I know this is an old review but I just bought this stove. Your review is so freaking thorough and helpful. Also, your voice is so soothing, could listen to you review camping equipment all day! Thank you so much!
How you enjoying the stove (as you’re one of the newer users commenting here) Does it feel a little odd that you can’t close and cover while cooking or do you have any suggestions like putting something on top of it? I’ve also been looking for a griddle that could fit the grill side
Danielle Ward- How is that Coleman working for you? Please see the comment I left on 8-16-21. I 'm sure I will enjoy the stove, but may modify the grate with a cast iron one.
this is my first bbq stove ever, has no clue on how to set up and use it. Thank you for such a good and details review. I know how to set it up and use it now.
somehow circled back to this video several years after first watching it,. I was lead back to this channel this time from fixing my car window, originally being lead here for this review years ago 👀 small world, but that shows the quality of his videos.
Wow, I was on the fence about getting this stove but after watching your review, I am going for it. Thanks so much. You were very helpful and informative.
Thank you Vuaeco. I bought this 9922 model at a yard sale. No instructions. I called Coleman today. They emailed me a manual, but would not say much about the grate. I may replace it. I bought a nice granite stoneware double sided griddle on Amazon ($27 ) to place separately on that right hand side. Inside dimensions are 10.5 x 10.5, but it has a rim that should fit the space. I could tweak it foil. Coleman should pay you! Very good demo!
Coleman should have made an interchangeable griddle top for this stove. I have one, new in the box never used. Looking further at the reviews, a griddle top to cook on eliminates the need for a frying pan. Eggs and bacon on one side, coffee pot on the burner. They missed the potential of this stove.
They make this stove now with an ignitor. “ insta start “ great video. Definitely use a wood grill scraper and NEVER medal on this Teflon grill. Best to soak in soapy water b4 cleaning and wipe with cloth for long time use.
Excellent review of this stove...best on UA-cam! I too have this stove and have encountered a lot of flame up on the grill side. Each side is 10,000 BTU, which is extremely hot for a grill surface of this size and depth. It requires a somewhat delicate touch on the temperature control because as you point out, there's only a very short distance in the control knob between minimum and maximum output. Again, great review!
Hi, nice video. I have had this similar grill 10+ years and it has been great for us. The larger grill burner is acting up now. The flames don't seem to stay. However the side burner still works. Just to be sure, I cleaned the holes, but it did not help. Any suggestions on how to fix the grill burner?
@@samuelherman4859 Walmart Clearance section. They had approx 8 of them; figured I’d grab a couple for the price. Always looking for redundancy for camping, power-outages & off-grid cooking, etc.
This man uses a TASER to light his BBQ, LEGEND. Also I agree, your review is ridiculously on point and coleman needs to pay you! Even the new model with the the click starter still goes to maximum in less than a couple clicks...its bad.
Great review. Would have like to see what the grease trap looked like afterward, how much it holds. You did the best review covering these grills, propane attachment, and flame adjustment that I have seen. Thank you, I will buy this one.
If your not a virgo, I would love to know which sign because you are thorough & well organized and I appreciate this quality! When you pulled out the digital thermometer, I had to give you props! Saw this on sale needed the review thanks
The thing i like with coleman propane and white gas is when you turn it on high it sounds like a rocket and you can really see the heat! Do you know how many btu the burner puts out? I think the old camp stoves have 7500 on the main and 6500 on the side burner for the white gas ones.
HOW DO YOU LIKE THIS GRILL.I NEED ONE AN AMAZON REVIEWS REPORTED MELTING OR SOMETHING. IVE READ SO MANY REVIEWS IM EXHAUSTED .MY TJME IS RUNNING OUT.SORRY ABOUT CAPPS IM TIRED MY CANT SEE WELL 😴
Great video review, pretty angry that all these camp stove videos dont explain removing the propane tank as well as just the cleaning of the grill and overall experience. good video.
Paul Neumann I hate the damn thing. I expected something carrying the Coleman name to be solid. Instead I had it as low as it would go and still burnt the right knob off and melted the rubber feet that were already sitting too low to the ground. It was sitting on a slab of wood on my porch and almost set the damn house on fire. I wouldn’t feel right selling it to someone for $5. It’s junk. Maybe good for boiling water if you want to take the risk of starting a forest fire.
Great review. For a camping grill, personally I don't want to have to scrub a messy grate, grill, and grease trap every time. I'd rather do a cheap-o $20 walmart charcoal grill and just wash the grate & chuck the coals.
I prefer the taste of charcoal cooking too, but propane is cleaner and faster, not to mention the safe disposal of ash and hot charcoal when your done.
Imazing review good job I've recently just purchased this and wanted to see how it works I wish you would have done a normal piece of steak or fish LOL but still fun review none the less
I read many reviews about the grill melting. I swear I'm starting to believe in eugenics. Coleman provides a separate burner but stupid people insist on putting pans on the grill then complaining when it melts.
I bought one from a friend but it's missing the grill for the left burner and my grease plate was stolen while in my apt basement and if you know where I can get a replacement please let me know. I tried Coleman but not sure about their answer. also I use my 20 lb tank on this for camping it makes life so much easier than having to buy 5 1lb bottles. one more thing as my stove is a much older one in blue it has the button to spark that flame
I am looking to purchase an extended hose for the 1lb propane bottle. I have this coleman but it does not fit on my tailgate table with the connection included. Is there a adapter that would allow me to have a 5ft hose attachment?
Did you check to see if there was anything in that drip tray under the grill...? I don't think I would be turning the whole unit upside down after cooking with it as if there is some juices in the drip tray it will spill all over the place.....? Something to be careful of? I feel there are a few things not too good about this unit, the small saucepan is good but a larger one is a problem, flipping down that side panel is going to hinder the flame if it is windy out...? And the grill I think I would us a frying pan on top rather than cooking directly onto of the grill....? Just my two cents worth! TFS
I really want to buy this grill, but I have seen A LOT of reviews where the grill melts... I cannot tell if it is from user errors or if the grill material is just cheap. Anyone have any insight?
How about putting a 10 or 12 inch cast iron skillet on the grill side? Would it melt the aluminum grill plate? If anybody knows. Please enlighten us your knowledge. Before its to late...
I think use the 2 burner stove and get a grill cast irom pan for the same results. Propane adds no flavor and look at the mess. The grill grate is cast iron with teflon coat?? Good review but i will stick wit my 2 burner 425b i bought on offer up for $15 and buy a grill pan or use my cast iron pan i already have.
Wrong, this model is better - more versatile. I have a Bass Pro brand dual burner & I use the Coleman one burner with grill top way more often. Use a sheet of aluminum foil over the grill and less mess.
Coleman should pay you for this amazing review.
Coleman, are you listening? I need another job! :D

Thumbs down for the Spanish accent.
This is one of the most concise and informative reviews I've seen in a long time. Excellent job!!!
I have watched so many reviews for this grill, yours is by far the best when it comes to telling about the grease tray. Thanks
Best review on UA-cam for this stove
The single best review on UA-cam. I watch this review for fun
I really appreciate reviews like this, not rushed and very detailed. I just bought this stove and glad I did after seeing this
Did you just use a taser to light up the stove?
this is my first bbq stove ever, has no clue on how to set up and use it. Thank you for such a good and details review. I know how to set it up and use it now.

Thank you for posting this detailed video! It actually helped me figure out how to use my new portable grill of a different brand.

Try Waloo grill mats liners, to protect the grill, they are washable, you can cut them to size!

Thanks for the excellent review. Have you tried heating a cast iron griddle instead of grilling directly on the grill to avoid the mess?
Great review. Would have like to see what the grease trap looked like afterward, how much it holds. You did the best review covering these grills, propane attachment, and flame adjustment that I have seen. Thank you, I will buy this one.
Very thorough review! The Walmart Ozark Trail version of this is on sale right now and I'm thinking about picking it up.

Excellent product review. I wish Coleman would replace the teflon grill with a cast iron or steel grill.
That was a great detailed review, thank you.
Thanks for this review. There were no instructions with my new 2-in-1 grill stove in the box. It sounds like you live in the south! :)
great little grill. I use mines at the drag strip.
How's the grill holding up 4:10 many ppl have complained it melted on them.
Good work detail review of actual usual not novist. love the Vietnamese American accent

I like it, only downsize is it's size is quite big. I'm switching to something small and portable.
I heard the grill will melt under certain conditions.
Yes it will.
Isn’t that a bad thing for a grill?!

Great video, I have the same grill, and you are correct about the knobs, they are very sensitive!
Much needed review! Thank you for the detailed analysis.
Excellent review, very clear and answered all my questions. Well done.
any problems with the grill so far?
Good review - but the flaps are to block the wind - not "food trays"

thanks for the review..how about that recipe for the beef..that looked so good and easy to make when camping
It's very easy. I just dip them in Teriyaki sauce and that's it!
I read many reviews about the grill melting. I swear I'm starting to believe in eugenics.
Coleman provides a separate burner but stupid people insist on putting pans on the grill then complaining when it melts.
Did your stove come with bolts to attach the legs? Mine didn't not come with any.
Thanks for the excellent demonstration 🙂
Great review with relevant details, thank you :)
Did he light the bbq with a taser?
Great review!!! Excellent touch by actually cooking on it
can use charcoal on the grill ?

I like your idea of using a 20 lb tank. What / where did you get an adapter?
I am looking to purchase an extended hose for the 1lb propane bottle. I have this coleman but it does not fit on my tailgate table with the connection included. Is there a adapter that would allow me to have a 5ft hose attachment?
i seen reviews of people's grill melting, how does that happen? are there ways to avoid it?
Excellent review! I appreciate you very much.

How does the food taste off the grill?
Don’t forget to foil the stove with aluminum paper because the stove with the time it will be messy..
Great review bud! Very thorough! Have you noticed any loss in pressure on the burner side when you have both sides fired up at the same time?
The grill side would make a great burner for a small still.
Good job in explaining everything. Thank you !
