Fokin EGR valve, you know what ppl do over here, they just shut it off this stupid piece of technology, cause figure out, exhaust gases just being put into cylinders again and again, and bringing in all the dirt and soot from exhaust back, gosh. Shut it off otherwise engine will die in 70-100k. Now think about this to be equipped with turbocharger, which is going to be clogged too. Would be better to sit one greenie upon each one built in. Electric fans , cylinder deactivation, and the 10speed transmission. You have hybrid tech to add as well! Mahle has 3D printed piston for 700hp Porsche and cam less engine tech by Kohensege the simplicity, reliability and economy would go up tremendously! Just my 2cents turbo v6 sounds like nightmare in repair bills or working on it.

If they are well designed, yes. It's not like NA V8 would be any pinnacle of long lasting either, so many compromises done already in most of those. Looking at history of truly long lasting motors, for example Mercedes W123 diesel models. All of them go beyond 1 000 000+ km regularly with normal service. That's is a long lasting motor, and they are only 2-3 l 4-6 banger motors.

Actually mathematically speaking, less cylinders is better, because it has less complexity and less surfaces scrubbing against each other. But of course the reality is more complex than that, it depends of things like average engine speed, how good the lubrication is, what kind of materials the engine is built of and cylinder surfaces are made of, etc. cooling and heat management, how the engine is used.
