Neil Young originally wrote Alabama on the Harvest album 1972. the band then wrote sweet home Alabama as a protest
Steve Gaines, Leon Wilkeson, Artimus Pyle, Billy Powell and the 3 back up singers (the Honkettes) were NOT born in Florida. And the original Bassist, Larry Junstrom, wasn't either. It would've been quicker for me to type who actually was from FL. Lol
