animated offerings too. And I couldn't agree more!! :D
I love that the old outhrough music is back
SWOG here, yes Cody would always be cool.
This almost made me cry fr
SW Theory just casually out here showing us how jacked he is. Weapon 💪
Of course they cut out the characters we know and love for, ReVa a.k.a BeStEsT InQuIsItOr EvEr!
I think if we’d have seen Cody in Kenobi the series would’ve been more painful. But it would’ve been so amazing to see him❤️🔥
That story line with Cody would have been a great character exploration.
If they do plan on making a second season, he'll probably show up.
No need to because he is in bad batch s2
All this aside I'm ordering my first hat next week Friday. Going for the order 66 in red!!... they look dame good can't wait to get one.
Hi theory, long time fan and my favorite videos of yours are your “what if” theories. I think a really interesting topic would be what if obi wan and the skywalker twins went to dagobah with yoda.
One of the best moments of the show was the clone cameo. Would’ve been dope too see Cody. Maybe if the show gets another season? Who knows
Or Cody defects from the Empire as will happen in Bad Batch season 2...
Dude the audiobook of ROTS is absolute 🔥!
It took putting two holocrons together to find Obi-Wan the first time now its just like looking him up in the phone book....
I can see them shoulder gains. OHP has probably been going up!
I remember reading some databank entry written by Cody in The Force Unleashed 2. After the war, he returned to Kamino. I wonder if he survived the battle.
*Bale Organa could’ve had Cody’s chip removed & been head of organa’s security team. Then when Leila was kidnapped bale could’ve sent Cody to tattooine to find “an old friend” for help rescuing her.*
