Hi Shane, just watched your vid, you are not aloan, I have most of what you suffer from, but at 60yrs, I can just remember my home telephone number, from when I was 10ish, only just, it got drill into me :), best of luck Keith
Hi Shane, I don't know if you remember but a couple of weeks ago, I told you my wife was studying to take the test for citizenship. Well bright and early this morning she took the test, and just like you said, she will Ace the test. Well she did and is on cloud nine. Just getting into the place was an ordeal, having to go through a complete security check going through Xray and everything. Next comes the swearing in and life continues. I am so proud of her with all the work she put in, staying up until two or three in the morning studying. Well all that paid off and life goes on. Sure glad I didn't have to take that test :-) .....Take care...Ken
What a sacrifice Shane-the goatee looked just great so hope it will be back to full length very soon. How about just a moustache while you are waiting to grow the goat-are they permitted re the testing?
Thanks Medomsley! The test is Tuesday so I'll just have to shave one more time and then I can start growing it out again. It takes about a year to grow out to the length I like, then I'll have to shave it off again .... lol.
OMG I would not recognize you if I saw you in public with the new you. You do look a lot younger without that beard. I got used to watching you with the beard and it just wont be the same. That beard was just you my friend, but hey . When I retired from the Army in 1975 I decided to grow a beard. I thought it looked pretty snazzy. I had applied and got a job but when I went into office to report in, the person took one look at me in disbelief and disgust said, oh that job has been filled. When I tried to protest and said I was told on the phone I had the job. It was my first job once out of the army. It was only a job as a smog tech and mechanic but no luck. I noticed the job remained unfilled for a couple of months. I shaved off the beard that day. Oh well, the good old days, don't miss em one bit. This retired life sure is tough :-) ....Ken
Yeah people judge ya based on your looks that's for sure. When I was young and dumb I was a long haired hippy doing HVAC. In and out of customers homes all day and they always looked worried when I first knocked on their door, until I started talking with them and they realized I was a nice guy. I cut off over two feet of hair when my son was born and my boss gave me a 2 dollar an hour raise for doing so.
You did ask my opinion so here is my wife's opinion. She says with the beard you look older than I do. And the way she said that it didn't sound like a compliment. Without the beard she says you are more handsome and a lot younger. As for me I don't care what you do with your face! Just keep the vids coming :)
LOL ... Thanks Jim and tell your wife thanks too. I just talked to the guy with the next project and it's going to have to wait til next weekend. I'm bummed but that will give me time to clean up the shop and make some room.
If the Coleman lantern I have coming in flares up I wont be needing no razor to shave my beard! I might not even have a face to grow a beard on! Older, younger - who cares. It did make you look a bit "alternative"...
Miss seeing New Videos !!
Hope All Is Well with you and Family !

Ken that is fantastic, her hard work paid off. Tell her I said congratulations! I think its great and well deserved. I'm sure that test wasn't easy!
You look like a new man buddy. Looks good both ways.
Jim

my girl hates it when i dont shave
what are the round things below the shelf in the backround with things in them, sections of pipe
They are concrete cylinder molds for compressive strength testing. They make handy storage compartments.
You look younger

Such is fate Shane! But such a great look-post "the growing" for us from time to time please.
Younger, definitely younger and better looking! Stick to shaving.
lol ... but I hate shaving.
