    Although this didn't work for me, the unintended thing I learned was putting my PC flat on the floor on its side instead of standing it up vertically fixed my problem. I have no clue why this works for me, but I'm sharing it to you guys if you're still having issues. I hate that it takes more space, but it's better than buying a new mobo or power supply.

      For me it was at the lowest point in the motherboard underneath a cable named power SW, I suggest you pull out the power to the pc first then try disconnect it an re-connect it, but if the pc was bought off eBay I’m sorry to say but it’s probably 10 years old in a brand new case

    I had the exact same problem and fix as you, and I think I might know what caused the issue for me. See, before this issue occurred I cleaned the top of my PC and the cases’s front IO and buttons with a damp cloth. I suspect some of the moisture must have upset the reset button. Maybe the reset button is more susceptible to an electrical short caused by moisture because it’s so much smaller than the power button.

    Mine still does this even without using any power/reset wires. So far I bought new ram that was on the QVL, inspected and reseated cpu, all pins looked fine. Gpu/Psu is brand new(whole build is). Remove/reset cmos battery, reflashed BIOS. Reseat all wires. And still the same problem upon powering on. Also I noticed that on my first ever boot, my keyboard/mouse DID light up, but then shortly turned off. So I think I’ve narrowed it down to a DOA mobo.

And if this doesn’t work then next I’ll do the CPU. Highly doubt it’s the cpu tho all pins are fine and it’s brand new. Mobos usually have a higher chance of being DOA than a cpu. For me it makes sense tho cuz the first time I had attempted boot my mouse and keyboard got a signal for a moment then went dead. Also got QVL verified RAM so it’s not that either. Played with BIOS battery, CMOS jumpers and even your solution of removing the Reset/Power/LED wires: the issue remained the same. Black screen, VGA light on. Going to buy the new motherboard, but this time from Asus, not MSI. Many people are having this issue and still can't find the solution.

      @KRISHNA-PATHAK I have replaced my MSI Bazooka v2 b450 motherboard with new Asus motherboard and it worked. The same hardware but with new motherboard works fine. So the issue is in the motherboard.

    • @BakerDoge
      @BakerDoge Рік тому

      @KRISHNA-PATHAK My board is not dead, for sure. It is starting but doesn't pass the POST check (EZ Debug). There is something wrong in the power supply circuit for the SATA/VGA line, but I am not electrician nor sertified specialist at all. I just googled how I can check the motherboard with multi-tester and suspecting that are some of the capacitors are not working properly. If you have any MSI service in your area you should ask them to do the diagnostics before buying the new board.
      You should definetly take out all your PC components outside the case and put it together on the table. See if something is wrong and need to be fixed. After that google if you can check the electrical ciruits of your board with tester and see for yourself if there is an issue.

      Thanks for stopping by mate! As I always suggest to everyone, try assembling your pc outside the case with just skeletal parts (mobo, CPU, RAM) and try to boot it and each time keeping adding other parts one by one to see which part is causing the problem. That's how I found my problem. In my case it was working fine outside of the case but as soon I put my parts inside the case and tried to boot, the problem occurred. It was a dead give away that something from the case was causing the problem and found out that tiny reset SW cable from the case was the issue.

      @@spacecowboigaming After a full day of research and pulling my PC apart several times. Yes piece by piece then back again. It was both the rest switch, I don't have a button attached so I jumped the pins, when that didn't work several times I then flicked the CMOS / battery button out. By this time I had given up all hope. I powered on, stood up about to walk out and glanced at my monitor. It had POSTED! You're frickin kidding me? I needed to set the bios again but then booted to my windows os. So freaking happy. It's the smallest dumbest things you miss that makes all the difference. This whole upgrade build has been fighting me the whole way and cost me a new mobo. Lessons learned. Oh, it wouldn't show my monitor, keyboard nor mouse until I cleared it's memory. hello bro, I read several of the comments where you said to assemble the PC outside the case and it worked! but when i tried to reconnect the pc inside the case without the reset cable as you mentioned, the problem was still there, any ideas?

    • @spacecowboigaming
      @spacecowboigaming  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for stopping by! So yes you are halfway there already that you know now your pc works outside of the case so you can easily rule out any fault with mobo, cpu, ram, gpu and psu. Now you just need to check what is causing the problem inside the case. In my case, reset wire was the culprit. Others things could be maybe your case is shorting, that part of mobo maybe touching the case or not mounted properly, or any other wire that comes form the case is shorting the problem. Maybe try to first just connect the cables only after assembling inside the case and then one by one connecting more required cables.

This is how I was able to determine that there was nothing wrong with my parts. Now coming back to your comment. Hello space! Can y out help me locate the reset cable? I bought this PC from someone for my kids. It was working perfect for a long time until the power went out then this problem happened where the screen don’t have signal and the keyboard or mouse won’t work. Any help I would appreciate it!!!

      I am giving you a link to a photo where you can see those tiny cables. They are connected on the corner of the motherboard. The reset SW cable was the one that was shorting in my case.

      Solution: basically, take out the cable of the reset button from your motherboard. The case's reset button is likely faulty, and who needs it anyway? Just locate the correct cable on the motherboard and pull it out. See 2:45 for a shot of the front IO connectors, he is holding the cable labled RESET. That's the one to remove. There should also be a tiny legend printed nearby on the motherboard which will show you which of the two pins are for the reset switch. Yeah, just disconnect the RESET cable, see if the computer boots.
