I'm a 58 yr old retired homeschool mom. And I was DELIGHTED with your video with many fresh ideas I've not seen before. Awesome job!
Ditto! But I’m 81, and a BUNCH of these are going into our RV!
Great video!
I appreciate that your home has a balance of really nice decor and cohesive organisation but not in an overly pinterest, unattainable way. I love watching hacks online but sometimes peoples houses look like show homes and your home is cute and well organised but also realistic so thank you for showing that
Ask you something or what
There are a lot of dollar tree hack videos out there and I personally feel that yours is the most practical and helpful. Thank you.
I have a wall that i hung the craft paper vertically across for my grand kids to be able to do art on. When they fill it up, we take it down and spool out some more for new uses. The one we cut down, we cut out the different things they've made and put together a scrap book of each one's art, and let them give it as a present to their mom and dad for Christmas. My oldest grand baby is now 13, and his parents have all of those books we made. Since he was 2.
I got it wrong... I hung it horizontally, not vertically.
@@deborahsimpsonauthor4507fantastic idea!
I did similar things with my oldest child.
My youngest wasn't as interested.
I'm going to do more with my 2 and 4 year old granddaughters, though!
Lol great idea because my dad raised me himself which explains why I colored & painted directly on the walls. I'm 55 and I still paint murals directly on the walls, backsplash, cabinet doors, the back shed... 😂
I just want you to know that on those days that I'm feeling a bit down I come to your channel and catch up on your videos to bring a smile to my face. Love you 😍
For the popsicle stick shelves, or staining any dollar tree wood (including Jenga blocks) - easiest way to stain a bunch of them all at once is some watered down paint in a ziploc bag - adjust the dilution level of paint and length of time in bag to adjust the darkness of the stain. Lay out to dry on paper towels, then use.
p.s. works on wooden beads too...
PJP you are a genius thank you
Soak them in coffee works too
You're a Godsend! Thanks!
@@kristisparkman9007you can soak linens and easter eggs in coffee, tea, beet juice and boiled red onions but wow I didn't think about wood!
You're so funny! Thanks for sharing your creativity, humility and humor!❤
love your clarity, non syurpy voice, fast pace! thanks for your work.
I absolutely agree. As a southerner it's refreshing to hear someone who is direct, quick, succinct and to the point (I'm sure I've overlapped, as we southerners are wont to do😂)
Your video was so energetic. I don’t know where you get your energy. So many great ideas. Best of luck with your new baby. You’ve got your hands full. You are truly blessed. Thank you for your time and effort and creativity.♥️
Kallie, I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your videos. First, because as soon as they come on, you are the only one that takes into consideration the volume. Other videos come on and I am immediately trying to increase the volume (even though it is already set as high as it will go). Thank you, thank you, thank you! I immediately am filled with joy as soon as I hear your theme song come on! Secondly, you are able to totally ignore all the "bad-mouthers" that come on here and comment. Today, I found myself commenting to one of them, telling them to "just go away". This is so unlike me, and I don't know what got into me, but I just don't understand why they even stop to leave a comment if they don't like the content. I, for one, really appreciate your content and love your sense of humor! Thank you for always making my day a happy one!
Hi Kallie first I like your ideas and diy to help us. It’s my first time to watch you. Omg are a genie ok i like you. To help me or ideas how to storage dirty panties. Why I think it’s personal. I don’t like the idea t put on the basket where my husband and I put dirty clothes together I don’t I like. So please can please make a video how storage dirty panties separately from dean sucks. Table clothes excetera and how to storage messy mail Thank you
@danouchkacabane2526 Just an FYI from a 60+ y.o. - it really doesn't matter if dirty clothes are mixed together. This seems like a personal choice or something to do with his job? The laundry detergent takes care of pretty much anything. Depending on the laundry detergent.
But - depending on the job your husband has, yes some odors are harder to get out. So a couple suggestions: #1. Get more than 1 laundry basket. Put HIS where he is most likely to undress. Probably the bathroom. Put yours in the Bedroom on the far side of the bedroom. Where he he is less likely to walk over to.
#2. Add a cup of white vinegar to his wash. This will enhance the wash and help get out odors. Don't use dryer sheets. They can set odors. They are actually covering them up. Sam with scented laundry soap.
Also, if using a brand like Tide, Era, etc., switch to a natural brand like Seventh Generation, 9 Elements, etc. These products just clean clothes.
Also for mail: get 2 small lower sided baskets to set on the kitchen counterside by side. Label Each One. As soon as you come in with the mail, sort through for junk mail. Place junk mail in its basket and the Important Mail in it's basket. Then puck one day week to shred/tear up/obliterate junk mail and go through Important Mail. If necessary put this on your calendar every week.
Use those plastic containers that pretzels and other snacks come in from Costco as food containers for things that come in a bulk bag like flour or coffee! Try to reuse before buying new, but the dollar tree containers and baskets are good options too
The tangled hose thing can be explained in one word... gremlins 😂
Also, I LOVE the inside the cupboard door, measuring cups and t-spoons hack. I am SOOOO stealing that. Also, hanging the cooling bent cooling rack on the wall with command straps! Waaaay cool 😎! Incidentally, great job on the faux wood-looking spice rack thingie. Very nice!!!!!
Thank you for sharing all of these inexpensive hacks!
Outstanding Hacks.
Congrats on the baby ❤🤗
Thank you for a ton of awesome ideas. Things I would have never thought of in a million years. I can't wait to try some out. 😊
Thank you for these hacks! Your hair looks fantastic! Also, your postpartum glow is divine ;)
Thank you! Not just for the ideas, but for being REAL. I loved where you showed us how you used the wire shelf you made under your bathroom vanity. It was "organized" but real life messy "organized'. Not the perfect Pinterest/ magazine look.
Real life is called "Organized Chaos" at my house.
Best Dollar tree hacks EVER!!!!! . LOVE your little inserts about the hair ties and socks have a convention every year.... laughing 😅😅. You're so beautiful, crafty, funny and so smart. I absolutely loved this video. I saved and will refer back to it . Thank you for all that brain storming for these great hacks
Love how fast you mention everything and absolutely love that you’ll write ‘subscribe’ instead of taking time to tell ppl to subscribe.. and you’re adorable..
The worst are the ones that say- tell me what you think in the comments- every five seconds
The best so far I’ve seen for dollar store; and I’ve seen a lot- this was the most functional, versatile and out the box! Thanks
30:54 this would be great for using vertical space on a vanity top for storing multiple tubes of toothpaste if you’re short on storage there
Great, creative ideas. I recommend writing the expiration date on the removable labels you put on storage containers with decanted food items. It helps me keep track of how long I have to use an item so I don’t waste anything.
I actually do that as well as cut the bag to show important information and adhere that to the bottom of containers on new products.
I do that with my sugar and flour containers once I put it inside the container, I cut the expiration date off and just tape it to the top of the lid.
Or, if your labels are slick enough to be erasable, use an erasable Marker on a blank label. Wipe, and reuse.
Kallie, I have to say that this was an awesome video. I love your energy and creativity. Your hair is beautiful, and you're glowing ✨️ . Congratulations on your new blessings to the family. I love me some DT and how you can create the best of the DT items.
My favorite hack is the binder with the pencil pouches to organize cords. Brilliant. My dollar tree is located in such a sketchy area but this video almost makes me want to go now or find a different one.
Use street smarts- Google it, stay OFF your phone, keep your eyes and ears open, don't look like an easy target/rich/worried, don't take a purse/large bag, no valuables in car, tracker hidden in car, take a friend but don't let them preoccupy your attention away from surroundings, no heavy jewelry, LOCK YOUR DOORS, know your surroundings before you get out of the car AND when you exit the store, don't flash your money/giant wallet, know self defense, pepper spray in hand and READY to fire, don't talk to strangers, don't stop for strangers, keep your dominant hand available/ready to defend yourself, look/park/get out quickly, don't have your purse open in your cart/on your person (I've seen it and warned multiple women), throw your stuff in the car and don't hunch over it unaware, no dilly-dallying about, ASK for someone to walk you to your car if concerning situation, wear your "don't mess with me" clothes/makeup, and if you see something "off" keep your distance, call the cops and GTFO. You can do it!
Don't go on the first of the month (lots of targets with money) and avoid the last of the month (desperate people with no money/addicts that ran out of SSI/what have you money) looking for easy targets).
Excellent. By the way, the small “laundry basket” is useful for when y’re removing wet clothes and you don’t want them to fall on the floor.
You DID IT!!! That was amazing . We are moving to an on-post house smaller than our last home and I’ll be using so many of these ideas! Thank you!!!
So I am fairly new to your channel and when you said "VCR cords" I was sold😂😂😂 you are awesome!
I use the mesh laundry bag for socks.
I labeled some "dirty" with a permanent marker and others "clean" for each person. Each could even include the individual names.
Now the entire load of dirty socks are washed at once. The occasional lost sock lands in the clean bag so that when (or if) the mate appears it's easy to locate it's match. So far so good!
I love so many ideas on your list!! My favorite may be the idea of organizing cords inside of the thick plastic pencil case. I've tried so many things and haven't found anything that really works. I think this may be the solution!!
I REALLY, REALLY love the introduction to these videos. It cheers me up & makes me smile.
Your pantry is like "The Budget Home Edit." LOVE IT. I use those baking cooling racks to store my french hook earrings. I tied a ribbon through the top row, put a bow on it, and hung it up.
all of what you did was brilliant. THANK YOU!!
I am so unorganized, I want to get organized but somehow I don't have the motivation. By seeing your video of all these organization ideas has inspired me to make it a reality. Thank you for sharing all your great DIY tip ideas. That's why I like to look up things to see how people do stuff, because people do things differently. Its a great help to people like me. Thank you again
Thanks for sharing all of these. I’m actually off to the dollar tree to grab a bunch of storage things based on your video. We moved from a 5 bdr house, one went away to college, but is now back due to COVID downsizing….and we’re trying desperately to organize things. So many great ideas. I just get overwhelmed and can’t think of things anymore. So, bless you
This was a great video filled with so many useful ideas. I just wanted to warn about using caution when cutting the tie wraps down when you use them to connect the shelves together. The tiny end that is left can be extremely sharp. If you use that idea it's best to make sure the sharp edge is turned down.
KALLIE! Loved this video. You are so creative, and had me laughing too. I've always loved Dollar Tree, which my girls and I now loving call "The Dollar 25." ☺
Kallie, love these! Love your shout out to Megan...She has some great hacks too.
My daughter and I downsized so instantly lost 5 good sized cupboards in my hall alone, and everything must fit into just one cupboard that only has 3 shelving!😱
One hack I do use a lot is get a 3 or 4 tier tower storage unit. [You can spray paint the frames if you want a different look] If you can't fit 4 drawers in cupboard, split them into 2 drawers I have one drawer for First Aid Kit, Lightbulbs, then used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to make vinyl labels with the name and shape [plasters for First Aid, Lightbulbs for that drawer] this helps my Daughter who has learning disabilities, but also my other Daughter when she visits, know where everything goes if they need something or help me put messages away.
As I live in Scotland, UK, we don't have Dollar Tree but believe Poundland, B&M, Poundstretcher etc are our equivalent shops, s fingers crossed will be able to find items that I can use to recreate your ideas. TYFS 💞
Great video packed with hacks🤗 Love the Megan shoutout...she was def where I first saw that one! I cannot see the locker bins now without thinking of Bargain Bethany's stacking hack😉 I've had that crafting quote in my craft room for years😂 You are so funny, sweet, and relatable❤🙏🏾
How can the locker bins be stacked? I don’t think I saw that one?
@@conniestallworth2043 Use the clear trays from the party section between the bins...genius!😉
Dollar Trees are hit or miss. TODAY I HIT THE JACKPOT! So many plastic organizing items I didn't know I needed AND lots of paper towel holders so i bought a few to solve my toilet paper storage dilemma! They had great lunch containers and some came with small, hard plastic ice packs-1.5 and 2 oz round and square containers.
Love these smart but simple sometimes too much work and I know myself too well and have good intentions but never diy it myself and I end up with literally more clutter lol
I love your version of the “string theory” science effect for things getting knotted up. You make things so easy to understand
Just a quick addition for those lovely basket labels. You can also get some of the thin dry erase boards, cut them to the size of the label space and use those for the names. They would sit more securely into the holder, but still are completely reusable. Thanks for all the great ideas!
I am loving you!!! You are actually using things that are around the house from other products. What is more amazing is that we don't have to purchase things from a hardwood store in order to build success! ❤❤❤
I love that all the bins can be put in the dishwasher when they get grungy.
Kallie, I just discovered your channel this evening and I love, love, love!!! You and your ideas and your energy and your sense of humor plus common sense is both hilarious and perfectly balanced!!! You have great insight into real life and day to day adventures. Thank you for your honesty and for sharing what goes on on in your mind. Can’t wait to see the next show!!!😊😂❤
Like all of your storage.
I've seen people drill holes in the plastic animals and use them in the bathroom for kids toothbrushes.
Wow! A treasure trove of organizing!!
I’ve used the paper towel holder to put rolls of gorilla, paint, and packing tape in the tools closet.
I have a broken frame, and I’m off to the dollar tree to get a hinge and a ruler. Thank you so much.
You can label locker bins with dry erase marker and then scrub off and reuse. Great as temporary storage until you are positive that you want something in a certain spot.
Ok, so here's how the cord tangling thing was explained to me. Basically, it comes down to probability. You've got a pile of "data points" in a pile of cords or hose, and there's a very limited way to organize all the "points" of that cord in which it won't be tangled.
So if those points aren't held in place, it's far, far more likely to fall into an order that isn't one of the tidy ones. There's just more ways to be disordered than there are to be ordered.
Sounds like something my fiancee would say to get out of it😂
I really enjoyed this video. Many great ideas. Thanks
Thanks for the useful tips. I love your sense of humor!
Thank You Now I’m going to get some Coffee❤️
I use the baskets & bins for several things but attach those little wheel/roller things on the bottoms, especially for under the sink cabinet or under vanities, so they just roll out to reach everything easily.
I am speechless of how many diy that u made in that video
Super smart... thanks a lot
I'm very grateful for any inspiration that leads to an improved organisation of my little space. Thank you. ❤
LOOOOVE the 4 square dry erase thingy. We have 4 kids and I have been trying to find something new that is function, practical, and affordable for chores… this is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for!
Using the glass is a bit scary for me though. I'd be worried if a bumped it.
I love these ideas! Thank you
Using the wire cooling racks as hanging shelves is just brilliant! I've wanted to get the blow dryer off the bathroom counter for years but didn't have a convenient location to store it. I grabbed a cooling rack, bent it as you show in the video and hung it on the inside of the sink cabinet door with DT command hook knock-offs. The blow dryer fits nicely inside and my counter is finally clear!
The cooling rack seems better fit than a basket for most dryers anyway. And for a curling iron/ hair straightener.
Lots of great ideas! Thanks Kallie!! And congrats on your newest addition to the family. 👶
That was amazing. Wow, so many wonderful ideas, tips, hacks, etc. Now, I need to go back & screen shot the ones that I hope to use & make a $ Tree file for them! I don’t know how people come up with all of these tips & tricks because when I see an item, my mind never goes to what else can I use it for! I just had to subscribe, you are a genius!!!
I love the bedside storage idea, which is if I can keep my nosey 🐈 out of it😂
You really should be making a living as a closet or organizing consultant. The ideas you have are wonderful and original. I am 71, retired, and have a nice but small apartment with limited storage in all areas. I am headed to the dollar tree and see what and can find. Thank you for your help.👍☕
I really like your videos because your ideas are so practical and useful 👌 especially for moms❤
That was great. Thank you.
Love these!!!!!
This has been such a big help to me I can not wait to use the tips you have supplied us with thanks to this video along with before and after photos.😁😂
The DT dish pan is great for messy kids arts & crafts, playdough, Treasure X, or "dig the toy out of the sand." I also use them to mix my own potting mix, carrying my garden tools and seeds around the garden, and tie dye projects. Or chicken dust baths ... the possibilities are endless!
Dust baths, yes! This last clutch i had were def thw oddest ive ever had and the bins were too tall or something? I have no idea but i tried the DT plastic pan for used motor oil found in the hardware/auto section. Worked great, not sure why, but it did!
Especially around Thanksgiving, in the food storage area, DT has 9x12 containers with blue lids. [They usually have a 9x9 one also.] They come in 1 inch and 2 inch depths and are great for storing craft supplies (one for each project), and they stack since they have lids. I also use them for paperwork, although the inside bottom is just shy of holding 8.5x11 papers flat.
Great tips and wonderful ideas for storing all sorts of things .. ty for sharing your thoughts on storage through the hose
WOW!! Hats off to DO’s stylist!!! The man looks SHATCHED!
Wow! So many good ideas! I can’t wait to try a few!
This was AMAZING. Thank you so much. ❤️
Great ideas! Thank you for this!
Labels are life! 😄
So, I'm totally on the same page with you there. You're right also. It allows you to go on "autopilot" when you're putting things away lol
Love the dry erase board!
Fantastic ideas.
Thank You for all these cool ways to organize. 😊
You have such great ideas! 😊 Thank you for the suggestions.
You are AWESOME 🎉 thankyou
Fabulous job on this one ! Learmed a LOT ! THANKS SO.MUCH 😉
Great ideas!
I love all of you hacks!! So many to try.
Thank you for the ideas blessings
I lov to watch you. You’re so tenanted you inspire me 100% of the time I watch you 🎉
last night I watched “The Electrical life of Louis Wain” I felt the movie was still going as I watched this channel. This girl is adorable, I only wish I had her energy 😁
Love the many suggestions you give! The organization hacks are awesome!!
Great video thanks! Definitely got some new ideas 🥰
I like these ideas especially the ones for the napkin and paper towel holders. I will be watching more videos. U also gave me a great idea about the tap lights i need those in my make shift closet. Thanks.
Excellent ideas for keeping everything at home neat and tidy and well organized without spending much $ at all! Thank you so much for sharing! I’m getting myself ready to head out to one of my local dollar stores to pick up a few items to help me store my macaroni products in a neater, more categorized way! I’m pouring them all into zip lock bags and placing the bags into clear plastic shoe boxes. No more large cardboard boxes using up my pantry cabinet spaces! Thanks again! ❤ 👍
That's so Amazing
Fab ideas! Added to my organise playlist to rewatch and get remotivated ❤
Wow! You covered so many creative and useful ideas! Great job!
I love watching your videos bc they inspire me-many ending up at others houses. I just realized I can make your rope basket for a great gift for my parents lake house and/or boat. Such a small space can always use more storage options that are cute!!
love these - I use plastic baskets all the time but didn't think about the long thin ones for kitchen items - this may save my island cabinet and a shelf set by the window
Loved all these ideas and your amazing energy. Thank you Kelly
Amazing video & ideas.
Thanks for all the hacks. I'm going to try some of these.
So many wonderful ideas! Thank you. I'm going to have to watch it again and take notes. Some of the suggestions were reminders ( I put aside my urge to point them out to you in my kitchen because you told me and I did it) and some were new. Thank you.
Just awesome, practical and affordable (cheap} ideas. Already started my $ tree list. Thank you.
Dish pan storage is my favorite hack! Ive used one in my bathroom for years for tampons/pads. I can keep a few of each color in the cabinet, and take the whole bin to the hallway when i need to refill. Absolute game changer!
This is one of the best of these types of videos I've seen! Thank you. I like to tinker in my she shed. I'll be using many of your ideas for keeping my shop organized. Good job, lady!
