- Definitely take a look the masterclass I made with Ian on how to start jamming on guitar:
www.udemy.com/course/how-to-j...
Going over the very simplest way to start thinking about playing lead or writing solos. Just simplify what chord you're playing over and find out where those notes exist on other parts of the neck. Simple, varied chord voicings and scales are all you need!

A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his UA-cam channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.
Sean probably some the best lessons I have found on UA-cam. I’m a retired NYPD Sergeant who has picked up guitar at age 57. Smaller hands but I’m practicing at least 1 hour a day or more for the last 5 months. I have Epiphone les Paul custom pro, a LTD KH602 and a Yamaha Acoustic. 5150 EVH 40w tube amp. So keep up the great work making my journey easier
So happy you’re finding the vids helpful! Keep up the good work yourself!
Man, I'm 60, always dreamed about learning guitar!
@@swordfire7771it’s never too late! Probably easy for me to say at 16 after already playing for 5 years, but honestly learning guitar is one of the best things you can do, and it feels so bloody rewarding once you start actually being able to play and put things together, you should definitely give it a go!
Learning guitar? Wait don’t touch that skip button... this will change is everything... skips
savage!
This is going to change your life
Man look these dudes make money from idiots who are desperate to play guitar is easy once you learn the basics and the with power chords you can play any song but it will take practice obviously and anyone can shred decently but what's important and what's really cool about guitar is it doesn't matter what sounds good to other people it's what sounds good to you how your playing makes you feel about it and how good it sounds
Every f*cking time😂
Same
Probably the most underrated channel ever on UA-cam

Trying to learn SOLO, I find this, and now I can follow almost any song (not perfectly though) after barely half an hour! this is awesome!!!
One of the best intro into basics I’ve seen . Concise and no waffling on. Thanks mate
Another great lesson Sean! And a good example of how solo, improve really comes from the chord tones. The more chord voicings we learn, the the more scales we learn.
This is amazing. This is probably the greatest explaination out there, please make this a series
How to play songs g minor key
I
I just love the EXPLANATION OFkeeping it simple and Targeting the triads of the chords and using relative min...Great building blocks here...Thanks..this really helps !!!
“Probably the two most popular chords of all time”
Em: “Am I a joke to you?”
First chords in learned: D Major and E Minor
Am:"joke to you?"
You mean Em i a joke to you
Yes
You legend Sean! You make the connections between chord play and hitting notes at various spots on the fret board so visual and fun. Got my loop pedal and can’t wait to jam tomorrow with the Masterclass. Thanks mate 👍
That's awesome! Another simple breakdown that any listener can take anywhere. Badass man
Happy to help!
Thanks man. I'm at the stage where I've been practicing different scales for a while & I'm just starting to solo over backing tracks. I pretty much knew all the stuff you talked about in the video. This just put it all together in a way that just clicked. I appreciate it. Keep on keepin on.
Happy to help! Keep rockin!
I like this. This is some good tips on clearing the mystery on these riffs the pros basically use when they started.
what you explain is really helpful and the way you explain is unmatchable. Content is deep and is really helpful. Thank you
That's a very cool little snippet of lead insight. Even I can understand that - and actually make interesting things with it. 😄
Happy to help Ralph!
Hey Sean thanks after watching so many videos I finally got a better introduction to the house of blues pattern to this video with the slide the major third and then towards the root again. Thanks again I really appreciate your videos
Thanks so much !
@@seandaniel23 Hey Sean today was a great day for me man I didn't really used much of what I saw in the video but I tell you this guy on six string country channel did a walkthrough once that I was practicing for a little while man now that I've been pleased with my solos from today I'll start practicing your pattern now to improvise on what I did today bro thanks again!
You deserve a BIG THUMBS UP. Very straight forward teaching.
Good idea. Thinking in terms of 2 chords at a time helps to simplify. In a 1 4 5 progression as you move from the 1 -> 4 or 4 -> 5 or 5 to 1 focus on each pair if you know the song well. But, rely on the pentatonic or scale of the key if you are unfamiliar with the song structure.
AGAIN THATS REALY NICE AND AWESOME LEAD ON GUITAR AND PRETTY EASY THANKS SEAN FOR THESE LESSONS
Good stuff. Will take the Master Class when I can devote the time to it. Thanks for sharing as always!

Im struggling doing vibrato, when i return my fingers after vibrato it always hit the top strings and makes different sounds, what should i do?
Thanks, I appreciate the lesson.
Happy to help!
Awesome video, mate.
Thanks Daniel 👌
Awesome video! Going to give it a try Today!
Rock it out!
Loved your guitar bro
I like that sound 😁👌 impressive
Great instructional from beginner to intermediate guitar player.
Another way to think of why the e minor shape works over the G chord is because it's the same as G major pentatonic. Same with the a minor over C chord cuz its C major pentatonic.
So that’s what its called: “a looper pedal✅” - Thanks for this Lesson🎸🎸🎸
Thank yu for the lesson, always wanted to know how to play a lead guitar....💞
Thanks brother helps a lot!!
This is really helpful. Thanks
Love it...from Scotland
This helped so much! Explains the "King Box" and why it works - it is the major scale. Add the minor pentatonic in the relative minor. Rinse and repeat for the IV and V. It all clicks! Thank you!
Excellent way you explain ,so clear good Jo b
For anyone to get anything out of this video, they'd have to know scales, the notes that make up each cord and the root notes, all the notes on the fretboard, scales, etc.. "The easiest way to start playing lead on guitar". You're a great guitar teacher...for advanced guitarists. I think what would help a lot would be if you started out your videos with a list of things you expect people to know already. And if someone knows all that already, they won't need your video.
Wow never thought of playin in that way thanks
amigo your so good thanx
Hello brother it's Sharoon Daniel ❤
Love it Great Job 👍🏼 I'll support you ❤️
Thank You Brother
Dude thanks! Subbed!

So happy to help!
Thank you sir
In the mind of Sean , oh yeah!
You know it!
Wow I just learned a lot thank you! +1 sub
I love your mixture thanks 👍
Thanks man
Thank you so much
Made excellent sense. Which, considering a year ago that content would have gone straight over my head a crashed in flames taking hordes of innocent school children with it. Something I can now use to piece all the disjointed skills I've acquired together into a single concept. Cool Bananas.
A question: I have a looper in my Boss GT-1, and amps for my electric in various flavours and strengths, I'm presuming you are looping into an amp, would that be an acoustic amp?
One time - at band camp - I plugged my acoustic into a normal guitar amp and was almost blasted into orbit with the feedback.
Good call. I'm actually looping it into my Bose Compact. So it's a PA, which is essentially an acoustic amp.
wow thanks I'm watching I want to learn
2 seconds into the video. Liked and Subscribed 😁
Yah man thanks so much
Does anyone have a list of the best (known & lesser-known) guitar/rockband songs from 60s to 90s?
Awesome thank you for sharing😊
thanks for literally making some of the most helpful guitar videos on youtube I guess
Thanks so much for saying so!
so good thank you so much
Sliding from the 3rd into the root note... that's the most recognizable part of Cassidy by the Grateful Dead ;)
I must've picked it up from Ian
@@seandaniel23 lol he actually made a video about it too :)
Sean Daniel also, I graduated from GVSU and practice guitar in my store in Standale!
Thank you Paul Rudd for this useful information, I'm obliged :))
Happy to help!
Thanks Bro!
Happy to help!
Wow! very ² helpfull bro
Thank you sir
You the man.
Thanks so much!
As a beginner tune your strings first😁 and you can start practicing chords
:)
Excellent
I know most of the pentatonic scale shapes .. just don't know where the roots are some of them I do.. when ya moved up to the 5th fret playing 5-7 on the A,D,G. A minor and C are the same scales right ? I outline all the barre chord shapes by notes too...
I know minor pentatonic. I can do a solo on pentatonic scale but how do I introduce dynamic like your solo? Of course I don't remember the whole fretboard notes so I can just put my finger anywhere and start sliding here and there to make sense of music. Could you please help in this manner? Thanks. Ali
Love this
What a great opener, lol!
Guitar sounds lush‼️‼️😍
Love that guitar.
Thank you!
I love ur lessions man Cong's from ug
