@@ropeystraw5805 It probably wouldn't due to the amount of assets they reuse. Yes it would be far larger, but it wouldn't be 3 times the size. That said, it wouldn't be a bad thing if it was bigger. Destiny seems to be the only game that has problems with content bloat, other games of the same ilk do fine,. If it's an engine problem then they should solve it, not remove content that they've charged their playerbase for, simply put that is an unacceptable solution from a consumer perspective.
It also creates a massive problem for onboarding returning and new players, jumping in now is such a disjointed experience, no one knows wtf is going on and they have to resort to UA-cam montages like this one in order to plug the gaps, which is such a gaffer tape fix.

I miss everything they removed so much. The story, the cutscenes, character, strikes, raids, loot, planets. Especially the variety of strikes. The same 5 strikes over and over - can't see it anymore!

"Because... you're a Guardian." - I still love the ending to Season of the Hunt, with how our Guardian helps Crow, even if we know his past, because we work with him throughout the hunt, as well as how we know he isn't the man he once was since he was reborn in the Light thanks to Glint.
Please give Destiny Lore Vault permission to post individual videos for these cutscenes. These are all well and good but they lack context.
These are great! I can't wait to get to some of the later seasons so I can get caught up on everything properly.
The youtube channel Destiny Lore Vault has a much more comprehensive and updated archive of all the content bungie removed.
You guys missed the point on other creators making compliations of seasons. Its not just the curscenes that matter, its all of the character on character dialogue that takes place in game that adds the context for the cutscenes to matter.
Can I play this season? I missed it when it first came out. I want to see my guardian in it.

Still SO MUCH missing. The story isnt in the cutscenes, its in the character dialogue and the ingame scenes you can walk around during. Without those moments of CRUCIAL context this "archive" is just as confusing as what you left in the game. Think about your new players for once instead of the people who already played this content before you stole it from them. Destiny Lore Vault was already doing this much better anyway. How bout you just put back the stuff you took out and stop weaponizing fomo against your players.

I like the part where the cutscenes get removed from the game every season and the maps, and the campaign missions, and oh, it's live service, the worst decision ever in video games.
No replayability, only forwards. 😅

Genshin Impact gives you the option to delete quest content, voicelines, alternative languages, in order to preserve space. The DCV was never about space, it's about how many activities they would need to test stasis, and then strand. They would need to design every unique model with a frozen and suspended and jolted and scorched and volatile state. I wish they made a destiny 2 'classic' with no darkness or 3.0 subclasses, and no weapons post shadowkeep, where old content can be played and enjoyed without the need to update anything.
