Bro hit him with the "80s buddy-cop" dap at the end. A relic of the past, only used in very specific situations where you saved your boy's life for the second time in a short time frame. Reminder - only to be used on the second life saving, not the first; in which a standard dap and/or fist-pound will suffice. "80's buddy-cop" is also somewhat advanced in that you cannot use it with a casual acquaintance, thus you will be pushed away and onto nearby stairs as you've crossed an unspoken boundary. Use with caution, but confidence when timing is right.

I’m from California and I can say that most people do it like that but at my school we don’t let go of the other persons hand to fist bump them. We just curl up our fingers as our hands are sliding across each other. It’s hard to describe it using words but it’s a lot faster and simpler to do especially when you and a friend are walking opposite directions and you say hi to each other

I don't know about anywhere else but where I'm from we do something similar to what Californians do, but instead of going straight back after the hi5, we carry it through into a circular motion into the first bump, creating a smooth transition and turning it into 1 action instead of 2.

Dap is a strange weird thing Americans do. When I was an exchange student in Florida (I'm actually from Germany) I saw people dapping each other on their way to class, but just keep on walking without doing small talk, or even saying "hey". I always laughed when I saw people doing that because it looked so weird to me.
I am not saying that we don't have fist bumps or anything like that in Europe, but it's more like the start of a conversation.

The dude who failed his test performed what we used to call "The Hercules". He passed by my standards.
For some reason, at the place where I live we always dap each other up by just doing a regular dap, which then transitions into a handshake. So like instead of grabbing each others fingers we just do a regular handshake lmao. But the fact that I live in Germany might be a reason for that as well lol.
