The concrete buildings weather the storm but some of the roofs are not hurricane rated. It costs more money and material to build a better roof but it's worth it.
Hope no life is lost. Music fitting the scenery and the occasion..

My heart aches for my family members in Great Bay, Treasure Beach, so many of them loss roofs😢😢😢😢😢😢sad
But you have lives, you are going to rebuild and God will sustain you.

Wow! The south coast took a pounding.
It's not that bad. Those trees were old and should have been uorroted and new ones planted . The roofs were not up to code. People cut corners to save money now they going to pay 3 times to fix it.
@@eileenwatt8283it did! You need to gain more exposure to the reality on the ground. Moreover, the strongest of trees will be uprooted in a Category 4 storm. These aren’t coconut/palm trees.

Roofs were blown off - It's because they were not up to code.
Structures got damaged - it's because people cut corners.
OK, I get it. Everything else is the cause except the category 4 hurricane that hammered the south coast. Keep believing your myth. Gilbert in 1988 was a category 3 hurricane and did catastrophic damage, yet you will tell me that all the destruction evident to the naked eyes were not because of a cat 4 storm but by people's own doing. Ok, I get it.
I'd like to see other areas such as Newell, Barbury Hall, Mountainside, Vineyard, Poratee, And Black River

Sad, to see that the beachfront is very badly damaged. Looks like Eggy's Bar and Frenchman's Bay, the fishermen's boats, that area all took a beating. Also, glad to see, a good friend's place, looking like it was built by a special builder, who I need to meet. Everything around him is mashed up and his place did not lose a zinc from what I can see in the video. He is blessed! Wishing a speedy recovery to all who suffered damages.

The Electricity and cellular service is down in most of those areas. Newell wasn't too badly affected but there were some danage in mountain side, not sure about the other places you mentioned

I am telling who say prayer don’t work I prayed when I heard about Jamaica.🇯🇲 I contacted my relatives I kept praying still will .Some have lost there homes but god gave grace still recover will continue just know god amazing.

Someone drove the roads in TB while taking video, however, they couldn’t get down Great Bay Rd as there was a concrete tele pole across the road which folks have been unable to move.
