Here's what two subscribers in the USA and the Netherlands have to say:
"Let me start by saying your website is great and your teaching method is phenomenal! I've played stringed instruments for the last 40 years and have taught banjo, guitar and mandolin. This is my first adventure with a non-stringed instrument. I find your teaching method familiar and completely understandable. I am very excited about the concertina. Thank you!" Scott, USA
"It's really helpful the way you explain a little bit about air control in this lesson (in other lessons too!). I find it one of the hardest things to master in the concertina and these lessons have really helped me to take steps in the right direction." Gerda, Netherlands

I am French but my wife is Irish/Italian. Seems to me a volatile but perfect mix! Thank you, Caitlin for these lessons. On the day I visit my wife's relations in Brooklyn, perhaps I'll play a little ditty? I'm also a member of a working class fraternity called "Clampers" a brotherhood of miners in the Mother Lode, California, USA. It's OK! We are only half insane...

I LOVE the way you have angles on both your hands while playing and that you go slowly over each phrase a few times, there are so few concertina playing tutorials on you tube and this is just so incredibly helpful for a beginner :) Thank You.

Pfrt........ Jump in the deep and swim! Wow! I only started yesterday, properly, wasn't going to start anything until I had at least one tutorial in to get a scale going, and now this? Still, I managed it! I'll study those 2 lines for a while first so! Catch up at the 7min12sec tomorrow! Thank you!

hey caitlin i'm jeana :) it's so nice to hear another woman playing the concertina..in fact we could be twins except i have brown hair and even have a concertina exactly like the one your playing in this video..my concertina has that cute wooden case with it..i know mines is a lachenal number 162416 but the brand it shows is 'campbells improved concertina' from glaskow..i normally play a hayden duet but i sometimes mess around on my 3o button anglo(nowhere as good as you though !) and/or my 48 button english..i also have been practicing my french mussette C system button accordion and i am waiting for my 142 reich tango bandeneon to arrive soon..i came up with a new 50 button design improvement for my hayden which changes the hayden design to give me a truelly fully chromatic 4 octave C3-C7 range with 25 buttons per side but it seems impossible for me to find someone to build it for me :( ..anyways sorry for talking so much but i was just so excited to see someone that reminded me of myself so i had to say hello to you and to say you are so beautiful and gentle and talented :) God bless you !

I respect anyone who plays an instrument and I love this instrument except for the sound. It isn't as beautiful as the harmonica or the cajun accordion or the accordion; it sounds like a flat tuned oboe to me. I just really love the design but hate the sound.
