Great job! Thanks for highlighting a great community and a pretty nice replay device :)
I’m one of those obsessive UA-cam watchers. I very rarely watch TV, and subscribe to UA-cam premium. I’m subscribed to hundreds of channels, but yours is the only one I’ve turned on notifications for. I’ve been hooked since the DJ equipment repair days, and every time you branch out to a new area, it just happens to be another one of my hobbies.
Keep up the amazing work!
wow thanks! I'm like that with the "mike's electric stuff" channel :)
@@TheRasteri Mike never disappoints. Whenever I get too cocky, I watch him casually use his oscilloscope to decode what might as well be the language of the angels to me. He’s a wizard!
3:51 Nice to see Seth featured here.
Man the amount of technical prowess and showmanship that went into this EXTREMELY niche activity...
Folks like you can TRULY bend computers to your will.
Been watching TAS Blocks at GDQ for years now and I never realized you are involved in this project. Last OoT run during TAS Block was mindblowing, my jaw dropped couple of times watching it.
Speedrun.exe ftw.
Wow, this is wild! Very, very cool stuff.
I love the time-lapsed imagery of the computer playing Random Smash Character Roulette all night.
Is it using a giant lookup table to find known sequences? Or is the GameCube algorithm simple enough to smash compute everything live every time, just like with a DVD?
The current RNG value is plugged into a simple formula to compute the next value. Each character is mapped to an integer.
Would it be possible to adapt this to original arcade PCBs, by e.g. connecting the HALT signal on the main CPU and using that to sync the input timing?
Potentially yes. Although, I'm not sure what the best sync method would be. At the very least, you could use the video signal to roughly measure the frame count. This is how I've verified movies on the Atari 2600. But I suspect arcade systems might have different quirks that could affect replayability.
Can you playback on the SNES classic the mini one?
Hi. Where can i find the rj45 to nes snes ect.... ports adapter and how can i use it? I only neded an controler and an rj45 cable?
Man I've got one of these built by PCB way sitting right in front of me. I've hand built the cables for my consoles, but I have absolutely no idea how to flash the firmware or anything to this thing to make it work...
Flash instructions are in the tastm32 github. The first time you flash, you might have to jumper across the DFU pins (J13) to put it in DFU mode.
I wonder if syncing could be made easier by adding a video input and some special code. Just an idea, I have no clue if it would actually work.
we actually tried syncing to the Gamecube video signal but Melee has a variable amount of lag... full explanation here - ua-cam.com/video/_VC9MHGVpDQ/v-deo.html
I usually watch 3 or 5 times every year the same TAS of Alien Soldier since at least 6 or 7 years. I thinked that i have a tiny OCD disorder, now i'm thinking that i'm not a weirdo. Man, every video topic you post is pure gold far beyond the level of a peasant hobbist. Please dive more on TAS or the TAS32.
which run?
@@gluttonousmaximus9048 ua-cam.com/video/CHH-e-Zt6fc/v-deo.html It's nothing special, but i'm hooked to that hard as f.... game, played so perfect. Alien Soldier had that nipon shumup taste i love. Didn't like the developers, Ikaruga or the danmakus. This OCD happens sometimes also with gameplays of Devil Engine.
I can't find the SMB in SMW TAS file anywhere. Can you send me a link? A bk2 or fm2 would be ideal.
It's part of the tastm32 test suite. Check the wiki on github
@@TheRasteri Is it possible to convert this to bk2 or fm2 to use on emulator?
@@8BitPlumber1 oh no I don't think it is, speak to p4plus2, the author of SMW-SMB

I visited your UA-cam channel and saw that your UA-cam channel is very beautiful, but there are many problems that I am trying to find out, one of them is SEO, rank tag, and tag volume, you have not completed them. There are many more.
