What a difference the paint has made. All of that blue painter's tape - UGH. I especially love the tile. The 800 ah of Battleborn - awesome. Kudos to you both!!
@@IreneIronTravels I was guestimating in my head that it was an easy day. However, the painting does go faster after that. And, there is a sense of satisfaction when you pull the tape off!
Kiddos-Looks so good! Love the paint color choice, the teal and chevron backsplashes and the epic lithium set-up. Bravo on all the hard work. What is it with RV manufacturers and their apparent love of muddy colored walls? Blech! My favorite part of the video was seeing you two beaming. Fantastic. You so deserve it after your summer tent-camping odyssey.👏😎🤘
You did a beautiful job!!!!! The white paint makes a huge difference. The two backsplash areas turned out perfectly, even though the work was tedious and time consuming. I love your new home! Your ability to keep going and get the job done is commendable. May you enjoy your new home in good health for many years to come.
Wow! Looks fantastic painted! I agree with painting….who wants 20 shades and multiple layers of brown?! It looks brighter, bigger and cleaner with your color choices. Hope you get the chance to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor soon!
I really like the way it turned out. Outdoor RV should offer white walls as a option. I would have removed the side valances as well. My cruiser RV has that dark tan wallpaper and I am afraid to try and paint it.
we had the same type of wall paper in our Aspen Trail. We were able to easily paint over it without a problem, just make sure you use primer and 2 coats of paint.
LOVE IT!!! Great job!!! It is amazing how much the paint and back splash changed the entire look of the trailer! Love your color/design choices! Great work on the batteries!!! Chris, your sweater looks very nice! So excited for the two of you!!!
Totally agree, any new home requires personal touches that tiling and painting provide. Absolutely amazing work. Impressive RV upgrades with Battle Born system. I’ve learned so much from both of you!
It looks so nice. I am sure you are thrilled it is over, and so glad you did it right away before anything was moved in. I can’t wait to see the full video of the prep/paint steps and see how the paint holds up. Congratulations on a beautiful job.
Wow, great updates. We actually ordered our bus with all white painted wood and white upholstery, which made everything so nice. We love it. We would definitely do something like this if needed. Great job.
Looks great. The paint really brightens up the space compared to the sea of brown. That space under the bed looks like it was made for the batteries, super clean install.
Love the color it looks crisp and clean and larger! Great idea for the color pop in the bathroom. Love the kitchen backsplash as well. You two did a great job! Cute outtakes too!
My favorite UA-camrs and my favorite RV. You guys are doing all the upgrades I would do to an ORV too. What a huge improvement! Super stoked to watch all your upgrades on your new home.
To remodel your new travel trailer was totally up to you. I would not have repainted it until the walls actually needed it. The backsplashes in the bathroom and kitchen are nice. I recommend that you consider installing some wood trim at the end of the counters to hide where the wall paint didn't adhere to the caulking. The battery upgrade was a good idea, but the cost isn't conducive to most people who are unable to establish a business relationship with the battery manufacturer to advertise their products.
Painting definitely made it look so mush nicer and the backsplash’s really makes it feel like home and not just a TT. I really like those GC3 batteries much neater look great job!
Looking good! We painted the main living area of our TT with an off white grey tone paint as well. We painted our wood as well, and painted the lower cabinets grey. We deleted our valances and added curtains. A lot of work but well worth it.
Your new RV looks great and its neat the way you have redone it to make it your own. It was smart to do that work before your moved everything in. The electrical system upgrades look like they will be a great investment tor going off grid and boondocking. Looks like great outdoor living adventures ahead with many more comforts to enjoy. Great work!
Worth every cent...and all the sweat you put into it! Great choice of color. Hum, I guess I now have a "new" project in mind for summer 2022...oh boy, I have to stop watching UA-cam videos ;-) Great job you two! Looks amazing!
It looks AMAZING. Totally worth all the effort you put in. Love the white color you chose and the backsplash really elevates the whole look. Excited to see where you will head to first. 😍🎉
The gallery white did bring out the contrast of the wood trim. Also the bathroom tile worked great too. The bloopers at the end were pretty funny - nice touch.
Love the paint job and all the other work. Would definitely consider painting ours white. We also had the toilet moved forward 6 - 9 inches at the factory when ordering it and requested a couch instead of a dinette.
Looks great, would have never thought about paint or the valance mod. That must give you so much room. Backsplash makes it home. Solar and batteries are what I have in mind also. Great job
I love the warm white that complements and opens up the space, beautiful. I am in love with your bathroom, love the backsplash you chose. I wish I had patience for painting, I would love to brighten our place. Thanks so much for sharing!!! Looking forward to the detail videos.
Wow that was great. I was looking forward to your next video to see how you’re doing in your new home! That hard work paid off, it looks even more amazing. I know what hard work these type of DYI projects can be, and also the great feeling of satisfaction and reward when each job is complete. You both did a great job. Super impressed with the battery system. Congratulations, you two. You deserve it!

i seen in a video that when you have the flex panels on the roof, when they heat up from the sun they can damage the roof due to no cooling under the panel and depending on the material can cause cracking. Also it would be cool to see a trip to the cat scales after you are done with the mods.
Oh, geese, thanks for the tip. I'll have Aaron look into that! We did jump on a cat scale the other day and I think Aaron will be sharing more on our weight and those details in future videos to come!
So right! When they fail.....not too long of time....you will probably tear your roof taking them off to switch to rigid panels. Do it right, right off.....no regrets that way :) I have 65 years of mistakes and lessons learned the hard way LOL!!!

What a wonderful upgrade! It’s amazing how much light you brought in with the paint job and the backsplashes look professionally installed. We have looked at other RVs and they all have that dark cabinetry, we are so lucky with our light colored cabinets, it really makes a huge difference, good job and those lithium batteries are insane, so cool!

Great video. Very cool upgrades. The lighter painted walls just changed the whole look of your space and the solar power system will be great when completed. I would never have fooled with those chevron backing tiles in the kitchen but in the end that is a good look. I have a friend who has had two or three travel trailers. Wow! That's a big difference, I like it a whole lot and I am going mine for sure. One think I always wanted to paint are the cabinets so it will be a whole lot of work but worth it in the end but the for me the brown has to go. Great job guys.
I am so glad to find you. We bought a 2021 Backcountry 24RKS in July. We love the trailer, but I hate all the brown. I can't wait to paint the wallpaper and put up back splashes in the bathroom and the kitchen. I am a bit nervous about how to work around the shower stall though. There is a 1 - 1.5 inch gap between the shower stall glass wall and the trailer wall. I'm either going to have to live with that or get the courage to pull that shower glass panel out. Congrats!
Wow, love the colors you chose for the inside. It has made such a difference. I was not thrilled with ORV's color choices at first look, and had not considered that painting was an option. We just ordered our 25RDS, so you have given us some great ideas! Congrats on taking the plunge and being brave to change it up!
Absolutely love the changes and white walls with the new backsplash!! Outdoor RV should have these options. So happy for your new home set up and can’t wait to follow along on your travels. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
I love you guys, have learned so much from you and your experiences in the van,,I will continue in my 21 foot Chinook as a solo traveler, but continue to absorb your knowledge. I too painted the entire interior and cabinets in my rig,,took me a month, but wow so worth it,,hope to never do it again though!! LOL
Love the paint color, it brightened everything beautifully. The backsplash in bathroom & kitchen look great! I bet you are really looking forward to getting on the road. Safe travels
Well darn, I am all caught up. I just watched all of your latest videos. This is my first comment ever on UA-cam. You guys made that happen. Started by loving your Tremor as I have now ordered one!! I built my travel trailer from a clean slate enclosed trailer. Love what you are doing. Keep it coming. Some are excited to see you tow with that tremor. Sounds boring, but I love that stuff.
Hey Dane! 👋 thanks for making your first UA-cam comment. Honored! Congrats on the tremor order, you'll love it. Our next video is on our RV pickup day, pdi, and first impressions towing, so I think you'll like that one. We have horrible upload speeds so the video has been processing for 2 days now! Should be ready tonight!
I personally would have put the main switch for the DC on the negative side of the batteries. Its always good practice to disconnect the negative from the power source first. Also connect the negative side last. I definitely like the updates you are doing. Looking good.
Amazing! It truly looks fantastic! And kudos to you for having the patience to do it. That is a HUGE project! Wow!! That wallpaper was truly hideous. I know manufacturers are trying to go neutral...but that was so busy and ew!
This turned out so good! I'm curious to know how it holds up. That white looks amazing with the wood....and your bathroom turned out so amazingly! 😍 In love with how good this looks. Great work!
The changes make it look even more amazing! The Valance side might have helped with insulation factor but it does look better without them! Nice Job! Maybe you two can do a set intro including The Who is Irene???
Yes, the side valances helped with insulation and also for 100% blackout. We shine a tad of light through at night, but still chose to go this route after weighing against those losses.
Hello Chris and Aaron. Wow….your hard work is really paying off. Your trailer looks tremendous! Chris…..that lonnnggg, tedious prepping and painting is fabulous. And…..awesome job on the back splashes. The teal bathroom section can be your mobile Cape Hatteras/Outer Banks escape! Aaron….your solar install looks really impressive. I remember you describing the game changer batteries earlier and I was thinking “ hmmmm….I hope that stuff fits”. Hehehe. Of course it fits….you are on your 3rd install. That is an impressive amp hour capacity. You two will be able to deep fry apple fritters every day and still have plenty of juice left. I have been generally thinking 4 100ah batteries in that space under the bed. The more I see your compartment, the more I am thinking I may as well do a 5th or so because any way you look at it, that under bed space is going to be packed. And….with the battle born sale going on, you can basically get 5 for the price of 4 batteries. Safe travels!
Hi Alan!! Thanks for all of the kind words. Deep fried apple fritters, yum!! We definitely have some experimenting to do with the air fryer. Love the bathroom being called the Outer Banks escape! We like your way of thinking with those batteries. You're right, you may as well maximize the space usage under the bed and take advantage of the summer sale! Keep us posted on delivery and everything.
Looks awesome especially the backsplashes.Love to use the blue painters tape but I find it makes.invites you to use more paint in the tape areas then need be!
That's a really great point. I was probably a little heavy with the paint in areas that I shouldn't have been! I need to keep that in mind when I do another big painting project (hopefully not for another decade) 😂
Well done! Makes me wish our 26KVS wasn’t so far out but it’ll be worth the wait. Hadn’t really thought about paint and backsplashes too much but now I’m interested. And really good to see what will fit under the bed. Thanks and can’t wait for more updates!
When is your 26KVS due for delivery? Sometimes the wait is painful! Glad to hear you are inspired to put some custom touches on your new rig once you get it. Keep us posted!
@@IreneIronTravels We don't have an estimated production schedule yet; the best I can get is "March or later." We could've gone with a 25RDS and had it sooner, but we decided we liked the 26KVS and are willing to wait longer. I'm actually making a road trip to OR next week to meet the dealer, and do some exploring/fly fishing on the way home; maybe they'll have more information. BTW, I'll also be very interested to hear your thoughts on the Andersen WDH. Thank you!
@@IreneIronTravels Yep, the kitchen won the household CEO/chef over. We also like the large shower, the bathroom split across the coach and the trash "chute." Thanks!
Nice update you two. I am all for customizing the look and feel on ones RV (home). It is really a no brainer. The paint job and color selection looks really good. Looks like you will have a super boondocking rig with this electrical update happening. Take care you two!
Thank you so much, Brad. Super Boondocking rig in the making! We are looking forward to having it parked somewhere for the full 14-days, to see how our new limits can be maximized!

It was really fun to pick out the backsplashes, and it also felt like we were picking a college 😂 But, we are happy with the ones we went with!
Love the paint color, it brightened everything beautifully. The backsplash in bathroom & kitchen look great! I bet you are really looking forward to getting on the road. Safe travels
We are out on the road now again and it is a dream come true. 🖤🎉
That was great! You did nail it! Excellent job on all of it!
Thank you so much 😀
It all looks great. Those batteries are going to be amazing! Good job!
LOOKS GREAT!!! the last video and this one you can really hear a "laugh" in Aarons voice...hes a happy camper!
Aaron is a happy camper. Happy to report we are both on Cloud-9!!!
Looks awesome, love the updates
Thanks, Bill. We will keep them coming!
I liked my trailer exactly like it is, no changing anything.
😃👍
I personally would have put the main switch for the DC on the negative side of the batteries. Its always good practice to disconnect the negative from the power source first. Also connect the negative side last. I definitely like the updates you are doing. Looking good.
Hey, Jerry. Thanks for the tip! We appreciate the feedback, as well as your support! 🖤
Big job. Nice work. Absolutely beautiful. What’s next. Thank you for sharing this interesting video with me. BS & BK
Thanks for watching Larry!
Very nice.:) I like your color choices and the choice of back splash in both the bath and kitchen.
Thank you so much!! We picked some good ones, in the end!
This is reference (ie encyclopedia) level content. Thank you.
Amazing! It truly looks fantastic! And kudos to you for having the patience to do it. That is a HUGE project! Wow!! That wallpaper was truly hideous. I know manufacturers are trying to go neutral...but that was so busy and ew!
Thx for this video! We too have a 50 Shades of brown RV and we have looking to paint the interior. Thx again!
Looks awesome! Happy for you two🤩. Love the ending lol‼️
Thank you. Aaron is always making me smile :) (Chris)
This turned out so good! I'm curious to know how it holds up. That white looks amazing with the wood....and your bathroom turned out so amazingly! 😍 In love with how good this looks. Great work!
Thanks a ton 💘
The changes make it look even more amazing! The Valance side might have helped with insulation factor but it does look better without them! Nice Job! Maybe you two can do a set intro including The Who is Irene???
Yes, the side valances helped with insulation and also for 100% blackout. We shine a tad of light through at night, but still chose to go this route after weighing against those losses.
The upgrades look great. Love paint and backsplash.
Thanks, David. The paint and backsplash turned out to be a home run! ⚾️
Great job! Love all the changes and really great choices.
Thanks 😊
Thank you!
Nice , enjoy the trip! Love the kitchen in the 26ķvs for sure! We'll update on the WDH when we get some more time with it. So far so good 👍
@@IreneIronTravels Yep, the kitchen won the household CEO/chef over. We also like the large shower, the bathroom split across the coach and the trash "chute." Thanks!
Looks amazing. Love the lighter color and the bathroom backsplash is very pretty!
Thanks, Rachel. We are happy with how it turned out!
