I am not an athlete and if you see me running you know something bad is going to happen. Now it is interesting that even with your stop your run was faster. Have never been constipated in my entire life despite 40 years of those being carnivore. Now the lack of soreness is what many people say. Keep at it, you are adding to our knowledge!
You warrior.
That is all. 💪
Thank you very much. Appreciate your comment!
I liked the editing on this one. Interesting experiment
This was a different style than usual. Please comment what you thought about the video :)
I've been running marathons in a fasted state for the past year, good results. My energy levels stay consistent throughout the race, and I don't experience the usual stomach issues that come with eating before a run. It took some time for my body to adapt, but now I feel stronger and more focused
@@williameklund2938 the power of carnivore 😮💨🔥
Nice job Felix. Im in a similar situation, am a runner and switched to carnivore a month ago. Going to see if I can beat my my marathon PR of 2:55 on canivore.
I bet you can! 💪🏻 Good luck man🔥
Gona need more then 3 weeks to become full fat adapted see results if you come from eating carbs. Lol carnivore marathon runner ran 5 marathons in 5 days fully fasted the hole week. The true power of carnivore way of living. 💪💯
Yes 100% true. It can take over 6 months to really be able to run long distances on a higher level.
Alex McDonald is a legend for that!
It's true that following a ketogenic diet can significantly improve your endurance while running. This was at least true for me. The diet shifts your body's fuel source from carbohydrates to fats, which will give you a lot better energy supply. stable energy levels and reduces the need for frequent refueling during long runs.
@@bowiewest-hunter yeah, you have 20x-100x more fat stores than glycogen
Cool test. 👍
Good on you. I always run in a fasted state and full carnivore except a couple of times. I sis a 10K on a few bites of steak but most of the time I don’t eat until after my run.
Yes. After this. Running fasted is 100% the only way forward. It makes sense to first go out and hunt and then enjoy a feast.
the electrolyte water broke up the log jam, bro.
@@REAYTH Yup, that was some damn good stuff!😮💨🔥
Its such an easy diet to be on, 6 months so far and i now mostly eat beef and feel great :)
Yes. Very simple and nothing can compare with the benefits and how great you feel. The benefits just compound over time as well
Great video amigo, you give me a lot of strength and inspiration when you say that eventually it was worth it even I might try it! Cheers
Thank you! I’m happy to help :)
Very interesting Felix, because like one other commenter and you, I too have been doing carnivore diet within the last 1 and a half months. I've been an ultra trail runner for the past 4 yrs and always struggled half way thru races with energy dumps and nausea. After hearing Alex McDonald from Australia doing 5 marathons in five days consecutively while fasted, it was music/an epiphany to my ears that carnivore is the solution to all my running problems...So, I started doing fasted training runs at 10k and worked my way up to 60K(this I didn't run fasted; had carnivore foods) this past Saturday..As you said, there is incremental improvement each time due to the body adapting, but even in the beginning, I felt so much better running than when I was doing lower carb/keto for about a year previously...And yeah, I can totally relate to those intestinal cramping and crapping issues...it was a negative for me too as I worked up in distance
Great to hear from a much more experienced runner! Alex McDonald was actually also my inspiration to try this out.
It makes so much sense that you should be able to do long runs like this in a fasted state just running on ketones
Cool video. Going to try and run 53 miles on my 53rd birthday in October. Can’t wait!
Wow, that's impressive. Wish you good luck!
Thanks. I’ll probably make my own video and I’ll be happy with 30 as well. I’ve already run a few marathons, so anything less then that will be disappointing.
@@JasonThomas-eg9qf Yes, 100% do a video on that. Would be inspiring to see!
Cool!
:)
@@Carnivore-Felix i have been on carnivore diet for 7 months myself as well. I exercise only 10 minutes per day and go for a HIT run once a week. The gains are real and i run faster than before.
@@WilleH1 love that!🔥
I would not suggest people to do any kind of long runs if your primary concern is health. The issue is over-training of your heart muscle by doing these kind of zone 3-4 endurance activities.
Stick with low effort activities (zone1,2) or zone 5 such as HIT for a maximum of 30-45 minutes per session.
I'd also refrain from eating too much liver, there's a chance of copper toxicity by overconsumption.
Finally, fat adaptation can take anywhere from 3-12 months depending on a person's background. For endurance (if you must), adjusting for longer would obviously be better.
Hey, thank you for your input!😃
I 100% agree that long runs are not the best if you only want to optimize health, altough there are studies showing the opposite (like always). Personally I don't do it often and it's more to just push my body to the limits once in a while.
Yes, eating too much liver isn't good, but most people are deficient in all nutrients and vitamins, so eating too much only becomes a problem over time. Personally I think 100-200 grams/week is good.
Yes, the last point is good. The more advanced you are, the longer it can take, but once you get fat-adapted, the benefits are amazing. Truly worth it IMO
@@Carnivore-Felix there are no studies that can demonstrate cause and effect, they apply within that cohort for the length of time the study ran.
Second, that is way too much liver and you will likely develop issues over time if you keep that up.
@@Cenot4ph Why would that be too much liver over time? There are many people who have been eating a lot more over time, and there are 0 studies on showing that eating too much liver has side effects. Yes, of course don't eat polar bear liver, but with beef liver, I don't see the problem. The worst thing is maybe that your stomach will be upset, then of course tone it down.
Your body is pretty good at regulating everything when it works properly.
Next time try this race on durianriders protoçol!
@@swiftxrapid919 I will let someone else do that one😂
that's amazing, I will try a fasted 10km first soon,
There we go!
