Thanks Isaac - this is a very foundational lesson. After decades of guitar playing, I had honestly never addressed myself to THAT "C" chord or formation, where the pinky finger is on the E string (eighth fret). I see the importance of taking time to listen and learn, even when you have been at something for donkey's years. I owe you!!!! Handshake from Kampala.
What African guitar? They mean Congolese guitar, because it is a very specific thing, invented by specific people. You being from Zambia should understand this very well. The people who call Congolese guitar "African guitar" want to be able to go out in the world and claim credit for something that their countries had nothing to do with
I appreciated, this video you show a genuine intent in your instruction of playing guitar Isaic. On a personal note most intructional videos cover off the Pentonic scale patterns which are ok, in this video your capturing the chromatic scale and demonstrating how to progress not only up and down the neck but also incorporating fingering postion of chord changes clearly within the signature key very simple Thank you kindly Issiac
Very informative lesson. WIthout this information, one might spend many years plateauing and never learn to play lead guitar. Good job man. Much appreciated
This was very practical and helpful to me. As an amarture, I would need more of this slow movements to note the actual notes and strings. Kindly do for me more of how to learn scales easily and how to move them across the fretboard. Thank you big!
Thank you for this video I am from Zimbabwe / South Africa and have been always wondering what chord shapes the Soukous/Seben guitarists use in the middle of the neck. That concept of playing chords finger by finger while linking the different chord shapes really opened up a new horizon for me.
Great lesson brother Isaac! Am really impressed with how you share the complex concepts in simplified terms! Am a beginner in guitar lessons yearning to be a soloist. This lesson has rekindled my hope to get to my vision. Thank you very much. Regards, Jonathan from Kenya
This is good ! From simple basic to step up by exploring. I like as you guide beginners & the lost old guitarist like me concerning how to do creative solo. I stuck with scale. Now I understand. Thanks.
too fast for beginner ....Mr teacher .... we cannot see what you do with your rigth arm ..... it is very interesting please more explanation ..Thank you very much for the time you made for your tuto :)
Bro Isaac I really appreciate u sir, keep it up. Mmm Please what is different between ritmic guitar and lid guitar. And which part can lid guitar play, and also ritmic guitar. I want to know their position.
I just started watching your video today. I have a little bit experience, but not with African music. Now I want to learn to play African music, specifically the solo. Towards the end when you were doing it step by step, I really like it. If you can do even slow motion that will be great.
This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "guitar alternate picking" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Ganyatty Guitar Gainify - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my co-worker got cool results with it.
Sir thanks I followed everything, but you would have finished the C on the flet bord especially where the solo comes in, 😂u said we relax but I can't relax before I see you doing the last inversion where solo is
I started learning this week. I really wish to follow you up here as I have already subscribed. Please do well to number your lessons so I wil know which one to watch after watching each ones. Thanks in anticipation
