Play on, my man... I love your music and have for years. You've been an inspiration to this old guitar guy for a long time. God bless you Duke... you're the real article. Two thumbs up... 👍👍
For some reason, you were under my radar until Zac Childs posted one of your vids. I have become a fan since then and even had one of my students at the university playing your song Starlight Time for his exam. Thank you for the amazing musicality and inspiration!
Went looking for Winnebago - Cheating on your Heart - and ended up here...how lucky am I? This nectar is both inspirational and uplifting in equal measure... a veritable treat for all the senses. Congratulations and best wishes from Ardrossan!
That is so good Quite a rarity in the days Thank you Did my heart good to see and listen to this talented guitarist You got me bubbee You REALLY got me Aha ...
Peter Wolf told me to check out your videos. Very glad he did - absolutely lovely rendition of a very meaningful song. Hope to learn from your playing. Stay safe.
Oh my goodness! I just uploaded a song I wrote to my youTube account and this came on automatically after my video. Absolutely gorgeous! it's actually giving me goosebumps. Beautiful lyrical playing evoking the beautiful Scottish lanscape. I shall follow!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love all your work as it's truly inspirational. Finding myself picking up my guitar almost instantly every time one of your songs comes on. I'd define your music as humility and compassion juxtaposed to peace and empathy. When life gets rough, as it often does, songs like this and Low Lonesome, lift my spirit. When I get married in a week, my wife and I will be dancing to Low Lonesome. Thank you, sir. I hope to collaborate with you one day. God bless you and yours!

Wow. I've admired Duke's playing since finding his name on so many favorite singer-songwriter albums back in the 1990s. I've only just discovered his YT channel, and what a treat, especially this *gorgeous* arrangement of "Lock Lomond." Instantly subscribed, and looking forward to hearing more. -Tom
Nice playing. Very soulful and relaxing to listen to. That sounds great. What amp are you using and what is your recording signal chain? Are you using a mic or is it something like an Ox Box?
Hey there Duke, firstly I really enjoy and appreciate your guitar playing and style. Secondly, I would like to know what key you play Lagrimas del acerro, from the the Lone Star soundtrack? Best wishes and take care. Mike from Australia.
@@dukelevine6995. I see it on Apple Music, but it says it is not available on ITunes UK shop to buy. Thanks anyway. As a Scot I loved it, as well as much of your other stuff.
Duke, I put head phones on for this one, guitar (?) And song sound amazing! Trying to work out " Fish Scale " on guitar, wish me luck. Is this dropped ' D ' ? Nope.
Duke: You should try to make something from Roy Orbison. Julian Lage did Crying. A less known ballad with a lot of changes that could be interesting is "In Dreams". Certainly much from his material that has a vintage sound like yours.
Very very nice vintage tone with hint of tremolo. I've listened to your music for a long time Duke. I'm way up in Houlton, ME retired now and can spend more time with my guitars. Trying to replicate your tuning. Appears you dropped down a half tone, dropped the 1st and 6th strings to what would be a D and dropped the B to what would be an A? Interesting vintage guitar with just a bridge pick-up? What is it? A Kay, Silvertone ... looks like D... F.... :) Appreciate what you're doing while locked down. Thank you!
Im mesmerized.. duke levine i think we may be in love..we just don't know it yet.. 💜
Thanks Duke. I needed that…
Amost too beautiful to bear and I only made it to the end through tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. Wow Duke!
you should get back on your meds asap
Low key one of the best pieces of solo guitar music ever. So beautiful and moving. Bravo!!!

Beautiful playing and cool little Supro/National guitar.
Immaculate. That must be the magnatone. ❤ This reminds me of Richard Thompson but a bit gentler. I’m looking fwd to checking out your other videos.

What kind of guitar is that? The amp sounds great.
It’s a ‘59 Supro Dualtone

This is Open D ( D A D F# A D, lo-hi) down a half-step. The guitar is a late ‘50s Supro Dualtone, with the neck pickup missing.
Duke, what tuning is this in?
Jeff - It's open D (DADF#AD) down a half-step.
