I think you missed the most likely issue that you would check first. Most new monitors have more than one connecter type for the computer display like HDMI or Display Port. If your new build uses a different display port than your last build then you need to use buttons on monitor to change the port that is displayed on the screen. If you used HDMI, for example, on your last build and then changed to Display Port, you would need to cycle the button for changing monitor display to that port.
Hey ! Thanks for the comment ! I totally agree, monitor displays are a common culprit in no signal errors but I focused on PC relevant fixes ! I’m revisiting this video after a few comments so I’ll make sure to add this in the reshoot !!!

FIXED MINE BY REMOVING CM0S BATTERY FOR 5-6 MIN, REMOVING STATIC WHILE GPU IS INSERTED BY PRESSING DOWN THE POWER BUTTON FOR 30 SEC AND A LOT OF PRAYERS!! THANK GOD Edit: For a full explanation, I disconnected everything first. By that, I mean the keyboard, mouse, display port, usb cables, supply to the system, and etc. Next, I removed the CM0S Battery for 5-6 minutes to drain the static electricity that was probably messing with my newly installed GPU at that time. Then, I placed the battery again and connected every cable. After all that, I turned on my pc and it finally displayed. Also, it helps if you have some knowledge about BIOS in setting up main display, since in some cases, the display will get rerouted to your alternative display (your display port is connected to your GPU but the BIOS is configured to your iGPU or vice versa, resulting to a no reception). If this doesn't work, well maybe because your RAM wasn't plugged all the way through or you have a defective RAM stick. Happened recently to mine as well.

None of this fixed my issue, but after a lot of time i may just have finally fixed it. The issue seems to have been the power supply air filter at the bottom of my case being clogged up with dust and somehow that may have been causing my power supply, that is at the bottom of my case and FAN FACE DOWN and had been intaking air through that dirty filter, to malfunction and cause the signal loss on the monitor. I just rolled over the power supply to fan face up to intake air from inside the case and havent had issues since. ALSO i remove the CMOS shorter from the cmos pins on the motherboard (The cmos shorter is a tiny tiny tool that is used on the cmos pins on the motherboard. Look online for more info)
Thank you! it was Cmos for me... note some computers you shut off the power supply.. then hold the power button down for 10 sec. to drain all the power out of the system..

Hi i have a question where i'm searching for 2 weeks to a solution... so my old video card (2070 super 8gb) is broken. and wont work anymore. so i bought a new video card the rtx 3070 ti but it won't work (i think because of the drivers) I need to install the drivers but i can't use the pc (monitor keyboard mouse won't light up, the gpu card fans spin) My pc doesnt have a build in gpu... so my question is: how do i get drivers on my pc without being able to use it. ps. i already removed the battery and drained it from power. didint work aswell and checked out all my rams.
Hello so I’ve built my very first pc and everything is on fans are on. RGB t-force ram is on and yeah. I plug the dp into the monitor and nothing. I’ve searched and searched and haven’t found anything Could it be the cpu? I also do not have a Gpu yet
I installed a stick of ram..about a year ago..making it 16 gb. Ran good after I changed setting. Now, it won't come on. No beeping.. powers on, can hear the fans run and all. I take out one stick..it comes on and cycles a few times..then turns off again. I put the second stick back in.. it came up with the bios where I can change settings...then it shut off again.. now back to the same issue. It's a pre built. This all started during an update install last night. Any help, will be appreciated

Have you tried wiggling any HDMI inputs , the Monitor side and the pc side ? I would run some tests on the PSU to see if it’s consistently giving out enough power . Also would test some of the parts in the video to see if they may be the culprit !
If it still not showing anything try pressing (windows icon+ctrl+shift+b) while the pc is still running Then turn it off by pressing the button Turn it on It's gonna ask you for boot by pressing f1 (don't boot anything) press shift+alt+delete It helped me when nothing else did (I seriously tried everything) gl

I installed diffirent gpu for a test… then I installed back my own gpu and the fans are not spinning as well there is no display… power led light on gpu is on but doesn’t work… What should I do?
Hi all, I hope you guys can help me. So, on my old PC gaming computer I was having no display monitor signal at times, maybe roughly 2x a month or so, at first I thought it was just because I had an old pc (4-6 years old & old pc monitor), I would restart it multiple times and the monitor would finally turn on after restarting or shutting down the computer, but now, I recently bought a brand new PC and brand new monitor and I'm having the same issue so I'm starting to think it has to do something externally. Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks! Happy Holidays! I've checked the wires on the monitor and behind the computer, and everything looks solid.
Can you try a different video cable? Sometimes they can go bad which can cause these types of problems. Its hard to say exactly what's wrong. It can be the monitor, the monitor's video port, or the cable.
What if the integrated graphics card displays to the monitor just fine but the GPU gives no signal at all? I've changed the primary display in the BIOS but the setting doesnt save and I still can't display to the monitor from the new video card.
When I game latley my display sometimes goes out and my gpu fans dont spin. Yet everything in my computer case is powered on even the rgb lights of the graphics card. Once i do a forced restart the display stays black and the gpu wont start. Could this be that my gpu is finally on its final legs?
I build my first pc toady and I haven't bought a gpu until now and I am searching for one but the problem I have is that my pc is not getting a signal is it because I have no gpu and when I bought a gpu and put it will it solve the problem??
After resetting the factory heatsink of the cpu, as soon as I press the power on on my pc, the screen opens a little, it shows that it opens and as soon as the pc goes to do something else (like entering the bios or windows) then the screen closes and does not open and the rest of the computer works normally, I put it on 3 different screens and with many different cables (hdmi, vga, display port) and again nothing. I made the pc at Christmas. can you help me quickly

Omg bro you just saved my career off a 75 grand studio and funny part was all I had to do was reset my pc good to go 😂 worth a sub my man!
your video helped me get my pc going, THANK YOU!!
Thank you! it was Cmos for me... note some computers you shut off the power supply.. then hold the power button down for 10 sec. to drain all the power out of the system..
re seated the c mos bat and it worked ! did not add or replace parts for this 2 happen . does this mean the MOBO is about to fail ?
Yo thanks man your a life saver I had to reinstall my ram and I got my input back thx so much I was worried
What if software?
Custom wind 10 pc connects to a samsung 4k tv not a monitor. Tv has no pc port - hence an HDMI ADAPTER.
Works sometimes but often says "no signal". I keep on all night and apparently relates to the problem.
Guys watch this whole video this video actually worked for me
Can you help me to fix my problem the problem is after i install new gpu that require 2 six pin my pc is turning on but the screen is blank i can see my gpu is spining. But when i plugin the vga cable to mobo the blank screen gone.I really wamt to conect the hdmi cable to gpu but its blank. Is it bcus im using old gpu with vga cable before?
I'm curious on knowing if d-sub port would seem to be the problem, I have an HDMI cord that I tried using because that is what was required and got the no signal. I've had this problem for weeks now and I'm just finding out after watching your vid that my mother board has a D-sub port and not a an HDMI port. Could that be the reason?
Thanks bro!! Removing the battery thing then putting it back worked
I have everything plugged in and my pc is on I tried removing and putting back my graphics card and my ram but I still get a no signal on my monitor
Buy new hdmi🤣 or check the hdmi compatible to tv or pc display
did you find a fix
Thank you bro, you save me, my problem is the ram thanks again
What if I can turn on my computer with no issue but as soon as I open a game like for instants warthunder, it loads fine for like a minute and then screen goes black and then while my screen is turned off my pc is still running and if I then click on a Butten that has like 2 squares with a slash in between them, and if I then wait for it to check my dvi and analog signal it just says check signal cable, even if I take out and plug in the signal cable?
This sounds like a driver issue . Are you able to play other games with this ?
@@Bryanonanisland no it was the power sorce we fixed it a year ago
BRO THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was literally trying everything man to no avail, reset the cmoss and BAM!
bro the thing is my pc boots with the onboard graphics and when i plug my hdmi into the gpu it loads up windows but there is no display....when im playing games it would go black but i can still hear the game in the background playing but the display is off.. some people said it could be the PSU not giving enough power to my gpu so i dont know and i need my system for my work
What if I have some issue like this, when I turn on my PC it would got black screen like this but after several minutes it would finally boot up. Now while PC is on for a few hours, there would be unexpected "no signal" and no sound (I'm not sure if this no sound, or it's completely stopped any works on PC). But when I look at my PC everything is still on, CPU fan, LED's, Cooling Fan. Idk how to fix this issue, In have cleaned my RAM, reset CMOS, resetting my windows, Upgrade my BIOS, nothing happened. Can faulty RAM be the source of this issue? The issue is most of the time appear unexpectedly when I'm clickin on something
Bro u the GOAT. Can’t believe I hastily installed the ram backwards after adding an nvme. I was legit freaking out thought I broke my gou 😭😤😩🙏🙏
Backwards?? Isn’t it built to go in one way
it was just working dis morning I just open my glass for my pc start to touch thing then the first thing pop up was American mega trends now black screen help me
Why would i watch a tech video from someone who can't even change their smoke alarm
Words cannot describe how amazing you are sir! Subscribed
I’ve had the same PC for a while now and my issue started when I tried to update the graphics card and my PC froze. And now device manager is telling me that my GPU is all good to go. However, when I actually plug the display adapters into my GPU, all I get is a black screen.
Thank you, the round battery replacement fixed it for me.
U remember RENOL from Provo but what happened after a bio change
Hey hopefully you respond
But my pc has been having an issue with the screen not displaying or turning on when i restart from the windows home screen
I have to press the reset button on my pc when it does that
What could it be? I did remove bios battery and updated everything

You helped me so much! I was trying to move RAM around and that was the problem. Thank U! :D
Hi i have a question where i'm searching for 2 weeks to a solution...
so my old video card (2070 super 8gb) is broken. and wont work anymore.
so i bought a new video card the rtx 3070 ti but it won't work (i think because of the drivers)
I need to install the drivers but i can't use the pc (monitor keyboard mouse won't light up, the gpu card fans spin)
My pc doesnt have a build in gpu... so my question is: how do i get drivers on my pc without being able to use it.
ps. i already removed the battery and drained it from power. didint work aswell and checked out all my rams.
Thank you so much bro. You helped me fix my PC. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hello so I’ve built my very first pc and everything is on fans are on. RGB t-force ram is on and yeah. I plug the dp into the monitor and nothing. I’ve searched and searched and haven’t found anything
Could it be the cpu?
I also do not have a Gpu yet
Same problem, I replaced my mobo but still same problem
Same
The cpu was the problem, dang it!
@@ushigoroshi1992 What did you do?
@@samuelmyth8392 Turned out to be a defective cpu
CMOS reset saved the day! Thanks man
I don’t have a graphics card, could that be the reason of getting no display?
If your processor doesn't have integrated graphics, then it may be
Taking out the "watch battery" worked for my redux cpu. Thx!
How do you take it out without damaging anything ??

I installed a stick of ram..about a year ago..making it 16 gb. Ran good after I changed setting. Now, it won't come on. No beeping.. powers on, can hear the fans run and all. I take out one stick..it comes on and cycles a few times..then turns off again. I put the second stick back in.. it came up with the bios where I can change settings...then it shut off again.. now back to the same issue. It's a pre built. This all started during an update install last night. Any help, will be appreciated
I tried everything except one thing. The cord was bad. There was that light green colored dry mold that grows on outdoor park drinking fountains around the metal inside my HDMI cable on the little gold prongs... Change the cable and it worked. Sheesh...
HI. Something strange is happening to my PC. It often happens that when I turn it on I don't have a video signal and the VGA LED lights up. But it doesn't always happen. What could it be. The PC is only 1 year old😮💨
May be something loose ? a strange one but sounds like it happens every so often.
Removing CMOS battery method works for me but on a fresh start after shutdown the problem will raise again . No display but CPU and GPU fan is spinning. So need to remove and place CMOS battery on every start. Any solution for this ?
Hey man where did you study or learn how to build them
A lot of people who build and fix PCs are self-taught. You don't usually go to school to learn how to build PCs or how to fix them.
I have a question my pc works fine one time and the next time I try turning it on the monitor says no signal but the pc is still making noise plz I’ve been having this problem for a very long time it works sometimes then doesn’t the next still makes the sounds but the monitor says no signal thanks!!!
Have you tried wiggling any HDMI inputs , the Monitor side and the pc side ? I would run some tests on the PSU to see if it’s consistently giving out enough power . Also would test some of the parts in the video to see if they may be the culprit !
@@Bryanonanisland yess!!! My cat walked behind the pc and the screen turned on could it be the hdmi input having a defect?
If it still not showing anything try pressing (windows icon+ctrl+shift+b) while the pc is still running
Then turn it off by pressing the button
Turn it on
It's gonna ask you for boot by pressing f1 (don't boot anything) press shift+alt+delete
It helped me when nothing else did (I seriously tried everything) gl
holy i love you so much ive been trying to fix it for weeks
What did you do
This young man has given some good advice.
My fans and everything spin but I get no display when I take the gpu out I get display
I changed the power supply, cpu, ram, motherboard, tried the Cmos battery thing, dont have a graphics & changed my SSD M2 & The issue is still there. I dont know what to do at this point
Are both the monitor and pc plugged directly into the wall? This was was my issue both were in a surge protector
I think it's worth noting that having an old BIOs with a new CPU can cause this sorta problem to occur
It can be the monitor, the monitor's video port, or the cable.
does it need to have 2 RAMS to make the PC works?
What if the integrated graphics card displays to the monitor just fine but the GPU gives no signal at all? I've changed the primary display in the BIOS but the setting doesnt save and I still can't display to the monitor from the new video card.
But if a different problem . Haven’t come across this before . Have you had any luck ?
When resetting the cmos do I keep the pc psu plugged in and leave it on? Or should I turn pc off the. Reset it
When I game latley my display sometimes goes out and my gpu fans dont spin. Yet everything in my computer case is powered on even the rgb lights of the graphics card. Once i do a forced restart the display stays black and the gpu wont start. Could this be that my gpu is finally on its final legs?
That was helpful , the culprit was the amount of thermal paste on the cpu! Thanks!
Did you have to little and was your pc turning on with no display or did it not even turn on at all
I build my first pc toady and I haven't bought a gpu until now and I am searching for one but the problem I have is that my pc is not getting a signal is it because I have no gpu and when I bought a gpu and put it will it solve the problem??
After resetting the factory heatsink of the cpu, as soon as I press the power on on my pc, the screen opens a little, it shows that it opens and as soon as the pc goes to do something else (like entering the bios or windows) then the screen closes and does not open and the rest of the computer works normally, I put it on 3 different screens and with many different cables (hdmi, vga, display port) and again nothing. I made the pc at Christmas. can you help me quickly
Had a black screen with the 4090, the cmos worked.. 💪
