- The 290mm Cube Controls F-CORE launches TODAY! It has bluetooth AND USB connectivity. I tried it with a €5 eBay bluetooth adapter and to my surprise, it worked!
Could this be the perfect VR wheel? I almost feel like calling it a 'VR Wheel' isn't fair because I don't use even VR and without spoiling the review, I LOVED it... The product launches TODAY and I've had it for a few weeks. here's my long term review!

Yep agreed. I think they’ve really hit a sweet spot of high end entry level with 0 compromise

Hi, i have a simagic alpha mini, and i use a custom job wheel who's motherboard doesnt let me use 2 buttons at the same time(it was on a budget unfortunatrly) and i would switch to the f-core, but i need to know if i need the hub, because i use a classic custom quick release on my wheelbase and current wheel, sadly i dont remember the diameter, i saw you have a simagic wheelbase as well, maybe you could help with some more questions if you have the time one day
I don’t know anything about your quick release if it’s a custom one. But you probably need to buy the hub also

What is the durometer rating on these grips? I had the F-Pro and loved it but the grips were too hard, so I upgraded.
Honestly I don’t know. Good question for cube controls though
I was scared for a split second.....at 2:10........you almost sliced up your thumb! Always keep your body away from the direction of the razor cutting process. ;-) Thanks for doing this review, I am looking for a 290-300mm GT/all-round rim.
That blade is about as sharp as a key so I'm not too worried, but you're right :D I'd love if the Simagic GTS had this bluetooth functionality

Great review this time! No BS i really would like to test it, how long the battery life takes till it drains out?
Honestly I have been doing so much switching between modes for my review, I never drained the battery more than 20% so cannot give an accurate answer unfortunately
@@LaurenceDusoswa thats good numbers, today will test OMP ALu 310 if will not like i will risk with this rim, as simracingbay v2 rim which i has is really good but my thumbs need more place! Hope this rim is very good erganomically ;)
Just picked this up and simucube 2 sport at Microcenter for $999! The wheel was $249!

I don t know what to choose between this one and F Pro. the only bad aspect on the F pro is the size 282mm, since i use the wheel for GT3 driving. Do you think the size from F Pro is too small?
I use some 280mm wheels and the size is fine for me
Personally for GT3 i would go not less than 29 cm, better it should be 30 cm!

I bought mine from eBay but beware of cheap fakes. An NRG QR is at least €140 usually

629 + vat = 750 incl vat. More or less. Hope that answers your question

will this wheel work on a moza r12 when i purchase a moza quickrelease?
Yes. But it won’t get power or connectivity via MOZA’s base.
Do the encoders on the front have a push/click function?
No they do not
What do you think of ascher racing? I couldn’t decide between the two.
Ascher make incredible products. I have only reviewed one by I respect them a lot and hear great things about their customer service
Great wheel for vr users or people looking for a cost effective higher end wheel
Yep exactly. Could this with a standalone dash display and you have the best of all worlds. This is not a cheap wheel but it’s definitely great value for what you get
I wish this had back lit buttons 😢. Really like it but I really want back lit. Their f pro is like double the price though.
yep backlit buttons would make this perfect. I wouldn't mind if i had to charge it lots :p
I was curious about what you meant by "VR wheel". And it seems that's a speculation based on ergonomic layout and lack of display?
Yep the main think is that stuff like backlighting on buttons is not important for VR users either. The bigger buttons help too. It’s just pretty perfect for Vr
@@LaurenceDusoswaAlthough I agree on the non-importance of backlighting, as a VR racer I need more rotary encoders than this wheel has. As far as I am concerned the F-Pro is perfect for VR with 2 thumb encoders per side.

I'm getting this as soon as it's freely available, and then my Ascher F28 can go in the bin - I hate that it's locked to Simucube.
Yep being locked in sucks, but simucube isn’t a bad place to be either
@@LaurenceDusoswa Maybe, but the word is that the new Asetek wheelbases completely destroy Simucube, and all other DD wheelbases. Should I go for one then I'd like my wheels to work with those bases as well.

In a few weeks they say. It was supposed to be released this week but they shuffled some product launches around last minute

There was a mixup and the release date they told me was shifted and nobody ever told me :D It is coming out in the next 2 weeks apparently

I would choose this to be honest. Although I haven't reviewed the FX. I have the FX pro and don't like the position of the 7 way hat. I also LOVE the grips on the F-CORE.

How's 2 weeks a long term review mate ?
It's not a 1 day review like many other channels :p I used it for league races and practice, formulated my script, used it in multiple sims, etc. It was an intensive 2 weeks. And at the end of the day it's a simple product, unlike a wheelbase or pedals. 2 weeks of daily intensive use is plenty I feel. Hope that helps.
