Oh, team ups with villains happen all the time (although they usually don’t end well). It depends on the villain really and on the existence of greater evil.
This is how a sequel to a game is done, improves everything from the first and adds so many new elements that it feels very different to the last game in almost everyway. Unlike most modern triple A games that just copy and paste and add a few different elements but essentially is the same game, 'cough' Spider-man 2 ' cough.....
Yes!! Couldn't agree with this more, it's both unique and has it's own identity, already, but absolutely fits as a sequel and progression on from Asylum.
I cant wait for your riddler trophy video, as there's a lot of great voice tapes in this one! Btw i hope that after Batman arkham games you play injustice as it includes some of the characters from these games too!
This episode wasn't a waste of time, technically. It got you a little more used to the map and the combat. But yeah, spending over an hour trying to fully complete a side mission that you can't actually do until later really wasn't too great 😅
Hey Nat, I don't think you're tagging those Riddler trophies that you tried to tag. You have to wait a moment till it completes the tagging process. I noticed this because when you opened the map after supposedly tagging a trophy it didn't appear on the map
Batman has teamed up with villains before, like Deathstroke, Azrael, and Scarecrow. Even Joker at times, but usually it is when they have a similar goal and or the whole world is in danger.
Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn are a famous trio, the Gotham Sirens. Batman and Bane are an odd combo. Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Joker, Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze are probably most likely to team up with Batman if their goal of the day aligns with Batman. In Joker's case if another villain becomes a serious threat to Batman, Joker will quite often come to Batman's aid.
@@PhoenixNat Na the Supervillains collectively don't like each other and some will align with Batman just to get one over on each other. I mean in this game Penguin has kidnapped Mr. Freeze for the sole purpose of stopping him from being able to cure Joker. I think the funniest thing about all this is that the villains really do have lives outside of Batman.
9:38 I'm glad you took the time to figure out the button combinations for the gadget quick fires. They can be very helpful in combat, stealth and perhaps even some Riddler trophy collections. You might want to write them down as a reference/cheat sheet. It helped me, especially when I wanted to get a little creative in combat.
One of the things I liked most about this game were the introductions to Penguin and Mr. Freeze. Penguin ironically hates Bruce Wayne more than Batman given the history between both their families and unlike Joker who just wants random destruction Penguin’s agenda is making money through acts like arms dealing. And Freeze isn’t evil it’s just his desperation to save his wife drove him to being who he is.
My favorite thing about Batman's rogues gallery is how layered they all are. Bane's a bit of an odd one to team with Batman, I don't think it's happened more than a time or two, there are other villains who've teamed with him/come to his aid more often (including Joker!). Most of them have basically had "one bad day" that drove them down the path of villainy. Some of them often have beef with each other (I think this game shows that well, with Joker, Two-Face, and Penguin having their own zones and thugs who work for them within Arkham City) too, so sometimes working with Batman (or another villain, like yes, Catwoman and Ivy are a team a lot with Harley, for instance) works out to their advantage depending on their own agendas. It's often not quite so simple as "good vs evil" in the Batman lore, lol. But that's why I love it! Definitely recommend working on the side missions as they pop up on the radar since they often thread into the story, adding more to it or setting up for things down the road (and this story is shorter than Asylum's). And yeah, this map definitely is as big as it feels at this point!! It gets easier to navigate and doesn't feel as overwhelming the further you get into it :)
Blimps are still a thing. They were used a lot in the early 1900's but are mostly used for advertising now as they are too expensive to maintain. Plus after the Hindenburg went down they were deemed unsafe. One last thing, you only get to experience these games for the first time once so enjoy getting distracted and figuring stuff out. :)
To answer your question about whether or not Bane and Batman or Catwoman and Poison Ivy have ever teamed up, Batman and Bane have only ever teamed up once to my knowledge, and it was during the "Tabula Rasa" storyline in the comics. However, it was very brief. Bane typically never teams up with Batman and is actually a lot smarter than a lot of people think. He's not just physically strong but also mentally strong like Batman. I own the comic that he debuts in, "Knightfall", and it's awesome! Bane's a very interesting villain. Now as for Poison Ivy and Catwoman, they were actually apart of a super hero team for a while called "Birds of Prey". Birds of Prey is essentially an all female crime-fighting team.
Hi Nat great episode, the map in this is quite big which makes it fun to explore but with some villains their intensions are good but make bad choices, but i do like the detailing in this game like the rain on Batman's suit and even shows the damage on the suit when taking damage too, I do find the fights in this more fluid than Asylum. hope you have a nice day.
I kind of wish you could taunt the henchmen in this game. Like the ones with the baseball bats. If one hits Batman with it, Batman could say, "Harley swings harder than you. She was actually able to knock me out with one of those."
I LOVE IT - it has so many layers and the constant pull of chaos on the main story with the side stuff popping up makes me feel completely immersed in the game. It's not neat and tidy, because neither is Gotham.

The part of the city where Arkham City is located is also rich in detail and a mix of architectural styles, which adds to the richness of the exploration. This is a game made by fans for fans. And if you're not already a Batman fan, you're likely to become one by playing this game. 😀

Some Batman villains moonlight as anti-heroes depending on circumstances. Some rogues are tragic, doing the wrong thing for the right reason.
This is what I was trying to process, some are villains by circumstance, but obvs some are just flat out bad 😂
Not really a spoiler but you will unlock more gadgets during the main mission which you can use to get into previous areas that are blocked
