I live in a cottage built in 1937 with one maybe two outlets per room and little over head lighting. The rechargeable lightbulbs are a game changer. I can now have lamps where I need lamps without running extension cords.

I was watching your channel back before the name change… and before you had several children even. I CONTINUE to watch it bc we are ALL busy and can easily have cluttered lives. I personally suffer from Debilitating daily pain that varies between severe and life “haulting” as well as frequent sublexes and dislocations of major joints (like knees, hips, shoulders, toes, fingers) from severe Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (Hypermobility Type). It’s also very energy zapping specially since I’ve now needed to use a walker.
Your “hack” and life tips/tricks are GAME CHANGING in helping me continue to do as much as possible~> as easy as possible. Everywhere I can save a little energy and time allows me to put it into something else including my husband. Specifically since most days-> less moving/standing can mean less pain while continuing to create/live the life/home I want. Thank you so much for continuing to create fantastic content!!

Another really wonderful use for AirTags are if you have pets! I have one each one of mine! They make collars especially for them! But, not only are they super useful if one of your cat is hiding and you can’t find them, but also knowing if your dog gets out or away from you, you can then find them!

SHOUT in the AEROSOL CAN is GREAT for getting any kind of GREASE out of clothing! My husband worked heavy equipment and aerosol SHOUT (not the squirt bottle) was the only thing that removed the grease and hydrolic fluid from his clothing. It also removes kitchen oil and grease splatters on my clothing. Just spray and toss in the wash. Believe me, I tried every stain remover on the market, even Awesome multi-purpose from the Dollar Store, NOTHING worked until I found SHOUT aerosol. Yes, it's petroleum based, but it's the only thing that works.

You can buy teflon sheets that can be put under the gas burners and can help you with keeping the stove clean.
Also, power cords that are wound up on a cylinder are only meant for storage and not supposed to be used that way, as they generate heat when wound up and are under load. They are usually required to have a built-in heat switch that acts as a breaker for that specific reason, as they can be a fire hazard. With shorter cables, they might not be that much of a problem, but I would definitely check the users manual.
To keep your double sided velcro on your cables, make a hole in it near one end, thread the other end through and make a loop to secure it on the cable. This way, you won't run the risk of accidentally rolling it down from your cable, when unwrapping it.

I love your channel for the cleaning/decluttering motivation videos and tips, but these ads aren't my favorite... to each their own, but for me, I'm trying to consume less and save more money and space, so these feel like a contradiction to me. For those who enjoy them and have the extra money to spend, good for you for helping her make money for her family.
Congratulations on your new house! 🎉
I know you and your family will make it into a beautiful home. ❤

I absolutely love that you do all the looking and testing so I don't have to. That means I watch nearly all of your Amazon recommendation videos. But this one, unfortunately, seems to cover things you've already featured in recent videos. At a quick glance, there only appear to be 6-7 things out of 33 I haven't seen you cover before. If you're going to do an Amazon recommendations video, could you make sure most of it is stuff you haven't covered before, or at least not recently? Thanks!

    • @lauralaforge558
      @lauralaforge558 3 місяці тому +1

Careful as she really doesn't test that much. She is constantly swapping out items, so if you follow up with her in 6 months, I bet many of those things she heartily endorsed would no longer be in her house.
I'd be very interested if she only featured items that have lived in her house and she's used for 6 months or more.
And if she replaced the item, go back and edit the previous video and compare the old item she loved with the new item she loves more. That would seem like more authentic consumer friendly content to me. Instead of just standard influencer content.

Instead of using the dissolvable labels, consider that sharpies were designed to be used on glass for lab testing and washed off after. If your storage-ware is glass, you don’t have to buy anything!

    1. Really like the trash bag idea- would be awesome to figure out some kind of dollar tree diy. I always have a surplus of grocery store plastic bags that would work great for that in the car, but I'm not really sure how space wise to make that work hanging off the seat. I am going to look into the ones you mentioned for a vacation coming up, though I think that would be worth the cost to keep the car clean for special occasion like that.
    2. I could be wrong but I think it was you there a while back I saw a video a laundry hack for doing one load for each person is simplify things. That did not work in our household, however, I applied idea to clean folded basket for each person for when things come out of the dryer seems to be working.
    Thanks for great videos/ideas 🙂🙂

Thank you for the videos. They are nicely done, and I usually learn something. The herb saver, tho, is the same as a tall glass with water in the bottom, covered with a plastic bag--for free! And easier to clean! And I occasionally run across a tall, skinny plastic container full of popcorn or similar product at Target which is PERFECT!

Re the cord wrappers that stick onto appliances. I love them, but many are quite light and pull loose if your appliance has a heavier cord. I have discovered that before placing the wrapper thingie, take your appliance cord, wrap it around the appliance a time or two, and then wrap the cord around the thingie, and then find the sweet spot on the appliance to stick the wrapper! Don't stick the wrapper on first. There are several kinds, and some work better than others for the heavy cords. But figuring out how to wrap the cord, sometimes around the appliance first, and where that sweet spot is, can save a lot of aggravation!

Ziplock bag holder-open! Again, a tall glass, fold the top over the sides. I am cramped for space, so any specialized tool that I can NOT order is great! This is at the top of the list!
