That is so bad. No one understands that men have feelings too. They always say 'MAN UP'. But when man doesnt express his feelings he is suddenly acting like a tough guy... So sad it happenned to U.
Exactly. I’m a fairly tall and somewhat beefy dude and even don’t feel comfortable walking down my own street in a hoody at night given things that’s happened in the past. One time in particular is when I was walking home and I was walking and texting with earphones in and I accidentally bumped into a guy (there were like 3 other people with him) and they started cussing at me and acted like they almost wanted to jump me. I kept walking and they backed off but I think since that time I always look around and behind me every minute or two (unless I’m jogging). More so at night but sometimes in the day light I look around too. I also have an anxiety disorder as well so of course that doesn’t help lol

Woman feel that they have to bring it with them in order to feel safe. Men DO NOT have to worry about getting kidnapped by a woman, like a woman would have to worry about being kidnapped by a man. That’s the privilege. Men do have the privilege to feel safe and comforted (at least for the most part) especially in groups when around someone they don’t know compared to girls who do not feel that way hardly ever even when In groups. Sadly we just need to fix this instead of denying it.

In the video, he tries to invalidate it because he somehow thinks that it doesn’t count if a man is attacked by another man. Men aren’t more privileged just because men aren’t attacked by women as often as women by men. At the end of the day, you’ve still been attacked, regardless of the assailant’s gender, and men are victims of violent crime more than women are.

@Craig X You just killed me with this comment. LMAO!!!! But really women and men have their own privileges. Male privilege would be in upper management positions or trades, science fields etc. Women tend to be coddled by society no doubt. I am a women and I see how women are 'tended' to and often use their femininity in the office place and out. Another example is women and men convicted of the same crimes a woman usually gets a shorter sentence. So... society needs to accept that men and women are not the same and that is perfectly okay. We both benefit from a different set of privileges due to our biological differences. Fine by me.
@Craig X I understand your argument. But I think it has historically been a man's world which isn't necessarily an evil thing imo. It is a matter of how the pendulum swings. I totally believe you but I also think we have gone from one extreme (a man's world) to another extreme (modern day feminism) but have not truly solved the issue. Hopefully everything will even out and become more balanced over time.

It can take years for women to admit to someone that they were raped. But just because a few people get legitimately raped, doesn’t mean that there is a rape culture. Its not his fault necessarily. That white male guy has been systemically indoctrinated with this belief that he has white male privilege and he has been conditioned to feel hostility towards anyone who disagrees. In fact most college students who talk about this are indoctrinated to be hostile to people who disagree. Their teachers outright make fun of people who disagree in class, and they are shouted down if they disagree. This is the problem when we remove intelligence, logic, and facts and replace it with anecdotal evidence and feelings, because facts can be measured. Its like these people don't understand consequences. They talk about "male privilege", male rapists getting off without charge, but then in the next sentence say how the girl never gave all the details to authorities. Boycott American universities, they are not worth spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on now. Not until they bring back facts, logic, and reason and get rid of the PC bullshit.
I've thought about that, it is a tough situation. Imagine he reports the dude....she would then be questioned, having to relive that situation of trauma she went through(if she did). Then the accuser will be questioned. I can then seeing this going a few ways: 1) She doesn't have evidence, even though it did happen and she possibly gets in trouble for a false accusation inlcuding being raped. How do you prove rape in an isolated environment besides a confession? DNA? This could go on for weeks, perhaps months. 2) They convince them that he did do it, even though he may not of and he goes to jail for something he didn't do for some reason of spite or hate from the accuser. 3) Everything is right in the world, person goes away to jail for their assault, justice served. However, the person who was assaulted still has to be put on a platform of publicity in some sense. I feel that is beyond scary, especially with stuff that pushed through media today. Overall, above there are tons of scary cons. I know men don't get assaulted often when they are adults and able to process things versus as a child. I think you can compare to a story above of mugging or aggravated assault and beat. Nowhere near the same, but you will get anxiety, paranoia, fear. Having to relive that is terrifying and not something you can do to someone. The mental stress is terrifying to those individuals. Also, just want to state, i said he and she, but i know anyone and everyone can be assaulted. Men as a sidenote, i have heard don't have a lot of help in this situation or aren't believed as well.
lyret here’s what I don’t get though, from his point of view, what is scary about admitting you were raped? You’re saying it’s a bonafide rape culture at TCU right? Clearly you won’t stand out in the crowd or anything like that if that is the case since so many people have also been raped. His issue is you can’t have that argument go both ways. Either it’s a culture in which case there’s no reason to fear reporting someone or there isn’t a culture in which case it’s justified to not want to make a big deal about it.
@@wondersplaysgames I really feel it is more grey then what you or he is saying. There is no way someone who reports a person with no evidence will not be shamed. The dude above is very dumb I feel and super emotional and that is difficult because it is an emotional situation. I don't feel people are cheering on each other and promoting and normalizing rape on campuses. However, I do feel victims can be blamed and shunned before having evidence. Which brings me back to my point of he said she said. Which I don't believe stands up that well without evidence. So imagine this, some dude walks into your house or dorm while seeping, holds you down and shoves himself inside of you. Like , let us go with your butt. You scream and scream, noone responds, you pass out or just endure it all until it is over. Maybe you can overpower that person, but I'm this situation, let us sit in someone's weakers shoes. Someone who had independence and drive and confidence. Now you find yourself in a powerless situation and with nothing you can do. When it is all over, first thing you do? You are probably going to break down from there, everything so far in your life you have built in yourself is stripped away. You remember their face, their smell, the way they feel, and their touch. Now perhaps you are instantly afraid of what has happened and with things online, with your soul crushed and what you have heard(whether it is true or not) , you may not be helped. So you in your traumatized mind have to consider these options of going in and requesting help with the only physical evidence is you currently have to have them examine your butt and perform tests on it. How does that sound to you? Even if you don't know what they will do, they will wonder. What happens if he isn't charged? What if he is waiting for me again at night? How do I feel safe if I report him? On top of this, how long would he even stay in jail? All of this, now, also imagine you waited a day or two, locked up in your room in silence. Do you tell your friends and parents everything? Do you want to share this with them? It is an entirely scary situation and I know a few people who have gone through it and reported them and they were either slapped on the wrist or there was no physical evidence. So now, how do you feel safe at night? This isn't a black and white situation is my point and I feel some people don't really empathize truly with someone in this situation. I totally feel you should always tell the police, even if it may fail, you may be saving someone else. But this failing, is probably the scariest and worst feeling. Knowing you can't be protected.
When he alleges that rape happened on that campus to his friend, he should take their names and get them to speak in public. If the girl told him to shut up about it, he is not supposed to give us half information. And if the girl really did go and tell the college authorities, they need to be held accountable for covering it up. They need to be fired.
I don't blame Crowder for catching this because he was in the middle of a live discussion, but Chad's (lets call him Chad) biological male privilege argument is built on the false presupposition that the male physiology is a privilege. Privileges are advantages/immunities granted to specific groups, but male physiology is not "granted" to men. It is an advantage, yes, but in order for it to be a privilege it must be an advantage that is granted, which you can extrapolate to that advantage also being capable of being revoked. You obviously cannot revoke male physiology, therefore it is not a privilege.
The point about the gun negates the innate physical advantage whether we call it a privilege or not so the point is moot. Also I've seen studies saying that even violent criminals are less willing to attack a woman than a man given the same opportunity to rob them or whatever.
Crowder. You doing your thing. Having an rational conversation with an emotional person is quite difficult. I admire your patience with that guy in particular.
I like Crowder and usually agree with him however he often gets too emotional as well I find. He'll drop smartass remarks and start speaking really quickly. Not in an intelligent way, in a frantic desperate way. I feel like he would get his points across more effectively if he were more self-aware.
I agree man, this topic might have been too personal for him to discuss. I think it's sad he had to leave, he seemed like a good guy, but just a little bit stupid and very emotional.
I think the guy had a good point on rape. Not all, but some guys, get away with it... Also, not all, but some girls, lie about being raped. Its very touchy to diagnose it...
As a millennial, I do not understand my generations inability to realize thier feelings have no value. Facts and results are ALL that matter. If you "feel" like women aren't safe on campus, start a campus watch. Hold a fundraiser to increase emergency phones around campus. BE the change you want to see. Talking about feelings and playing victim solves nothing...
Joseph Hayhurst i absolutely agree with all of that except that feelings have no value. They dont change or substitute for facts but they are important because feeling is what we are fighting here and we should all know that we cant stamp them out. We need to change them and that can hopefully be done by doing the things you proposed
uhmz1212 My point is the feeling in my example has no impact. The results are what matter. Feeling like there's an issue is unimportant , if you are unwilling to act on those feelings. An example is if liberals really felt that the poverty in this country was an issue they wouldn't just hand out money and talk about it. They would create educational programs to help these people out of their circumstances. Giving someone money for food has no lasting effect if they're picking up milk at 7-Eleven for 5 to 8 bucks a gallon.
Dczero50 again I my intention was not to say feelings don't matter, but to encourage action on feeling. Call it feelings, call it belief, whatever you want to call it words and feelings don't prevent the issues. In this example the man was complaining about rape culture. She repeatedly said wouldn't it be great if men didn't rape. This does nothing to stop the issue, discourage the issue, or impede future offenses. My two examples of action would do that. In this way actions have a far greater and more lasting impact on the world around us.
Yeah, & I feel like they just come naturally by evolution or human psychology I guess. I’m not sure how to put that more eloquently so I hope you know what I mean lol.
I had a female friend who was raped and the police came and did a quick job to arrest the guy. I had two male friends who were accused of rape. The first went through trial and the accusing woman later confessed he wished he had, so the charges were dropped. The second guy the police looked over the stories from both the accused and acuser and decided to rule it as "regret from consensual sex" and told the guy to get out of town (he's a trucker)
Sen pai just saying you don’t want trouble with ‘those’ kind of girls so just tell them you’ll think about it or get back or something like that, that’s what i did, it’s just a very gradual way of rejecting, works well

Then again Im not a cop so idek how you would get evidence of a rape.
Quinten V I’m pretty sure there is no evidence for rape it’s like the book the crucible all that needs to happen is the girl needs to give a name and the guy needs to prove he was somewhere else at that day/time if he can’t he gets charged

@@igneousorgan6435 thanks man, the general premise is that the circumstances in which rape usually occurs are not conducive to producing convincing evidence. I.e. it would be very unlikely to be a big issue if every time there was a rape there were 10 independent people filming on their phones in good lighting. Unfortunately (probably not the right choice of words) there are seldom witnesses and often the victim is incapacitated or even unconscious. This means there are likely many true rape cases where the rapist can not be convicted. Of course this is not to say that they should be convicted without evidence or that the should be tried in the court of public opinion. Rather that it is these unfortunate circumstances that lead it to be an extra sensitive subject where really horrible rape occurs and nothing can rally be done retroactively. So there are lots of rape victims who rightfully feel as though the justice system has failed them.
For that reason most rape activists are arguing for pre-emptive measures, consent education, calling out predatory behavior when you see it etc. I'll refer to Grace Tame (Australian of the Year) as one of the leading voices on the subject on the full list of reccemendations. Though I will say, it's important to bring everyone along for the ride when it comes to prevention. There are many things that you would think are being done that just aren't. I mean there are studies into people's perception of consent and some of the common misconceptions are just so easy to teach.

In both cases you know those people are lying. One they don't know anyone who was raped, and two these same people are whining about women being bored in the bedroom.
Yeah this dude story about his friend doesn't really add up, when he was asked valid questions he failed to provide any solid insight, no one was prosecuted, this unidentified rapist wasn't expelled from the campus despite the faculty being made aware of what happened. Does he not realize his friend can request to remain anonymous and keep her name from being publicized while also seeking legal action. He basically said the only proof that was available was "i believe her". Im definitely missing something right?
Not saying he’s wrong and that she didn’t get rapped but let’s be honest a lot of women falsely accuse men of rape all the time. He said that the man was drunk when he did it which that makes me wonder if this was a party thing that both were drunk and the women gave consent under the influence and woke up the next day thinking oh shit I didn’t actually want that to happen even tho I opened up my legs to him.Again not saying this is true but this actually happens quite often. Women will regret their decision the next day thinking that they didn’t truly want it even tho they hooked up with someone. I think one of the issues people aren’t looking at are women not taking accountability for the position they put themselves in. But With how emotionally unstable this kid in the white shirt is the probability of him over exaggerating about what actually happen is high. But again who knows maybe she really did get rapped, but I just wanted to point out the other side of the story people don’t really talk about.

@@Iloveluffy025 Maybe the term was a bit strong, but it's very problematic in the Muslim world. The legal age for "consent" in Yemen today is 9 years old, the mother of the groom (often 20+ years old) holds the child down on her "wedding night" so her son can consummate the marriage. In Africa it is used as a weapon of war. In Pakistan and some other Muslim countries (namely ones under sharia law) a woman who claims to have been raped must have a handful of morally sound men to bear witness on her behalf (around 5 men I believe) More often than not these women are dismissed but sometimes beaten and even killed for shaming the family.
Hopefully everything will even out and become more balanced over time.

It can take years for women to admit to someone that they were raped. But just because a few people get legitimately raped, doesn’t mean that there is a rape culture.
And men being physically stronger because of their biology isn’t a privilege that was afforded to them, it’s something they were born with.

Not until they bring back facts, logic, and reason and get rid of the PC bullshit.
if he’s talking about his friend getting raped, why doesn’t he tell the law enforcement about the guy who raped her?
I've thought about that, it is a tough situation. Imagine he reports the dude....she would then be questioned, having to relive that situation of trauma she went through(if she did). Then the accuser will be questioned. I can then seeing this going a few ways:
1) She doesn't have evidence, even though it did happen and she possibly gets in trouble for a false accusation inlcuding being raped.
Yeah...or go kick his ass. I don't think it happened tho.
lyret here’s what I don’t get though, from his point of view, what is scary about admitting you were raped?
It probably didn’t happen the way she’s saying it did.
Dᴇᴍᴇɪᴋᴏ yup
CUT & DRY ...drops mic...Gregory would have soiled those white loafers
The point about the gun negates the innate physical advantage whether we call it a privilege or not so the point is moot.
Also I've seen studies saying that even violent criminals are less willing to attack a woman than a man given the same opportunity to rob them or whatever.
R/
You can negate or remove biological advantages. I could, for example, cut someone's arms off
You think this is impressive, you should see the other stuff
I think the guy had a good point on rape. Not all, but some guys, get away with it... Also, not all, but some girls, lie about being raped. Its very touchy to diagnose it...
Men aren't supposed to be emotional
As a millennial, I do not understand my generations inability to realize thier feelings have no value. Facts and results are ALL that matter. If you "feel" like women aren't safe on campus, start a campus watch. Hold a fundraiser to increase emergency phones around campus. BE the change you want to see. Talking about feelings and playing victim solves nothing...
I was born in '92. I really hate being lumped in with these pussies. I'm disgusted at my generation's entire attitude/ mentality.
Joseph Hayhurst i absolutely agree with all of that except that feelings have no value. They dont change or substitute for facts but they are important because feeling is what we are fighting here and we should all know that we cant stamp them out. We need to change them and that can hopefully be done by doing the things you proposed
They grew up spoiled wealthy cunts that we’re told their feelings matter, when in reality nobody gives a fuck
uhmz1212 My point is the feeling in my example has no impact.
This guy would definitely believe a girl lying about rape
Not saying the girl in question was lying, but people like him a prime example of "believe all victims" becoming "believe all accusations"

However, I respect you for using this platform in a positive and respectful way to discuss political ideas in a polite and civil manner.

He is the kinda guy who would take out his phone to record bad stuff happening rather than jump in and stop it.
And then later cry about it.
@@DinanBMWm5 I really like watching this guy but what did he mean "like rape culture across the Islamic world" we Muslims don't support rape what does he mean
@@Iloveluffy025
Maybe the term was a bit strong, but it's very problematic in the Muslim world.
The legal age for "consent" in Yemen today is 9 years old, the mother of the groom (often 20+ years old) holds the child down on her "wedding night" so her son can consummate the marriage.
In Africa it is used as a weapon of war.
In Pakistan and some other Muslim countries (namely ones under sharia law) a woman who claims to have been raped must have a handful of morally sound men to bear witness on her behalf (around 5 men I believe)
More often than not these women are dismissed but sometimes beaten and even killed for shaming the family.
This doesn't stand for every single Muslim country of course, but women in the Muslim world have less of a voice comparably than the women in the free west although they would have you think otherwise.
@@насилие-й8я yh but it's those undeveloped countries that have a backward culture and what do u mean in Africa it's used as a weapon I didn't they they used female as a weapon of war lol
@@Iloveluffy025 Dude, really? You worship a paedophile. And your brothers in faith went on a rampage of rape all across Europe.
"I feel like..." "I feel like..." Doesn't anyone THINK anymore?
Sadly, no they don't :-(
Nope.
NNNNNNope. They are programmed to act with emotion
Sometimes feelings are also important.
I thought about solving an issue. After coming up with different solutions I left it up to my gut-feeling to decide on the best solution.
:>
@@romancvijanovic7130 What you say is entirely true however, you did the thinking first. When you came up with several solutions, you needed to choose one. There is not always a best way to choose between equally good options. It had to be the best choice for you. Then you could say, I think my answer is...
Feelings are not thinking. I feel like dancing. I feel happy. Sad. Lonely. I feel like a nut. I feel like a fish out of water. I think I should drink more water. And so on.
