Sorry, had to post this because I think of it every time I hear the word "toiletries" and had to share - when my youngest was still in grade school, we were almost done packing to leave for a trip. My son asked how much was left to be done. I replied, "I just need to take a quick shower and then pack the toiletries." He scoffed "Toilet trees?? Mom, there's no such thing as toilet trees." 😂😂
I saw this above but wanted to be sure you know that LA Totally Awesome is supposed to be diluted! Really diluted!! One bottle lasts forever! Just buy one or more empty spray bottles and be sure to label what is in them! It is a GREAT grease cutter for countertops and stoves, and a laundry treatment and carpet cleaning spray, too. I have used it forever! Great content today!😊
I saw a video of a gentleman who uses it for power washing buildings in his business! Pretty amazing what the houses looked like before and after he used it!
I buy the Blistex ointment (red & white tube) for lips, and believe it or not those annoying little skin cuts you sometimes get on the corners of your thumbs or index fingers. Or if you get cracks on your hands from dry weather. The menthol in the ointment numbs those pesky little cuts that, no lie, have woke me from a sound sleep because they hurt so bad. I used to suggest it to other nurses when I was still working.
I've been binge watching your videos! Trying to get organized and minimalize - all in one! lol You have the best videos for both that I have recently watched. I'm 70 plus years young but not dead yet, and I need to get this house in order. TY for your tips and tricks! Very helpful! And plus - you make me laugh!!!
I've been buying clothes pins instead of bag clips for years. You can get a hundred for a few dollars. They last for decades. You can put them on bags in the freezer, and in a pinch you can hang clothes with them.
Another tip with the lockers! There is a small tray in the catering/party section that fits on top like a lid and then they stack! The lip from the tray keeps the top one from sliding around!
I'm in Iowa too but more specifically Des Moines. I wonder if I should drive out to the ones 30 minutes away for some of this stuff since buying online for similar just absolutely robs my wallet.
Watch out for lead and cadmium in plates , bowls, cups, and glasses. The best place I've found to get really safe dishware and cups is the white frostique from Corningware. Made in USA.
I have also opened up cartons that have a round screw top like milk or orange juice to cut pouring lids for canning jars. Some of them i have been using for years! I keep my shopping bags inside a shopping bag and use a jumbo caribbeaner through the handles. It's easier to carry and you can clip it to the cart handle. (I saw another woman do this and copied😂)
@@Lynn_Clifton are you asking me? Open up a milk carton. Trace a canning lid around the pour spout. Cut it out and put it in your canning ring. I only use this for dry goods (spices). I suppose you could seal it with a silicone ring.
Note: Melamine sponges-cheaper on Amazon. As I have been buying Mr Clean ones at Dollar Tree but I just found them on Amazon! Also, I have been using LA’s cleaner for 30 years, and it IS concentrated. Just sharing! Thanks again for all the years of great content! We appreciate you!
I had to tell.. because my dad was in the car industry for a long time he said that armor all isn't a very good product to use the sun breaks down your tires and dash..
I use the small glass bowls daily for food prep when I measure out all the spices. Pink kitchen gloves for cat litter, dish wand great for glass shower door and one to scrub litter box outside w/hose. Party tablecloths, balloons, candles, 👍🏼
Another thing I like alot is their directional night light. I also use the clear condiment bottles for pouring my dish soap from its large bottle and keep individual bottles in a tray with my other dish cleaning products. I used to buy my cosmetics from Clinique etc. as I got closer to retirement I knew when we moved rural Id have to use other brands somI started with Walgreens. But even they are SO expensive so Dollar Tree to the rescue. I now use almost exclusively DT cosmetics. When I find some thing I really like I stock up bigly.
You’re 1,000% correct about the DT “Foaming Glass Cleaner,” it’s literally the best of the best. Windex nor any other brands don’t come close in performance. Mirrors and windows sparkle on one pass with no streaking what so ever. Awesome all purpose cleaner is an excellent product also. Great video.
I clean glass with 50/50 water and vinegar in a Dollar Tree spray bottle. Add cut up lemon rind for a nice smell! I use coffee filters to wipe the glass. No lint, costs less than paper towels. I clean my kitchen and bathroom counters this way.
I wish I had a Dollar Tree near me than has big of selection as yours. I have 3 in my immediate area and none of them are as good. Thanks for your video. 😊😊
HELLO... The Dollar Trees near me... about 6 of them or so... have catalogs at the registers. You can order what you like and if you have it delivered to the store, it's free shipping. I think it's an excellent way to get the products that other DOLLAR TREES have available. Hope this helps! God bless you and those you love! Peace... Lynne🍃💜✝️💜🍃
Years ago my Sister n I bought a pretty set of dishes for two and made them an Anniversary Dinner for the two of them, my Mom had recently got out of the hospital for heart operation so wasn't up to going out! She put the set of dishes in her China Cupboard on display she was with us for a few more months then passed! One of my Sisters-inlaws asked if she could have set, my Sister n I said sure!
Yes, that Blistex Lip Medex has been very popular in "Black"/Brown Boston/MA communities, as well as NYC for _decades._ Soothing, but can actually make your lips peel more in the back end. I find that Aquaphor is stellar for hydration, sealing, chap prevention _and_ gloss, w/o it peeling. A tub will last you through the winter (although Boston Winters of yore seem to now be a thing of the past) for your lips AND rest of your skin. One product w/ multiple benefits AND uses!
My best Dollar Tree Find was when I reached in a box for some napkins and pulled out a diamond ring. Advertised in many places for the rightful owner, but nobody came forward. I took it into a Jeweler and was told it was definitely real and worth a couple thousand $$$.
I absolutely agree the Blistex lip balm is by far the best lip healer. & as you said it transforms chapped lips in a few hours. I’ve even ordered this product from Amazon when I couldn’t find it. Thank you greatly for your hacks, strategies and great ideas! 🌞
I agree! Also, I have found Blistex is about the only thing that works when I have a cold sore. (For me, others may have different products they like more).
Fantastic presentation! Dollar tree has always been my favorite of the dollar store. I’m definitely going to be more discerning in my shopping there for some of your ideas. Thank you.
The glass cleaner is the best I have tried and I have bought several expensive brands. I've recently noticed they have not had that brand at any of the stores near me recently. I asked a couple of the stores and they told me that they may have discontinued that brand. They are also made in the USA so I'm really disappointed if they are no longer selling them.
Lip Medex is the BEST product at the Dollar Tree! I too have tried them all, and Lip Medex beats the competition. Every person I've told is now addicted and keeps them all over the house.
Thank you for ALL the great ideas. You move along and can tell us so much in a short time. You have a REAL way of describing things and it makes it easy to relate. Have a good week.
One more thing Kallie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🥳!!! I remembered we share the same birthday 🎂!!! My fellow Pisces!! Hope it was a special day!!!! ❤ !!!! Love 💕 you!! Jackie on the East Coast too!!! 🥰
BBQ scrub pads work well, All of LA's Awesome cleaner stuff works for me. Buy the buckets too. I buy Kraft BBQ sauces, $1.25 is cheaper than the grocery stores, tastes the same along with being the same size. Regular eraser sponges also work well. I bought the metal silverware. Ziplock bags. Hell I bought most of the much-needed stuff for my house. 6 pack of sponges with green scrub pads attached, which I buy in large quantities seeing as Dollar Tree is 30 miles round trip for me. P.S. It is 90 degrees at my house. 😊
I use the DT chalk marker on my black fridge to list out the menu for the week and keep track of the left overs. Wipes off clean andbi can start over every week without wasting food or paper.
I have a whole set of plates and bowls I got at the Dollar Tree. They are dishwasher safe and are honestly in much better shape than another set I got that way much more expensive.
Just wanted to chime in about the squeeze bottles. They are not BPA free. I even checked on the website. So, I don't use them for food. I use them fir crafting. I use the pen/pencil organizer for my makeup brushes. Spray painted it white to match my bathroom counters. Finally, my fave sheet masks come 2 to a box, but the last time I purchased them there was only one inside each box. I don't know if this is due to customer pilferring or just a labeling mistake, but beware.
Seen a few of these around before, but overall - this is THE BEST, most helpful video for household hacks!! I kept rewinding to watch them again throughout 😂 !! I will be using your suggestions- wish I'd had some of these specific ones back when I first moved into a new apartment... would've saved me so much time searching, and $$ 😮!!
I found the cutest Christmas/winter mugs this past season. They were white with snowman faces on them. I'm glad I bought them when Isaw them because they disappeared fast!
I like how you make those DT videos, they are kind of meditative 😊 Where I live there are no Dollar Tree shops and we don't use dollars here)) but some items are universal and I can use a couple of ideas!
A lot of good finds but I will say that I have bought 4 or 5 of the the push lights and they won't stay put, they fall after an hour or 2. I might need to try super glue 🤪 thank you for sharing. I love your channel 😊
Thanks, Kallie! You're always so helpful and come up with great ideas. I've found some terrific products thanks to you--love the Optimus pens, for one. 🤗
Dawn for dishes all the way but I leave the regular green palm olive in the bathroom for that time of the month because when leaks happen it gets the red out so much better than anything else I've tried
We were fixing our eavestrough. I used a carabiner to attach a bucket to the end of our broom handle to pass items up to the roof (from the deck, not the ground 😂)
✨ Went to Dollar Tree today. Wasn’t able to find much. The soap dispensing brush rocks, the squeegee is great, I’ve tried other mentions in the vid and like them. I picked up the Blistex Lip MedEx cz my lips are always scratchy, esp in Upstate NY. The Blistex has that icy-hot, menthol sensation which is cringy. It doesn’t seem to work any better than a mini petroleum jelly.. I’ll make use of it, but not a fave. Can’t wait to move to a bigger town or city where more things are avail! Thank you for the video and ideas!!
I totally agree with you about the gift wrap. I bought some to wrap my nieces' birthday gifts and I was very disappointed. Plus, there's not a lot on there, so you're not really saving much.
A much better deal is Hobby Lobby wrapping paper. Get it half off before Christmas time, and you can find patterns that can be used other than for Christmas. It's great quality, nice and thick, and even has the grid lines on the back, which I love. And the rolls are really long. ❤
The blisters lip balm is the best! I use a different colour one but it is great for cracked dry lips it is good for around the edge of your nose if you have a cold and your nose is raw from blowing it I also use it to help when I get cold sores and it helps it not hurt so much and they don't last as long
Great suggestions, as always! AMAZING what so little can bring such BIG rewards!!! I agree on the Chap Stick Choice..BEST there is!!! …As far as dinnerware.. when I moved here, I bought some dinnerware “interim” until I unpacked… wellll I liked them so much I use them more than my actual dinnerware…lol…once I unpacked.. great quality…What area from the East Coast are you from? Thanks Kallie!! You’re awesome 🤩.. see you in the next video! 😊 ❤
What an awesome idea - I bought a few of these a couple years ago but never came up with a use for them. Usability question- everything is staying standing nice in the video (pens, scissors…..) but as you’re using it, moving it around, getting and putting away supplies…. Do they stay nice or slide down under the middle? I was thinking maybe little DT buckets or round baskets might fit good inside to keep that from happening?
I love Blistex as it's the only lip protector that actually works for me. I find the one in the tube to work best, but DT seldom has those, so I have the pots in my car, kitchen, bathroom, nightstand, purse, etc. They had a Vicks type chest rub stick that really came in handy during flu season. DT also has white microwave safe casseroles in round and oval shapes. Those are an unsung item that are a staple in my house. They are particularly great for messy foods, as cleanup is a breeze.
Blistex is the best, it's the camphor that heals chapped lips. Also good to use when from either allergies or a cold your nose gets sore. Very soothing.
I like the cocoa butter lip balms that dollar tree sells so nice. Also Sunflower and pumpkin seeds are about half the price as anywhere else for the same brands
This was great! Eye opening & very helpful. I'll be looking for many of these items next time I go into the Dollar Tree. I used to only get gift boxes & bags, and then greeting cards there, after someone told me to check them out... but just lately I started looking around & finding other things. Some of the things you mention here I always got at CVS, and even with a coupon (which they haven't been doling out lately) so much more expensive. I have recently gotten the kitchen rubber gloves, and Cascade dish washer pods there, much better price. Tks again.
I totally agree. "But first, coffee" and only buy the bags, not the wrap at Dollar Tree. Many things are good ENOUGH for the time being. I have loved some of the patterns/mugs. No room to save holiday decorations; but if we did, I'd get all my Yule/Aestra/Christmas and all the rest. (Yes. We like celebrations) Nice mason jar hacks! May I add...the 3 pack of sink strainers? They fit mason jars, for sprouting, sifting, grinding herbs. Got some silicone tops for pickling. I love the little metal baskets for organization. Battery push lights? CAMPING! Pantry, mudroom. Clear condiment containers; we do our own oils and vinegars, salad dressings, etc. Bud vases, plant cache pots...and spraypaint. Usually, they're a little LOUD for us but we can fix that. Towel clamps. YES. "bag clips" for snacks, clothespins for drying clothes, two are in the freezer holding frozen veggie bags shut. I understand the "touch" thing to decide. I don't always buy an item if it feels too flimsy, but not all items are. Organizers, invest in your own SANITY...YES. So much easier to keep thing tidy that have a place. I'm all for transparent containers; I want immediate recognition of contents. ALWAYS have the over the door hooks. Thank you for your napkin dispenser hacks! Subscribed!

Get a laundry 🧺. Put it in your trunk. Use the basket to carry in groceries. My coworker gave me this idea and it's wonderful!
I keep collapsible crates so they take up less space when not needed
We keep a child's red wagon in the driveway near where we park the car and use it to haul groceries up to the porch .

I have a " free" lounger that is very stained. I'm going to try using that.
It depends on which LA Totally awesome product as far as diluting it. Some comes diluted.
I saw a video of a gentleman who uses it for power washing buildings in his business! Pretty amazing what the houses looked like before and after he used it!
Mini super glues are convenient. Larger tubes always seal themselves shut and become useless.
Those fake crocs are fantastic!! I use one pair as shower shoes. I have foot pain and these are nice and cushy and they don't slip.

I use the puck lights in my refrigerator. The tall items seem to block the light on the lower shelves .
At Publix, in Florida, I ask for paper bags at the checkout. I use them to wrap gifts. Tie a ribbon around it. I buy a bag of ribbon at yard sales.
What a great video! Those glasses repair kits are a must have!
The blisters lip balm is the best! I use a different colour one but it is great for cracked dry lips it is good for around the edge of your nose if you have a cold and your nose is raw from blowing it I also use it to help when I get cold sores and it helps it not hurt so much and they don't last as long
I just hope I can get there before everyone else. My local DT is quite small and also quite picked over most of the time. Really enjoyed this video!
Love all of these suggestions! I have 3 DTs pretty close, and one of them is a bigger DT, but can never find the little 3 compartment bin 😖
Greetings, from the Jersey Shore!
I use paper plates as cutting boards. Then toss.
Finally going back to CT after 23 years and this video is a gem because one place I'm going to is the dollar tree 😅😅 in PR there is none 😢
You have a great dollar tree! Thanks for sharing
I like the cocoa butter lip balms that dollar tree sells so nice. Also Sunflower and pumpkin seeds are about half the price as anywhere else for the same brands
Awesome video as usual! My shopping list is growing! 🎉
Tks again.
Thanks for all of the great ideas!
You're lucky to have such a well stocked dollar tree
I buy every thing. Love make up . Love gift bags and cards.
I totally agree with you with this lip product.. I have tried different products and only this one worked for me.. love it👍👍
I totally agree. Subscribed!
on the removable hooks, they are great but beware because they do peel the paint off the wall or surface. At least that was my experience.
Dont you love Peppermint Sage cleaner. Got it in my arsinal. Great video as always Kallie😊😊
Now I want to go to Dollar Tree! Love all the items you introduced to us !
Your gift baskets are Lovely!🙋
