Discipline and cramps pretty much got the best of the Drua in the last 15-20 minutes, at least they now know what the rush defense is like prior to hosting the Crusaders in Lautoka as their first kiwi opposition of the season.
Drua are evolving but they do need some better management in the sense of sub rotations for fatigued players, abit of discipline even in the face of losing you still go your all. What we are seeing is what we all witnessed when Argentina came to the rugby championship for its first time they weren't there an ready for such a high level of rugby and as yeats have progressed have become a formidable team that is up there with the top teams of the world..n Drua can get there also if they commit to it and find that drive..its one thing to be a sensation team its another to consistently hold that through every game you play
Yes very true indeed, I thank Aussie Rugby and NZ Rugby for accepting the Pacific Teams Moana and Drua to participate in the Super Rugby Pacific as it’s now called.” A True Pacifica Spirit”
How many yellows were in this game? The highlights are terrible if they don't include something as important as cards. 5:00 how the heck did it end up 15v13?
Looks like one of the front row got a yellow card and could not be replaced for some reason. So scrums went uncontested, which means another player has to go off as a penalty for that.
It's odd isn't it. Sometimes cards make a highlights reel but they seem to go out of their way not to show negatives, and for many that's essentially being dishonest
Discipline, fitness, structural play both attacking and defending. That's a long list of stuff to get right this season for the Drua. And never show your stuff during preseason. It is just that, warming up games.Just get them bodies warmed up and ready. Deception is key.
Sorry to change the subject, I know this is Pacific but will Sth Africa or Argentina ever get included in the competition or is it now decided that it stays separate.
Very well. But salute to the Drua team. If you can recall, south african teams like cheetahs and lions, they were loosing during their 2nd year of super rugby fanchise. Bottom of table even for aussie teams. All teams learn and it takes time to be a champion. They are developing team. Just a thought
Lack of vision from the drua number 10. When he sees rushing defence there was space at the back at least kick and let the wingers chase. Down to experience and composure. They had no idea on how to counter
Rush defence by the waratahs got the drua real bad....crusaders will do the same....already they know that against fijian teams kick to the corner and score from mauls.....the day Fijian teams learn to stop a maul, they'll be hard to beat
We manage to stop the Waratahs maul, but we can learn something from the Waratahs rush defence which is the main part of the game. It is not about scoring tries only defence can also help win games just like what the Tahs did last night.
@@kaiuluitova6369 totally agree...some rush defense were questionable....also the last penalty to the tahs for offside was wrong....no Drua players were offside...
Drua were doing well until all the penalties, cards and losing players in the last 20 mins. Their lineout improved a from last year, but they need to contest the opposition throws more, gave them too much easy ball.
When do the Australia teams play our NZ teams the only games I want to watch then I can see what Eddie got for his Australia team see how he the ARU rugby god going to win the World Cup or is this a lie 😮
Fitness/stamina, line outs and ball handling. Drua dropped their discipline once their stamina waned in the 2nd half. Everything's there for them to smash it they just need some intense training on their stamina, more work on their line out and ball handling skills. Drua's defence was excellent but their poor stamina in the 2nd half let them down. 1. Stamina/fitness. 2. Lineouts. 3. Ball handling skills (Passing & catching from breakdown play).
Discipline and cramps pretty much got the best of the Drua in the last 15-20 minutes, at least they now know what the rush defense is like prior to hosting the Crusaders in Lautoka as their first kiwi opposition of the season.
Drua getting things together slowly. Like so many said, started well then Tahs just strangled it in the end. Good match.
Drua have so much potential, let down by discipline & fatigue.
With the Drua it's just that professionalism they're slowly learning as it's clear as day they've got the talent it's just they have to refine it
Good 1st half by Drua, warattahs changed tactics in 2nd half changed the game and so did the 13 v 15 10min game was when they scored 3 or 3 tries.
That Waratah kicker is bloody good and number 12 the 18 year old what a game at his age.
So...no one is gonna speak on the greatness of the Tash flyhalf.. wow..just wow..
Yeah Tash is great.

How do you omit the cards in the second half that turned a close match into a spanking?! The lost art of “highlights.”
Speaking of cards, ref and touch judges must have been visibly impaired to the Tahs above the shoulder tackles.
It's odd isn't it. Sometimes cards make a highlights reel but they seem to go out of their way not to show negatives, and for many that's essentially being dishonest
Can Drua have a refresher session on how to pass a rugby ball accurately?
True... especially the passes at goes above the head which is quite risky. Well thats how we play in the islands.
Can the Maori boys win without the palagis.....😂😂😂
The score line definitely doesn’t reflect how competitive this was for the first two thirds of the game. The Drua will not be an easy win this year.
what a helluva game
Enjoyable to the last second ~ GREAT STUFF⁉️⁉️👊🔥

Always liked Harris but Gleeson lookin the goods 👌
Maybe look into Lachie at lock 🤔
4 Swinton
5 Holloway
6 Harris
7 Hooper
8 Gleeson
Hannigan (eventually) and Gamble give good bench cover.
@@JustNate365 I like that set up a lot.
Drua coaches must find a way to increase their players' discipline and stamina. Got the talent but lack discipline and structure
Drua first try variation is good
Waratahs went all out in that 2nd half!!!
The kava kicked in before the plan went walk-about.
🤣
🤣
what do you do in case of rush defenses? watch the skilled nrl teams - they would blow the Waratahs out of the park..
Drua no match for Waratahs. No structure or technical ability to close games, we need some expertise players in some roles to mould a solid lineup.
Train hard to be one of them🤣🖕🏻

Drua played really well in the 1st half but they their own worst enemy on 2nd..
THEY ARE NOT CLEAR ON THE COUNTRIES ,,, WONDERING WHY... I THINK AMERICANS WOULD FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS SPORT ...
What a game drua nice one
They got pumped tho
Well done Drua , considering that this only your 2nd season
How many games was played at this ground? Still looked dead and I’ve seen like 4-5 games
Rush defence by the waratahs got the drua real bad....crusaders will do the same....already they know that against fijian teams kick to the corner and score from mauls.....the day Fijian teams learn to stop a maul, they'll be hard to beat
Agree. However one way they could pacify the mauls would be to not compete at defensive mauls and just focus on defense.
They did manage to stop the Tahs mauls, just need work on not collapsing when they do

Stop the panic for Drua, it’s the start of the season it’ll all play out
Exactly, it's only their first loss of the season
The tries are at a premium if you’re New South Wales Waratahs. 🇦🇺🏉

Drua too much kava the night before the match? 👀😂🤣🤣
Kava??👀 Nah mate those must be your Gramps and unc's smackin a bowl🙄 hehe😅
Why are they all being played in the one stadium
Because rugby Australia is trying hard to grow the game in Melbourne. They call it Super Round
Great game by drua in the first half but warahtahs bench had more depth/experience and that was drua's downfall in the second half...
Super ❤️ game 🎯💮🌸🔥 waratahs ❤️
Change the drua full back..
Vinaka drua
Drua #17 looks like he was scared to tackle. I just turned off the game and now just to see what was the final score on this highlights
He had a psychological battle, good test to overcome it.
