- On a Roll !!! Literally... This felt great the power to weight ratio seems to be on point. Join me for my next video where we get this on the Dyno and get some power numbers. And smooth out that rough idle as well.

Love the smile on startup, that's the look of hard work bearing fruit!
Oh yes!! I have been waiting for that since it was just a thought in my head : ) Thank you!!!
Imagine hearing a car approach you from the rear at a stop light. It pulls up next to you. You look over and it's a MR2.
I cant wait for the looks of disbelief : )
Congratulations! Awesome to see this finally driving
Thank you so much! I can see the finish line at this point : )
Hit a major milestone, well done, thing sounds amazing!👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks! It does sound amazing. It is finally coming along after all these years of work
First time seeing this build. Hopefully this video blows up, this thing is sick
Thank you!! I am hoping so.
Glad to see it up and running, been watching since the beginning 🤟🏻
Thank you! and thanks for sticking with me for this entirely too long of a process

I need that POP POP tune!!

So epic buzzing for you mate bring on some insanity :D !!!
Haha! Yes! thank you! This this is gonna be a show stopper
Great job
Thanks Chris!
Congratulations on your successful first run. You are building the exact car I have been wanting to build for about 2 years now. Though I don't even have an MR2 or anything yet me dream is to buy a Fiero or an MR2 and V8 swap them and possibly all wheel drive which ever I end up with some day. Anyway I will be subscribing to your channel to keep up with your build and to hopefully get me motivated into starting my build.
Awesome!! Great minds think alike it seems. This was my dream long ago as well. Long before I even had the car or engine. The blue prints and engineering all started in my head. Thanks for the sub!!! : )
She sounds good... Look forward to seeing more as she progresses!!
Thanks James! Still a way to go with it before i can consider it "done"
@@scantronsgarage when is a project ever truly "done"?!!
@@james94582 yep... never. But my goal is done enough to drive it and enjoy it while making some more improvements
@@scantronsgarage hope to get my MR-S there... Been a battle for a bit now.. And I haven't even gotten into anything nearly as cool as an engine swap (yet)
@@james94582 You'll get there ! all good things come in time.
Nice project, going to be sweet. I saw where your suspension locked up the wheels and you solved it with a solid heim joint, I think once you put your power down you will snap that heim and lock up your wheels again. I found your video where you showed what originally came in the mr2 and that is subtly different than what you replaced it with in the two key areas: The rear inboard joint was a single axis bushing that you replaced with a triple axis heim, the forward track link axis intersected the axis between the lower ball joint and the rearward bushing to absorb traction load as an axial force instead of bending moment. In summary you need a stronger solution to keep your rear lower link from twisting beyond your solid heim joint.
You are correct. Stronger trailing arms will be next with modifications to the lower control arms to add an additional bolt in the lca to strengthen it from twisting.
Nice
Thank you my fellow Mr2 friend
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
This is a weapon hope you have the a concept for the cosmetics for the machine mate 🥰
I do have a good concept in my head. Now I have to see it through
Have you decided mate on a colour ?,
If it were me a nice Mazda Soul Red would look beautiful with those sharp sexy line
I am going with Imperial blue.
Any updates on progress?
Ugh... I set it to the paint shop a month ago and he hasn't even touched it yet. Hopefully another month I will get it back and have it tuned.
florida
Yep ...Too Hot here
Hey man, im just picking up an MR2 same generation. I wanna do something similar if you can try and help me out so I can learn from you hit me up
Hey! I sure can help you along the way. just let me know what you need help with. You can also message me in facebook
4 min 😂 really
Not bad for no tune
Can't wait to see this finished. I'd love an hours long tour and maybe a Doug demuro or regular car review vid
That would be awesome for me as well. Hopefully I will have those offers when the car is more complete. Thank you!
@@scantronsgarage How far are you planning to do the interior? I see tons of project cars like this with the worst interiors possible
@@Zoey_KL The interior is done but not in the car until paint is done. It has a racecar style interior with a flocked dash and center console only. Two seats and aluminum door cards and aluminum floor boards. I made a video of this a while back
@@scantronsgarage Awww I was hoping that wouldn't be the whole interior.
wow The view through that firewall... I'm not sure if that's a car "with a engine" or "a engine" with a car wrapped around it Very COoL. p.s. even though it's generally outside the norms, I [do] really love a 'small ride' that can go to AB5 🚀with a 'flick of the foot'. Of course it will be a give away when you're @ a🚦 and curious people start looking around trying to find which (damn) car making that bada$$ 🔊sound. Not loud, just bad . That's the kind of thing that gets a guy up in the morning. Slap it high! Cheers!
Haha! yes! This is definitely an engine with a car wrapped around it. No one over 5' 7" would be comfortable in it. I cant wait to get this thing road ready. Cheers and thank you!
