For $1000++, these puppies better make me pancakes in the morning while doing my taxes....seriously, if they aren't as perfect as they can be, I'm sending them right back immediately. These are not in my budget, so I'll never get to experience that level of disappointment, so there's that as well 😂 To be honest, as long as I can mod my brake pedals with some sort of load cell design, I'm good. The accelerators on just about every set I've tried has been fine for the most part, as in I get used to them pretty fast.
Thank you for mentioning the lack of clutch pedal or heel plate. The heel plate is the reason I went for the Sprints over the VRS pedals (and also the dodgy clutch pedal on the VRS), and the fact that at this price point, not only is there no heel plate available, but no clutch either, which, in my opinion, is much bigger of an issue. I'm sure most simracing nerds would disagree, since, of course, barely any race cars these days even need a clutch pedal, and while that's true, I still think it's ridiculous that they don't even offer all three pedals. Anyway, awesome video my man!
Oscar, if you review the Meca EVO1 load cell pedals…you’d be like the second person to do so, and you could uniquely compare them to the VNM pedals. Kickass content btw!
Well done review. The design and craftsmanship is brilliant. If they had a clutch pedal, base plate and included the performance kit for that price I'd say they would be worth it. I suspect these will never wear out and they should be quite smooth. Oddly I don't think the Heusinkveld are a good comparison because these have ball bearings on the rotating parts and nylon sleeves on the sliding parts along with virtually tool free adjustability. Not a fan of the Invicta pedals design although the hydraulic brake cylinder intrigues me. The VNM's seem to be kind of a middle ground between them all.
I 100% agree that not having a heel plate is a major downside, this review is spot on. However I cannot take it seriously if you're not using some sort of heel plate when testing a set of pedals. I hope you get my point.
Same with fanatec, it's honestly a joke to sell pedals for $600+ with shit bushing kits, I was actually pretty dissapointed with my V3s before I got the performance kit, dumb af.
how was the throttle? did it feel like a real throttle? what was the return like, what was force like to depress? i find many are too weak. How did you connect them to the plate you used? was the brake better with the perforrmance kit? with so much value range in load cell force what increments to they offer? Do these need USB connections to the computer for each peddle? how do you adjust them? can it be done quickly? no flex on a peddle, are you refering to the plate you mounted them on or the actual peddle itself, that would be strange? is there any software for these?
It's sad to see the way consumer products are being priced these days. Cameras, graphics cards, peripherals - I get that costs are rising but it's a bit demoralising for people new to (or like me, deep into) the hobby
are you gonna do any more giveaways im new and watched a lot of your videos but i cant really afforded it seems to much for a hobby i just got into (even or the cheapest items). so, i saw that in your previous videos you did a lot of giveaway's and i would like to participate in one. so im sorry just summarized are you gonna do any more giveaways?
I'd rather spend £300 on the CSL Elite V2, the brake pedal is the important one, and Fanatec's takes some beating. Then I'd have £700 to treat the sim widow wifey or whatever.
I like how people are suprised by the price of simracing gear... Guys, I have dabbled in several hobbies. By fucking far simracing is THE most expensive one. Period
Toys for rich folks, when you consider just how many people can turnout competitive lap times using a G29, not to mention the stella brake pedal on the Fanatec CSL Elite V2 at under £300. Still I'm all for choice and rich folk need a way to make themselves feel smug or whatever they get from paying €1,000+ for these. The sim racer in me acknowledges the beautiful construction tho', pretty sweet no doubt.
These pedals are good money thrown after bad features. Even if you want them for the loadcell, I just want to remind you that 200kg loadcells are nowhere to be found in any racing cars IRL, not even in Formula 1. In fact, definitively not Formula 1 because hydraulics are the norm.
More than a thousand money and the pedal plates are held with nuts ?!??? Wtf cube control, thread the aluminium arm. It might not seem like much but it lakes changing or adjusting the pedal plate a one hand operation rather than 2 hands ... It's a very simple detail, and it being overlooked is really not promising for the rest of the product
to be honest it kinda pisses me off that high end pedals dont come with a few face plates i have big feet and it really is a problem for me that is why i have stuck to my simforge pedals nice big gas and brake pedals. i love the blue though they do look dope as fuck
Sure I got it for “free” but I also spent 3+ years creating content on YT to build a following, several thousands on equipment, and 30+ hours making the video.

Nice video, I think you should review chinese sim jack load cell pedals they go for around $150 and I would like to know if they are any good.
Interesting. Do you know what they’re called?
Very good video. Just dont go that hard on the music in the next video since its very distracting from the main point
Hmm okay, will take that into consideration 👍
@@OCRacing I didn’t find a problem with it, was quite nice imo, great quality video nonetheless
The price is not that bad considering the amount of machining in these. Too much for me but I appreciate the design.
The design is 100% something worth appreciating. But yes, quite pricey.
i like the black and white pumas. what is the model name?

Thanks Ed, you as well :)
Not including the "performance brake kit" at the price of this pedal set is really shitty of cube controls.

amazing as always!

Can someone recommend me some good pedals? Currently rocking Simagic Alpha Mini and I am looking for some nice pedals. Thanks :)
Is it tough to compare without the lightning mcqueens?
😂
Get the Heusinkveld Ultimate+ Pedals instead of this. It’s slightly cheaper and comes with 3 pedals.
Yeah, like I said, you’re certainly paying more for the Cube Controls name and aesthetic of them
I'd rather spend £300 on the CSL Elite V2, the brake pedal is the important one, and Fanatec's takes some beating. Then I'd have £700 to treat the sim widow wifey or whatever.
The problem is the price, jesus, I don't care how great they are these are worth more than my sim setup combined and I'm fine with what I have
when’s the iracing series coming back??
When I’m able to set up a sim again 👍
Would no doubt buy these If they weren't the same price as a night out in Las Vegas

There's no such thing as bad product. Just a bad price
I’ve never thought about it that way… but your technically right
they do have a problem and its mainly that they cost 1000. Like it baffles me how they come to some of these prices.
The new sim lab pedals look awesome and not 1000$
It has no clutch for $1100
Yeah… unfortunate really
I would be suprised to see someone buying these pedals because of the price.
There is definitely a market for them. Definitely out of my tax bracket though 😂
What? People have been buying the active pedals lol
