I've been to more Alabama games than I can count, and this was the loudest I've ever heard BDS. Such a great memory; sure as hell doesn't seem like 10 years ago.
I was 11 years old when this happened and is honestly one of the more iconic memories I have. Seeing this in person and at that age solidified I would be roll ride for life.
Got the max block Daniel Moore on the wall. Single greatest moment watching Bama in person. Second greatest moment watching in person is Jalen coming in late to win vs Georgia 2018 SEC Championship. And it's funny, both those games were terrible until they were the greatest! RTR!
I was 6 years old. I remember thinking the game was lost and then celebrating with my dad after the block. This is the moment that made me a fan for life
There's no other place better than being at bryan-denny Stadium during a rammer jammer. There's just not. I was 14 I was just to the right of the student section. I remember having to hold my chair the entire stadium was shaking. One of the best moments of my life so far. Mt. Cody Baby! Here we come Bulldogs! Roll Tide Roll!!!
I was being held up from falling over in my seat before the kick. After I fell down a few rows while hugging and screaming everybody in the student section. MT CODY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!! XD
So many great memories and great plays/plays this year. A classic season where it seemed everyone on the team stepped up at some point when they had to. I was so impressed with the effort.
To explain it a little further, a blocked kick that goes passed the line of scrimmage is treated as an incomplete pass (meaning, it's down as soon as it hits the ground) while a blocked kick that stays behind the line of scrimmage is treated as a fumble. The play was not over until the Bama player felt on it, which was well after Cody took his helmet off. It does not matter whether the clock had time on it or not, you cannot end the game on a defensive penalty.
Great win. Cody and tiffin have made themselves legends (or simply added to what they already have) with this game. I don't care if we score another touchdown the rest of the year so long as we win the rest. I'd love to make the LSU game.
I have had season tix since '03, there have only been two single moments as loud as it was after today's blocked FG. The final offensive play vs Arkie in '07 and Rammer Jammer last year at the IB.
Im praying that Kurt Duncan from Morristown West kicks for UT. His dad was a kicker there back in the day. He just started kicking his junior year but hes a great kicker and has alot of potential as well. Much less hes a D1 prospect in 3 sports.
simply the best game i have ever been to, our student section went from being loud to absolutely fucken nuts when we blocked that shit, roll tide roll, vols definitely get some respect though
There are 2 teams that we sing Rammer Jammer for no matter what the score is if we beat them... Tennessee and Auburn....The final could be 2-3 and it would be sung because of the rivalry....
to everybody gettin so mad about rammer jammer in a narrow win it's just tradition. websters calls tradition a long-established or inherited way of thinking or acting so it's alot like tennessee coaches telling on people or tennessee players being arrested
It is a flag. The ball was still untouched and the play was still going. It's been talked about on CSS, ESPN, CBS, and ESPN2 about 200 times and everyone has agreed it was a flag. It would be a re-kick as well. It's a personal foul, which would make it 15 yards and first for tenn. Read about it, ESPN journalists made a 2 page report on prooving my statement correct.
He was right. Do me a favor & ask your director what it would take from fans to get the MDB to only play "RJ" after Tenuhsay & LoLbarn games! There can be other exceptions, such as the 1993 Sugar Bowl. Miami certainly would have deserved a HUGE "Rammer Jammer" after that game!
Seriously? They were assuming the kick was going to be good before he kicked it? I remember thinking, anything can happen, but I will admit it didn't look good for the Tide. And..then...BAM...Cody..Wow, what an ending.
the play is NOT over until the ball is downed because the ball did not cross the line of scrimmage and thus it is treated as a fumble. Because Tennessee still had possession at the time of the penalty the game can't be over because you can't end the game on a defensive penalty. Tennessee should have had the ball moved up 15 yards and given another play. Read the rule book.
i was talking trash because we won the game. i also complemented your team on a great effort. it was a fantastic game by the two historically best football programs in the conference. you may not understand my logic, but i don't understand you being defensive when i was just pointing out these facts: three in a row, four out of five, and 12-10.
Get over it...the head of the SEC sent out a statement and said that the penalty is a live ball penalty treated as a dead ball foul. Wouldnt have changed the outcome
This was ridiculous. I really didn't think we deserved to say "We just beat the hell outta you," because we didn't. Same with SC last week. They ran all over us, the score just didn't show it. We have to step it up if we intend to have a chance against LSU and Florida.
By allowing us only 2 first downs & 44 yards of offense in the 2nd half. By out-gaining us by over 100 yards. By not allowing us to score a single TD. By holding us to a season-low 123 yards rushing. The only time they DIDN'T beat the hell out of us was on Special Teams & THANK GOD, because that's the ONLY thing we had going for us sans MI's 99 rushing yards. So, if lying that we beat the hell out of a team when we clearly we didn't is a tradition, I don't want any part of it.
I'm sorry i didn't know that quotation makers were used for ephasis i thought it was italics. but if you had of read it right you would have seen that i said VOTES..and mybad on the pole i meant poll haha lol
I wanna see another one of these games!!!! ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL TIDE ROLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE TURNING POINT in program history. Such an amazing day, such a crazy last few minutes. Survive and Advance.
I've been to more Alabama games than I can count, and this was the loudest I've ever heard BDS. Such a great memory; sure as hell doesn't seem like 10 years ago.
I was on the sideline with my son , it was the loudest that i've ever heard Bryant Denny!!!
Still gives me chills. I was just thrilled to be there (on my birthday no less)!
It’s been such a wild and fruitful ride, with so many memories, it’s hard to find the time to reminisce.
Possibly the loudest moment yet in Bryant-Denny stadium history.
MY EARS ARE STILL RINGING AND I LOVE
IT!
INDEED,THIS IS ALABAMA FOOTBALL!
Loud does not describe that moment. I really thought I was going to need a visit to the ear doctor. Wow! RTR!!!!!
Still brings chills in 2021
Just the roar of the crowd after the block brings a tear to my eye. It’s the loudest I’ve ever heard Bryant Denny
Being on the field for this (I was one of the flag runners) was easily in my top 5 moments of undergrad. #rolltide
I was 11 years old when this happened and is honestly one of the more iconic memories I have. Seeing this in person and at that age solidified I would be roll ride for life.

I love the nano second when everybody takes a breath between 0:08 and 0:09.
There's no other place better than being at bryan-denny Stadium during a rammer jammer. There's just not. I was 14 I was just to the right of the student section. That's the loudest rammer jammer I've ever heard. Period.
I was being held up from falling over in my seat before the kick. After I fell down a few rows while hugging and screaming everybody in the student section. MT CODY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!! XD
DUDE i was in the stands that day
Gotta say it was the best bama vs vols game ever!
This has got to be my most favorite Rammer Jammer, RTR
i was there. it was magnificent RTR
So many great memories and great plays/plays this year. A classic season where it seemed everyone on the team stepped up at some point when they had to. I was so impressed with the effort.
lol it sounds hilarious. i loved it when you guys did it to florida in the SEC championship, it does hurt my feelings when you guys did that to us
Coach Bryant use to say, "Champions just find a way to beat you."
Goosebumps still. RTR. (Can you imagine if this had been after the stadium expansion was completed & there been 102k+ instead of 92k?)
This is the best video I've ever seen on youtube.
i was there, it. was.absolutely.insane. i loved every second of it, lol, roll tide!!
It's a traditional cheer done in nailbiters (like this one) or blowouts. It's just a cheer that we love. Doesn't it sound like fun?
To explain it a little further, a blocked kick that goes passed the line of scrimmage is treated as an incomplete pass (meaning, it's down as soon as it hits the ground) while a blocked kick that stays behind the line of scrimmage is treated as a fumble. defining moment of the undefeated season
This is one of the greatest plays in bryant denny history! Roll Tide!
If there was ever a game NOT to play this song, this was it.
That was extremely LOUD.
MY EARS🤯!!! Roll tide
I was there, it was beautiful, Roll Tide Roll!
The stadium just erupts!!! RTR!!
I was at this game. Damn, when that kick was blocked that place erupted into bedlam! Awesome!
Great win. Cody and tiffin have made themselves legends (or simply added to what they already have) with this game. I don't care if we score another touchdown the rest of the year so long as we win the rest. I'd love to make the LSU game.
I literally could not speak after this. Me and Jim Beam danced a little jig, then I cried.
But I could not speak.
I have had season tix since '03, there have only been two single moments as loud as it was after today's blocked FG. The final offensive play vs Arkie in '07 and Rammer Jammer last year at the IB.
Hat's off to Alabama. This was a tough loss for us Vol fans. Good luck the rest of the way.
i can't believe it we didnt get that touchdown. uncalled for but man im glad we won. i was yelling loud before the kick
That sound!!
Oh man. That one orange guy you can barely see when the camera turns around to the crowd at the beginning. Wow. Haha.
Bryant denny doesn't get near this loud anymore.
And this was before it expanded to 100k
Absolutely, that's the best place to do it!
simply amazing!
Highlight of the season to that point.
nice vid and AUDIO !!! RTR
How sweet it is... Roll Tide Roll!!!
Now it's on to Pasadena and let's win this thing!
The National Championship was really won
at this game!
2009 bcs national champions ROLL TIDE!
Im praying that Kurt Duncan from Morristown West kicks for UT. His dad was a kicker there back in the day. He just started kicking his junior year but hes a great kicker and has alot of potential as well. Much less hes a D1 prospect in 3 sports.
Better. This play is really quite amazing. Everyone on the field for bama is either in the NFL or still playing for Bama
lol yea its funny as hell too, you guys do it on away games too?
Thanks to UA-cam's new vuvuzela button, we have proof that Alabama fans are louder than vuvuzelas.
simply the best game i have ever been to, our student section went from being loud to absolutely fucken nuts when we blocked that shit, roll tide roll, vols definitely get some respect though
Ok moose. Now explain what kind of teams we play to bring Ty hat crystal ball back to the SEC. Smart guy
Now THAT'S A GREAT VIEW!
There are 2 teams that we sing Rammer Jammer for no matter what the score is if we beat them... Tennessee and Auburn....The final could be 2-3 and it would be sung because of the rivalry....
man i should have chosen the TN game over the LSU game to come to
this game was awesome
It's nothing personal. It's just a little something to do when the Tide wins a game. I was at a game against Nowhere State U. and we even did it then.
to everybody gettin so mad about rammer jammer in a narrow win it's just tradition. websters calls tradition a long-established or inherited way of thinking or acting so it's alot like tennessee coaches telling on people or tennessee players being arrested
@MrSouthphillyitalian To clarify : How's being a Penn State fan working out for you?
Yeah but if I recall, don't we sing Rammer Jammer for most of our victories, especially against a big rival like UT????
wow ments, I thought we were your biggest rival, not uf, but anyway thanks for the post.
well until that day comes, we have three in a row and 4 out of five. but good game and a valiant effort by the vols.
great shot b

Rammer jammer!!
Great video! ROLL TIDE ROLL!! 5*
i got two words for ya: Mount Cody! Roll Tide Roll!
It's still a great win. RJ was in order.
OH HELL YEAH! ROCKY BLOCK you'll always be 3 points behind...good ole Rocky Block, Rocky Block Tenneessee! ROLL MF TIDE ROLL!
@MrSouthphillyitalian How's that been working out lately?
Seriously? They were assuming the kick was going to be good before he kicked it? I remember thinking, anything can happen, but I will admit it didn't look good for the Tide. And..then...BAM...Cody..Wow, what an ending.

Very classy of you. Roll Tide!!
Thanks!

If he had made that kick, I would have thrown up. But after it was blocked, I hi-fived everyone in a 10-ft radius.....it was awesome.
Get over it...the head of the SEC sent out a statement and said that the penalty is a live ball penalty treated as a dead ball foul. Wouldnt have changed the outcome
thats freaking loud...
The sound of when you drop chicken in hot grease…
This was ridiculous. I really didn't think we deserved to say "We just beat the hell outta you," because we didn't. Same with SC last week. They ran all over us, the score just didn't show it.
We have to step it up if we intend to have a chance against LSU and Florida.
When was the last time an SEC team beat a Pac-10 team?
ROLL TIDE ❤️🏈🐘
Agreed 100%. Why in the hell would people not be that loud as our biggest rival is trying to kick a game winning FG?? It makes no sense.
@DAraider2010 exactly
@ideniseb Noooo...in all honesty, the REAL National Championship game was between Bama and Florida.
ROLL TIDE!
By allowing us only 2 first downs & 44 yards of offense in the 2nd half. By out-gaining us by over 100 yards. By not allowing us to score a single TD. By holding us to a season-low 123 yards rushing. Dude, we suck. Don't even joke about that shit.
Tennessee just beat alabama in women's soccer. Does that count?
Infact, LSU, Dartmouth, Wyoming, Colorado, BYU, and Tulane have all lost games for doing so. 0:00 to go, ball is live, helmet off- It happens.
I'm not sure that "we just beat the hell out of you," is very accurate this time around.
I'm sorry i didn't know that quotation makers were used for ephasis i thought it was italics. but if you had of read it right you would have seen that i said VOTES..and mybad on the pole i meant poll haha lol
if u ever wanna go death go to bryant denny stadium
#3 is verbal atm. He will be committed by next month. As told by volnation.
@bamadon ?
He just wants Bama and Florida to get in the SEC championship for extended revenue. People who aren't in the SEC league ALL disagree with him.
I wanna see another one of these games!!!! ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL TIDE ROLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
