Great to see you back😎
Thank you 🙏 much appreciated
Your videos are great!
Thank you 🙏 appreciate that means a lot 😃
Wow,thats a most superb setup sir,welldone
Take my hat off to those who build up a DIY system. I borrowed money to get a set up installed and have upgraded as I’ve gone along.
Great set up , nice family business 👍
Thank you 🙏 Never thought it would build up as a family business. Surprising what window cleaning can do, it’s good for my kids as it helps them grow in confidence when speaking to people.
@@CrystalCleanWindows I've got my 2 sons working with me, it's the best thing
@@BB-br4qh not many people get to do that, definitely something I think about how lucky we are to all pitch in.
Hope this is ok but I have a few questions about your set up. 1) How big is your shed? 2) Is it a concrete base and if so would you say that this is necessary? 3) Is the shed insulated and if not..how do you protect your RO system etc from freezing in winter? Thank you so much in advance….looking to create a similar setup for our family business.
Thank you for asking firstly. I can’t remember the size I will check tomorrow but I think it is 6ft x 4ft. I had a double door fitted at the front so I could easily fit a IBC tank through.
I have a concrete base was advised by the guys that did my shed. That’s a fair bit of weight and wooden floors will rot when you have some water spillages.
I have insulated the shed myself to protect the membrane from freezing. To be honest it was fine before I had the shed insulated.
In very cold weather I disconnect the hoses from outside and bring them inside the shed after draining them. I also in very cold nights out a oil rad heater in there on low.
Hello what brand ladder have you got and where did you get the ladder levellers from as they seem a good idea i use a rubber mat
@andycole5816 thank you 🙏 3 Section Trade Ladder 12 Rung- (ELT335) are the ladders i got from Amazon. I can not for the life of me find where i got the ladder levelers from. I did check to see if they were compatible with my ladders.
Great channel rob. I'm getting an electric reel fitted next month, would you say it makes a difference compared to manual?
Thank you 🙏 honestly they are worth it, you’ll wish you had got them earlier. It definitely saves your back from aching and does speed your day up. Plus you feel you have gone up a level.
@@CrystalCleanWindows thanks for that looking forward to getting it now 😀 👍
👍🏻
Thank you 🙏
Great tour and explanation of your setup. Do you have to thread the hose through the floor rollers each time or do you have a way to keep it at bumper level ready for next job?
Thank you 🙏 yes i have to pass the pole hose through the roller guides each time. Pretty sure there is a way to achieve what your after, but i was worried the connectors would get grit from the road in them. I like to work with the van doors closed, so it doesn't take long to set it all up.
@@CrystalCleanWindows I agree that keeping connectors out will lead to them getting damaged. I wonder if removing a bit of rear door seal might allow pole to be in it's holder and hose through door gap to rollers. So always connected ready to go, might need a way to stop reel unwinding.
@@ched999uk @ched999uk i have seen that some just close the doors with the pole hose still attached. I have tried this but it just didn't feel right with me!
@@CrystalCleanWindows Fitted an electric reel over Christmas and through floor rollers. Tried closing pole hose under door and works great and doesn't mark the hose at all. I do have the bottom door seal pulled away a little to give a bit more space. I do pull it all back in the van at last job of the day.
@@ched999uk nice one on fitting the electric reel mate, you'll love it. I will have to try that fir a couple of days, anything that helps your workflow can only be a good thing.
How do you travel around when working as a four person team
When we work more than a three, my wife will follow in the car with some spare water.
Looking to change over to xline, would you recommend them? What's there customer service like? Thanks
+Dom thank you for asking, I haven’t had a problem with them in the last 5 years since I had a system installed. Sometimes they are just simply very busy when you phone but you can leave a message & they will get back to you. Also you can use Facebook messenger to get in touch, handy to for showing videos of any problems your having.
Those under floor hose guides should be at an angle to the road / van instead of straight down and across and out . to prevent friction ..
+John Winters all makes sense but that’s how they were installed by Agrippa tank. They are still going fine and are very solid. Definitely going to last a long time.
Do you dilute the bright solution?
No mate use it as it is, really good stuff and has a nice smell to.
@@CrystalCleanWindows it's expensive so could only be used for cloth work
@@stevehughes7224 I live near Huge Crane so I can buy it from the shop. About £7 for 5 litres
