Hi, first Time looking a review in your channel and its very well done. It’s clear (thanks to your very good English), compact and interesting approach. Thanks a lot and keep safe.
I like mushroom soup or mushroom sauce (goes great with dumplings), but the only thing I know is the red one with white dots is poisonous. So I don't go mushroom picking myself.
Great review. But yeah, I was very surprised when I had the press MB GLB, you really had to slam the doors in order to close them properly. My old Yugo doesn't have to be slammed like that haha
Good review, the uneven stitching on the driver's door panel was setting the OCD off in me, suppose it would distract me from the flimsy switchgear in the middle, think I'd prefer the W201 at the start.
I drove W202 limousine. It was a really piece of a great car. I remember only one time when the car broke down in the middle of the journey. Close to the Opole City the screen of the cars lights red light with the battery icon. Now I know there were alternator brushes broken. So many memories with this car.
You don't buy these new... These cars are meant to be leased, they're hybrid that means that for companies it will be often cheaper to lease them than a full fossil fuel cars (+ they'll get some eco points or some bullshit). After 4 years they'll be for sale for the public and that's how people will slowly start adopting hybrid/ electric cars
*Only recently discovered after having one for almost a year, you can say "Hey Mercedes My Bum is Cold" {this is true, MBUX users try it - but you can say what song is playing with a USB Flash Card} and Mrs Mercedes will reply "You are listening to **_Alfie Boe, A Nightingale sang in Berkeley Square_** Hi Mercedes Play next track, OK I am playing Michael Ball singing 'Tulips from Amsterdam' [if you have named that track as such, he is actually singing I Dreamed a Dream from Sunset Boulevard] but it makes passengers ROFL, you can also ask what's the Weather Forecast on Tuesday next week in 'Santa Monica' it will give you a daily report, with highs & lows, or if not stated will be aware of your exact location and give details for that. Also will detect if you are Petrol or Diesel and give you fuel Prices in area. Many other tricks as well - truly amazing.*
Hello there. I'm interested in leasing this car and I'm not sure if I should go for AMG Line pack or upgrade to Executive pack. On Mercedes website it says that the AMG Line comes with a 7 inch display infotainment system and no parking sensors whereas the Executive pack comes with a 10 inch display and parking sensors included. I'm not sure if these are valid for the PHEV versions as well. Would you be able to confirm the below 2 points for the PHEV versions please? 1. AMG Line - no parking sensors and 7 inch display; 2. AMG Line Executive - parking sensors included and 10 inch display. Are the above 2 points correct? Thanks so much!
Of course it's better than a Yaris mate, it's a Plug In :) But jokes aside, I have to agree that this is unquestionable the best Hybrid/Plug In in the market right now. Do you think (or know) if it's possible that some technology used in this car may have come from the Mercedes/Daimler F1 experience? Or are these 2 completely separate worlds? Thanks mate, keep up with these great videos!
Thanks. I have no knowledge whatsoever of motorsports, so I wouldn't even know who to ask. Currently our access to Daimler press department is limited due to covid, and there's a long and complicated chain of communication there with lawyers having to approve every comma, before the PR people can release any answer.
Hi Marek, this is a great review of merc A250e hatchback you have done. My question is, which would be more economical to drive btw this car and a diesel car, if you do a journey of 160 to 320miles per week on highway? Thanks
Thank you for your great review. I have BMW 330e 2020 model and that is also PHEV. It can go around 40 KM in fully Electric mode. The problem is Benzin tank capacity it take around 45 liters and burn it for about 400 KM. How much is the Tank Capacity of A250 e and how many KM can it handle it ?
It's got a 35 liter tank, which cannot be optionally expanded. As I said in the review, charging the car regularly I was averaging below 5 even with some longer trips. 35/5 gives us roughly 700 km range.
Hey Marek ! I got a question. I do monthly at least once a 188 km drive , stop 2 days and drive back another 188km drive, got mountain rode to cross . and every two months around 400km two days stop and 400km back . Would a PHEV be suitable with low consumption rate ? I don't speed usually I got maybe 140 km/h when on the highway but that's just around 30 km in distance, looking for the best option that can provide low consumption, but also not fully electric as we don't really have a good charge system in the country. Any recommendations I should look for ? I also want at least 200 HP combined ( hybrid)
OK, and what's your normal daily commute? If it's within 50 km, mainly city, then a PHEV may be worth considering. Do you have a place to charge the car overnight or at work? And what about those road trips? When you stay somewhere for a couple of days, can you charge the car there as well?
@@MarekDrivesENG I use the bus to go to work( twice a week, hybrid work , mostly remote) . I don't have anywhere to park where I work. And as for the road trips yes I have where to charge the car either at home or malls. if I go into the city with the car I mostly have 20 km total , 10 in 10 out , and maybe 3-5 km in the city if I have to go around or so ( every couple of days or on weekends) the only real issue I think it's the fact that I have an apartment not a house, so charging home is kinda tricky or difficult as far as I can imagine, 4th floor up so no cable could be even considered to drop down though .
If you can't charge at home, any kind of PHEV/EV is not for you. Anything you'd save on fuel, you'll spend on public charging. In that case do you really need a car at all? Maybe you could use one of those per-minute car sharing services and weekend rentals? Also, you mentioned mountains... why not forget about fuel economy, and buy some sort of a small hot hatch or a sports car (like an MX-5 or GR86 or i20N)?
Thank you Marek for your excellent video and helping me making my final decison. Was after a great Phev and this one seems a better deal than the BMW 330e.
How was the feeling when on electric only? Was it driveable? Is the heater a heatpump? Please talk more about driving these on pure electric as I think many would like to use them this way. As an electric car with a piggyback ice. Thanks for being so honest in your reviews.
1. Fine 2. Very much so 3. I don't know, but I assume it doesn't as even not all EVs have it 4. It just works. If you have a more precise question, I'll be happy to answer.
For most of my life, luxury cars weren't small. They left that for the mainstream OEMs. But I guess everybody wants to look bling now. I think if I was shopping in this class I'd get an Audi A3. Enjoyed the review Marek!

@@MarekDrives Sorry, I assumed @0:04 was a driveway. I was asking was the location @0.04 closer to a major city or in the country. From your video the roads look very narrow (2-lane) with tons of woodlands.

I was referring to the marketing term used by Mercedes. In Europe they call this model the A Class Limousine, and in the US the A Class Sedan (probably because of it's size).
Such a shame mercedes now use Renaults 1.3l engine and turbocharge the shipt out of it. Don't expect more than 100k miles. Ps steering padles should be for gears not brakes.
Nothing wrong with Renault engines in general; Renault knows a thing or two about making turbo engines (F1 history, cars like mid-engine Renault 5 Turbo RWD). However, this very engine is said to have pistons not quite up to the level needed for an engine that has well over 100 hp per litre. Still, with all that assistance from that 100 hp electric motor the main concern of this little powerhouse should be its refinement, not longevity.
