I feel you. Im just perplexed cause i couldn't get an answer to remain as being. I just got suck into the good, the bad and ugly side of life on daily basis. The good part is fine, the negative part always felt like a new low from emotional perspective. Living lives in nothingness and at the same time realising it all there is, is beautiful. The challenges are always out there behind the screen. It a battle to get to balance point for me to date. Happy New Year, live long, healthy, happy and prosperous.
@zainmd8964 the perplexing paradox of our existence. Maybe we will be able to integrate these two truths harmoniously at some point. Happy new year to you and hope you have a fulfilling, love filled year ❤️
Why can't we sit with ourselves with no stimulation or dopamine? My guess is it's just a behavior ingrained in us because throughout a lot of human history, if you weren't doing something, then your odds of dying were increased. That's only my guess though. When I try to just sit and not do anything, I either zone out and begin daydreaming, or I start to fall asleep. But the kicker is the things I do are just vices. A distraction. I don't know what I really enjoy. Maybe thats because my vices contain too much dopamine. Thanks for bringing this up. Its always nice to think of the state of life itself.
@austin9809 when we have vices it can take the place of hobbies. But we can also replace our vices with hobbies. But even in the hobbies, I cant tell if I become more immersed in myself or just a different kind of distracted, maybe it's the same thing.
I saw a video "Robert Sapolsky: We don’t have free will " he had finished his video with" it is determined". Life is this or that it is about choices no meaning ,no point there is no better or ultimate best answer or choice .
@emreakgül-p5t I hadn't heard of him before, will watch some of his videos. I watched a snip with Andrew Huberman first and that perspective seems logical, that everything has influenced our decisions so we are essentially a byproduct of nature and nature, we believe we have free will but its already determined by our predisposition and past choices.
This ties in with your very next video about your dad...and it is true that the inner dialogue I had as a kid was based on feelings of not being good enough to met arbitrary standards set by my parents, mostly my dad....and also just not giving AF about their standards...lol
Hello and Congratulations for your videos! I think that you are talking about complex developmental trauma without being named it... I very much like your calmness and the subjects you talked about.
I love you. Perhaps this problem could be a result of our past, our traumatic past. Even small traumas can lead us to feel this endless feeling of wanting more. I know that idea could be a little extreme, but perhaps almost all humanity is dealing with a giant PTSD which is transmitted to sons and daughters by the so called "education". I don't know, I just suppose... I think that what makes us feel so, is the giant illusion of the ego, which we build while we grow... and that ego always wants some more... "i want some more" he always says... 😄 I'm sure there's a way out of this, sure because of my experience... even if I got caught in the trap again, I won't believe that lie again. There's a path that can lead us to freedom, peace and joy... a path that can make us feel happy even sitting down on the floor like a cat thinking about nothing and watching the walls... or perhaps, as I often do, thinking to how much beatiful our universe is... Thank you ❤Your mind is so beatiful
@andreinechita9211 I think you are right, and generationally we're holding so much and passing it on unknowingly. Anything we can do to just be at peace, feel love, be love is the ticket to our species salvation. I like the moments I'm just laying on the floor with my dog 🐶 doing nothing - animals just get it. ❤️ thank you for you lovely comment and wishing you the best year ahead.
Not sure about you, but people trigger my need for dopamine. Maybe that's an indicator of codependence. I'm really only lonely when I'm with people. I suspect part of the reason we can't sit with ourselves is that we're kind of damned if we do and damned if we don't, depending on our outlook. If we buy in to hustle culture then sitting is just a waste of precious time, and if we acknowledge that nothing exists then it's possible we aren't truly grateful for the nothing. Mind is outside of time, so if our consciousness is on-going and ever existing, then we probably come from a place where we do just exist in peace, and that's where we're going back to as well. There will be plenty of "time" for peaceful existence later. This life is the opportunity for action, and I think the daily requirements, automated or not, are the dead giveaway. Totally agree, life is meant to be lived. Learning and following your joy is the way.
@jaybee8951 "This life is an opportunity for action"! ❤ Something very powerful in those words. You're right, there is plenty of time for peaceful existence later. Reminds me of the quote, "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow! What a Ride!"

@IlluminateYourPower it may be the same thing. May boil down to doing whatever makes you the happiest, as long as it's not harming you or others.

@andreasretsinas2142 thank you! I think you make a solid point, just figuring out to integrate that into more ideal processing/functioning.
