Have you shot this bow and the rvx side by side im wondering if this one is a little bit quieter and less vibration cause it is made with a more standard aluminum where the prime flagship bows use a stiffer aluminum witch is where some of there noise and vibration comes from
Shoots and holds just as good as my Revex 34" bow. At first, I thought it was also just a new name put on last year's bow, but the riser is different. The Ronan riser only has the curve on top, not the bottom like the Revex. So they saved money there. I think it shoots just as nice though.
Love this your review and all of them. You’re one of the best ones to do it. I think this is going to be my 2024 bow. Upgrading from a bear but not quite ready for a $1300 bow.
I ended up going with the prime ronan as a new archer. Shot everything from mathew, hoyt, darton, bear, elite and bowtech. Prime drew smooth, felt good in hand. Don't know much about anything else, I just went off those 2 things being new.
the problem with wanting to buy a new bow for me is if i want to test a bow i am interested in i have to drive t like 5 different shops to test different bows. no shop carries what you want and always go.. we can order it.. lancaster is like a 4 hour drive for me and i did it for my boys but it was a PAIN.
I think the test you do on these are great but have you thought about getting a 350 grain arrow to shoot through the crono to compare to their advertised speeds?
I have a Whitetail Maxx and it's a great bow, probably the best bow on the market in the pricerange. I've had it a couple.months now. I have a NOS Prime Inline on the way to me now as well.
@@BackyardBows I mean is it it worth going to the higher model over the Ronan or is really the only main difference the intergrate stuff and the waves in the riser? Like shooting side by side is there a noticeable difference that would make you move up to the higher model? Sucks about quest i really thought prime was going to keep it going.. New bow prices are outrageous.. Has levi Morgan got any better with the bow of now compared to bows of past
Now affordable to some is not affordable to many. I could not afford that now and you call it affordable. I do like that grip. I am an older shooter and miss so much the days of old when every bow had three different grips with it. All usually walnut or zebra wood. Now most have a freezing cold metal riser of one shape and we have e have different hands. I could afford a good bow back in the day, but I see everyone pricing themselves into extinction. They had better be careful with those high priced bows, as only the rich and famous can afford one. This is happening to everything from bows to guns to golf clubs. It’s getting insane.
I feel like sound measurements can be grossly inaccurate (nothing you’re doing differently than anyone else, so not aimed at you guys). I feel like the sound of the arrow hitting the target is just as loud, if not sometimes louder than the actual bow itself.. and all these reviews (from multiple channels) test sound inside from a close range where the decibel meter is likely picking up the target as well. Just difficult to tell if the peak coming from the bow, or the arrow hitting the target. If the measurement was done at say 40-50 yards, you know it would be the bow noise, not the target noise
We do what we can I move the target outside the garage and put about 20 yards away I think there is enough variance to show it’s not the target but I could be wrong, it’s what we have got the momemt maybe will do outside one day and compare
@@BackyardBows that makes a lot of sense! it might help your viewers to explain where the target is when you do the sound tests. just my $0.02. love the content!

These prime bows are coming up way short on their speeds! Stop lying about your speeds please. Not all of us chase speed anyway! Give me smooth and accurate
I also prefer accuracy over speed all day long. I have spent a life outshooting guys with fast bows while mine looks like my arrows or lobbed in but they cannot shoot as many C rings as I can. Give me a slow accurate bow any day of the week that is comfortable to hold at full draw without worrying about my shoulders getting yanked out every time I want to let down. Too many speed bows have that bad issue. Too many guys thinking with testosterone instead of their brain.
