Just got 3 starter decks and a Ashes booster box to start, looks awesome. I wanted to get a resolution booster box but they have really gone up in price. I will have to see what all things I can find at Gen Con.
I just picked the purple precon up at a locals that I play digimon at so I am looking forward to learning and playing the game looked interesting when I first saw the kickstarter
Bought a starter and 2 boxes last summer but nobody around me had it and so I had no where to play. I think it’s starting to pop up in my part of Ontario so really hoping I can get into it. Thanks for this video! Very helpful!

My path was: I discover the game in this channel. I watched some tutorial videos. I found the print-and-play deck, and finally, I Started to import Starter decks an boxes.
I agree with you about the quality of the recollection boxes but the limited print run destroyed the chances of new players ever getting one for msrp
They are 100% subject to be reprinted. They're such a hit I'm sure we'll see more soon to alleviate that

Should note, alot of people bought Cases of these and opened them looking for the signature cards. They are selling the starters at or below msrp minus the extra packs that held those. Great way to get the decks, buy the ones they are trying to sell and recoup some loss.

Is this TCG gaining a following now? I bought a box of the first set and made a deck, but it seemed to die out pretty quick.
All of thier major events have sold out. I did a recap of their first worlds recently and how it was one of the best tcg events I've ever been to 👌
I was really lucky and got the Re:Collection Silvie for just $5 more than MSRP. I just got back into TCG's last year and this game looks so awesome! I can't wait for the reprint of Dungeon Guides coming out soon!
love the content you make you have helped me get in to the Grand Archive so to show support I just got Lightning assassin Katsumi sleeves and Grand Fantasy Red Zone Rogue/ Hanh Chu playmat. My deck I want to build is a Nico, Whiplash Allure with wind element added I feel it will add defense, control, and removal plus she adds a nice way to play dmg or mill either way you will have to answer her fast let me know what you think please and thanks guys I am new to this great game and will take any and all ideas to become a more better player ^^!
Super cool game, crazy hard to get in Canada if you don’t live in Southern Ontario. None of the local stores can source it from regular distributors and it doesn’t have enough buzz to get them to bring in stock or get table space for it, at least not around here. Wish it was easier to source so stores might take a chance on it. Not sure the Re:Collection decks are the product I’d recommend as the starter product, since they are also essentially sold out everywhere. Cool product, but hard to find and too powerful matched up against one of the other starter decks.
The Silvie ReCollection deck is still $65 on TCGPlayer and they both subject to reprints! Hopefully folks watching this a few months down the line will be able to pick them up for msrp due to them being reprinted
What do you think is the best starter deck for a new player?
I have been playing MtG for almost 20 years but I would like to try something new.
I'm not afraid of complexity, but I don't want to spend too much money right off the bat for upgrades (i.e. something that can win a few games without 4x Dungeon Guide plz 😅)
The two ReCollection decks are wonderful for new players! They're also quite strong right out of the box! If you'd like to play a Top Tier Deck without Dungeon Guides you can always try for Fire Assassin as they only level up to level 1 and just go full aggro
I dont know, but i always lose to my friends „Assasin“ deck. No matter what i play. What is a good/great counter to that specific deck? I mean in YuGiOh id kow how to play against this deck (i mainly play a Tamer deck). Sooo, what would be a good counter to the warrior or assassin deck?
I wanna try and play this game so bad. Nobody in the Baltimore or Maryland area is really playing it. Nobody is willing to try it when I ask stores. Closest store is like a hour and 15min drive
I feel your pain. My LGS does have packs and the starter decks, but I haven't been able to convince anyone else to try and pick it up. Closest store with events is two hours away.

Is this like a waifu only tcg? It's not my preference in a tcg, I like more dragons, monsters, knights and angels etc. Does it have all that or just waifus?
It's not just all waifus, it's closer to 50/50 male/female split among characters and there's other stuff too

kinda hard to preorder the mortal ambition decks here in germany :/ ill keep tryn, my wife liked our first game with those printed free decks, rules where somehow a little trickier than fab or mtg for us (mtg was kinda hard at the beginng to^^)
mh, for just playing at home, mortal ambition starter decks or the recollection decks ? and we want to try multiplayer with our daughter too haha
For just playing at home the cheaper decks will work well! The Mortal Ambition decks dont come out until Oct though

What do you mean? Multiple decks, champs and elements have been viable and have seen tournament success. Fire Merlin won Worlds but Wind just won the latest Ascent
@RedZoneRogue when it first launched Wind, was much stronger than the other 2 elements. Then, the first expansion buffed it further. It's probably made progress since then, but I wrote it off after that rough start.
I didn't pledge tons of money or have a sponsorship that kept me tied down to it.
@@deucewildegaming my YT comments be glitching out, apologies if this is a double reply. I would say Fire and Wind were about 50/50 in the games early history. If you look up the results of Ascent Houston, you'll see top 8 split right down the middle 50/50 wind and fire and top 32 was slightly more fire than wind (with a splash of water). As more sets have come out, more and more champions and deck archetypes have been meta relevant.
@Sadarac152 I agree with this. Wind and Fire have always been very strong - Water has gotten a lot of buffs over time to help
You forgot step 1: Be lucky enough to live somewhere close to a store that carries product and has weekly events.
It's the biggest downside of indie tcgs. Fortunately the community for this game is great and there's a bunch of online playgroups - for example there's a weekly group that plays every Friday in the Rogue's Gallery community Discord. I know there's folks playing all the time on the official GA Discord as well

Unfortunately Sorcery doesn't have enough affordable products to make an interesting video. The suggestion would just be to buy the $40 beta starters...and then maybe a beta box if you can afford $200 for a single booster box
