I like watching how to make rigs I have just started up fishing I have tryed to get trident tackle termalinks I have even called trident and the answer I got was there is no demand for it just yet l have tryed loads of different places and on line and there is nothing so I can't understand why there is no demand. Can you please help me out and advise me where I can get them
Have used sinilar myself a few times, but made with 80lb mono rather than the rod, and the hooklength swivel and srt spring both locked in place with powergum stopknots. Works for me👍
at a push bike wheel, spokes are good on big tides used in Dover on admiralty pier narrowest part of Chanel a mile out to sea they will hold any tide 8 oz long wire 18 lb line
Pete Watson. Ive just packaged up your Bait Loaders mate and a couple of Tackle Time tackle box decals. They will be sent first class post tomorrow....Tight lines mate
Hello my friend. I have an issue with the reel seat on my agility 2 multiplier surf rod from Shakespeare. For some reason I can't get the reel seat to grip onto the rod. When I place my reel on the rod, the reel and reel seat spins around the blank. Can you give me advice on what to do or recommend reel seats to purchase?
Yes mate its simply held in place by how tight it sits on the 1.6mm S/S..However, if you ever find that a bead is a little slack you could always place a tiny drop of super glue to keep it in place....Tight Lines mate
Great video again fella, only came across your site a few weeks back and have just finished making a few rotten bottom rigs. Can I ask, do you use 2.4 mm S/S for the longer bait holders or 3 mm?
Thanks for watching Peter im glad the videos help...I only use 2.4mm for the bait loaders I have got some 3mm but for me and even using it for a Bait Loader it's just too thick and heavy for me mate. The 2.4 will do the job no problem at all...
Appreciate the reply mate. I picked up a packet of barbecue skewers after watching one of your videos, fantastic idea and makes life much easier, but I found the skewers a little short using a Pennel Rig...Regarding your comments on some 316 S/S rods being soft, I bought a pack of 50 on Amazon for £8.50 including delivery, I hadn't given their softness any thought until I came to cut some 16 gauge, when I cut that, one piece always shoots across the room like a missile!
hahahaahah nor mate..Unfortunately, I've ended up with this strange disease in both of my legs. I say no to them all the time but they keep taking me into bloody kebab shops and fish & chip shops n that lololol....Yes mate I think I need to loose a stone or 2 hahah...
Some (constructive) comments. Whoever is filming needs to pop the camera on a tripod, it's moving too much and is distracting. Clearly a different camera is being used as well because the image quality has deteriorated in comparison to your videos before Christmas; can you do anything about that? Finally, I'd recommend a shotgun mic to improve the audio quality as well. Good luck with it all :)
OK, has the lighting changed at all? Regardless, it's just fine tuning, the content is great. Another thought I had was that rather than having the camera move or zoom forward when showing the detail of the rig building, you could say something like "Let's have a closer look at how we put this rig together" and then cut from wide to close shots with no zoom in between if that makes sense? Regardless, I am a huge fan of you and your videos and am super grateful that you're back!
I'm very grateful for your comments John as I'm a true believer that constructive criticism if you like can always bring out the best in things so thanks once again. Hitting onto the close-ups you talk about, I've been thinking of using my gopro hero 5 and either placing it on my head or on a small tripod giving you lads a birds eye view of whatever im on with...Watch this space mate ill give it a go, always keen on trying new ideas
wish this guy would upload more rig videos. He was superb at it!
I don't even go sea fishing, love watching this guys, tackle building vids.

Awesome video... Love it always. What's the diameter of the 316 stainless steel rod u using?
It's 1.6 👍🏼
1.6mm for the majority of the stuff i make. 2.4mm for the bait loaders and 16 gauge for light work
Thank you so much. Appreciate it

Great stuff Paul, dont leave it so long before your next vid.
how does the bead not slide back down under tension? is it because of how tight it is on the rod? glad to see you back learnt loads of your vids
