There's a deleted line in incredibles where syndrome basically says "You had kids? Supers aren't supposed to breed." This would be a good piece of evidence for the theory too.
Reckless Spark that’s not what he means he means that it would suggest they are being made by the government as they have been told they are not supposed to have children as it was previously unknown what would happen
Chelsea Blair just like how in The Incredible Hulk film there was a deleted scene where Bruce (The Hulk) tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the mouth by “the other guy’ (The Hulk obviously) spit it out, which was then reference in the Avengers. My point is that the deleted scenes in movies are still a part of the film but just wasn’t shown in it!
ACTUALLY, in Marvel Comics, the Celestials created mutants on Earth via experiments by randomly implanting the original humans of the world with the X gene, and mutant offspring sometimes inherit the affected X gene, which is otherwise dormant in non-mutant humans.
Mr.Incredible- has incredible strength Elastigirl- bends like elastic Violet- ultraviolet light she turns invisible Dash- dashes (duh) Jack jack- jack of all trades. He has all powers
I'd like to see an update to this theory. The new supers introduced in the sequel make me question a few things. Some seem young enough to have been children when the supers were still public (yes, possibly children of previous supers) and some have foriegn accents which suggests they were brought together from around the globe and not all American. So were several countries doing this and possibly experimenting on children?
I actually have a theory about why the kids have invisibility/force shield and super speed. Mr. Incredible has super strength, so super strong genes, and Elastigirl has super elastic ones, so when combined you get: -Invisibility: with cells so elastic they basically stretch so much they let light through but strong enough to get back to normal -Super Speed: with Dash's legs being super strong so they can move really fast but also with flexibility so they don't burn when going fast It's dumb, but hey it's what I find a reasonable explanation q:
Added evidence: There's a deleted opening scene where Syndrome invades the Incredibles' home soon after Violet is born and when Syndrome discovers that the Incredibles had a kid, he wags his finger at Mr. Incredible and says, "you're breaking the law, Mr. Incredible. You know Supers aren't supposed to breed." If your theory is correct, this implies that the government knew the super gene could be passed on once activated and enacted a law that prevented that from happening...probably for crowd control and so there weren't any unchecked and untrained Supers running around. After the Supers retired, the government could have backed off on that law, allowing Supers to breed as long as their powers were kept secret or something.
The first position you take in this video is incorrect. The reason society didn't come to pieces after all the supers retired, is because a lot of supers continued to do their thing undercover. The first movie not only shows the guys-night-out where they are sneaking around doing super rescues in secret, but also implies that the reason Syndrome was able to locate and lure dozens of supers was because his staff could sneak around at night and spot lots of supers doing their thing under cover of darkness.
Actually Frozone mentions that he discovered his powers when he was a kid. A few of the voice files from the interviews of the Supers even mention that they knew about their powers since they were kids or teens. I think it's always been genetic.
+SuperCarlinBrothers could you make a video about how all the disney movies are connected. I'm a big fan of your work and really want to see you make video about the theory
Spoiler alert Is anyone seeing this after they see incredibles 2 and think about the random supers who are just there (most likely not made by the government)
Well apparently Frozone discovered his power when he froze some juice when he was thinking of a popsicle, so if Frozone and Mr Incredible are pretty close to age, how can he they have gotten their superpowers by the government if he only found out about his powers then when he was thinking about that popsicle, plus he probably would've only have been a child
insanedragongirl It's a reference to the old timey interview clip that appears at the beginning of the first film. But who knows, maybe that comment could have been a red herring.
1) Syndrome's a super genius. It's just not an obvious power so he doesn't realize he's a super. 2) They could Freeze his assets because Mr. incredible figured out his real name. 3) the US isn't the only country with supers.
@@hauntedalley8892 not sure. Crusher had a strong accent, so he's probably from another country. Other than that, they just showed them standing with representatives from their countries.
I always just assumed that powers were genetic and when syndrome killed all the supers, they just kind of disappeared, but this theory makes a little more sense
Laake White Well, for a sequel movie. As for milking it, it already has been (an Incredibles sequel has already been planned). However, if they're going to do that, it wouldn't hurt that this be the idea to expand upon, because it genuinely is interesting to consider.
+mad4song01 Well, yeah, I mean, I've always kind of suspected them to have ties with the government. At least the wife, because of the guy that lent her the jet. I don't remember exactly who he was, but I'm pretty sure he was part of the air force or something.
Best theory I’ve heard about the incredibles yet honestly. One additoval detail that fits your theory is that in the original script, there was a subplot about how it was made illegal for supers to procreate. This could be because as you said, lack of proper training and discipline would make them a threat and could also explain why in the super agency audio files bonus content, Frozone describes his powers first manifesting by age 2. He was the first case of two supers having a child also with powers and causing the government to crack down on it. Jack Jack is another prime example of a clearly over powered risk factor; very reminiscent of Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm of the Fantastic Four (who the Incredibles were CLEARLY based on) who in early childhood manifested powers to literally manipulate reality itself by sheer force of will; a veritable living god.
Let me explain. When everyone is a super, no one can be because they dont rely on each other for saving anymore, which means, so heroes OR supers (I ddint know how to explain really)
Loyal Theorist Girl 101 yeah! Here is my version: when he says “nobody is” it means that when everyone is super, no one is, because once everyone is, no one is special,
If the theory is right and they got their powers from the government, that adds so many more layers to the metaphor of the Incredible, turning Mr. Incredible's story into the familiar story of "The Soldier that has trouble readjusting to life after the war." Among countless other metaphors I'm sure people can find within the context of the theory.
What war? Maybe there WAS a war the Supers were fighting but after it ended they folded into stopping crime and then that was cancelled too. Maybe Mr. Incredible is a veteran of a war and policing the streets. I'd be bored and pissed too.
I was just watching the Pixar theory for the 183828388382 time and I go back to the play list and say "oh I don't remember this one" and I click on it and realize, oh snap just uploaded!!! I love all of your videos!!! I love this it makes so much sense!
since the Incredibles is the only movie in which we don't see the Pizza Planet truck, and there's merchandizing, could it be possible that the Incredibles is actually just comic book characters in the Pixar universe?
+pie is pro perhaps but of course the gov would know who they are based on their powers, either way even though that COULD happen.. it doesn't! ...At least as far as we know and what we see in the movie
Maybe part of the training training and test they might have had to pass made sure there was no possibility of them going rouge. Like maybe training their minds to think a certain way (brainwashing). Besides if this was a super secret government project they would have picked people that they could control.
+pie is pro If they did create/train them. It would be plausible to say that they know how to deal with rouge supers. Like they have all their strengths and weaknesses on file.
in the pixar theory, it says that the incredibles is set in the 1960s. what happened in circa 1960? (fanfare) The Cold War, and therefore the Cuban Missile Crisis so my theory is that the two Superpower of America (see what I did there? ;) ) created the supers by giving superpowers to the best Secret Service agents and Special Forces soldiers to use them as spies behind enemy lines to A: Distract communist guerillas at home and abroad, and eliminate high-ranking officials in Communist goverment parties (e.g. Communist governmets and Communist left-wing parties abroad in places like Europe or Asia) deemed a threat to America, or eliminate specific communist guerilla/parties through the use of stealth (explaining why Mrs and Mr incredible can see the same weaknesses in an enemy's structure, and can infiltrate a heavily defended base) B: as spies c: as a mobile, highly trained special forces squadto assist the army if a full scale war broke out but since the cuban missile crisis ended, and america never had to go to war. the supers were kept as a squad, but in order not to go rusty and forget how to use their powers, the american government authorised them to fight crime. and that's my take on this theory.
bomb voyage is french, the french had a very large communist party, thus he could have been a communist agent sent to destroy america's capitalist system (the banks)
This sounds almost like a child’s explanation of something they partly understand - what if the backstory is a child whose parents explained politics of the time to him, playing with toys
That would make The Incredibles all toys, who can wake up and not age - explaining why the second movie is set so far in the future from the first but they haven’t aged
I feel like this theory could have been from BEFORE the Incredibles family, maybe the grandparents or something. Pixar mentioned Frozone discovered his powers when he froze a glass of juice when thinking of his favorite flavor. That means he was not given his superpowers by the government (otherwise he would have known about his powers). But what if the Incredibles' parents were given superpowers and then the gene was passed down eventually to Mr. and Mrs. Incredible and then they were recruited by the government?
i mean the government could have given it to him when he was a kid or he could have super parents like violet and dash,- he could be second generation super, his parents being the first of the first "experiments"
Its not much of a theory, but rather more of a curious question. When Mr.Incredible is looking through the lists of supers on the island, you see the supers and the prototypes. Some supers take down their first prototype, but die by the next. My question is what supers kill prototypes 8,7,6,5, and 3, and also, what was their superpowers
Here's an idea: The Super Hero program started by the government in the movie was actually a response to the Communist rise during the Cold War that would have occured during that time period. The villains are actually the Soviet response to the Super Hero program, however the soviets couldn't recreate the super abilities. Thus the soviets fund non-super groups to counter the Supers through non-direct means: Espionage, Guerilla Warfare, and Terrorism. After the fall of the Soviet Union (1980's) the supers return to America as there is no country left to fight with the over-kill of super hero's. With the fall of the Soviet Union people like Bomb Voyage, an individual who apparantly has tangled with Mr. Incredible on multiple occasions and has gotten away frequently enough (Due to soviet anti-hero training?) these agents run rampant and the hero's are used to tamp down the massive jumps in crime during the late 1980's crime rate hikes. Now Mirage never specified what govt. funded them. Or that they even told the truth. How likely is it that Syndrome, a non super, was funded by the remnants of Communist regimes across the world to continue to pursue the Super Powers program now that they have eliminated all the hero's who had ensured the initial fall of Communism? Or that they simply re-initiate the arms race with the militarized ICBM styled robots used to invade America?
I was writing notes for a story that involves as government program called "The Revolving Door Club". The concept is that the United States Government actually employs 'super-criminals' to keep the heroes using their powers for the side of 'good'. The main character is the grandson of a 'super-criminal' who was killed under mysterious circumstances, and over the course of the story he discovers that one of the greatest superheroes has gone rogue and is killing members of the Revolving Door Club.
Can you talk about the exact powers violet and jack jack has? Cuz most people say that they are the only ones who are special and have multiple powers, but I think it's a core power? I always thought violet-ultraviolet- controlling the tangibility of light Jack jack - jack of all trades - mutation? Literally able to shift everything about himself, size weight temperature etc? Idk I'm interested to hear your opinion on this ☺️☺️
Isn’t it weird how Edna made JackJack’s suit perfect for his powers before they even realised he had them? In that same scene Helen says “JackJack doesn’t have any powers.”
Y'know... When Bob loses his job and that government agent has to help him relocate, it sounds like a pretty lengthy and expensive process. If we're assuming that each superhero family has their own escort and that they also have trouble controlling themselves (which is pretty likely, they've gone through extensive training and have been in enough bad situations to give them all PTSD- its unlikely that they just switched that part of themselves off and settled down into suburban life) that's got to be costing the government loads of money- and, seeing as they're breeding, it's going to keep costing them loads of money until the superhero gene has been fully bred out. So, if somebody offered to get rid of them and replace the whole superhero experiment with machines that could be switched off when you didn't need them, why wouldn't they jump at the chance? At no point does suit guy say "hey Bob! A lot of my colleagues have had their superhero clients vanish- watch out for that!"
Let's Just go with the theory that they are all mutants, born with power. if there is Inceredibles 3,I would like to see a Brotherhood of evil Supers as the antagonists
I'm learning in my political science class that that in times of emergency the government can freeze all the accounts of any person who is an American citizen.
+Ryan McGrath there is the national security act that gives the federal government mores powers. while these laws were being signed Congress passed an act that grants permission in times of emergency to get a court order to freeze any organization or persons bank account. The government can do this any time now because of the Bush administration lobbying for more powers due to 9/11 and wanted to make sure that they could stop potential threats from inside the US from obtaining an resources.
+Trevor Eisnaugle www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=generationopportunity.org/articles/2015/04/09/new-restrictions-announced-on-when-the-government-can-seize-your-bank-account/&ved=0ahUKEwjKl5aDlqzOAhUY8GMKHQXeCRkQFggtMAQ&usg=AFQjCNEQArdS0q_IePEplP-rsdgimckIdA&sig2=9Hrj-mIaAa2VjHLSikXYZg one of my sources.
+Ryan McGrath It's not Unconstitutional if the Constitution was amended. You may think that it's over stepping the boundaries but it is beneficial. A lot of people think so, I'll try to find that wensite my teacher said it was on. It stated that 9/10 think the government should freeze criminals bank accounts if they are wanted by police or present a danger to our communities. I don't a criminal able to access their bank account because he could use that to purchase a weapon. I do read into my laws. I am a firm believer in that the Constitution was ment as a beging piece and that it should be amended when it has to so it can fix problems at that point in time.
They would still need to have some access to his accounts, or at least know exactly what to look for. This guy was operating from a private island and supposedly working with other governments. How did they manage to freeze all of his assets within a couple of hours?
In Incredibles 2, a lot of people from all around the globe apparently have powers still. How could this be if the Government already ceased their connection to the supers?
I thought about the same thing and when I saw the second movie I was kinda disappointed that this theory wasn’t correct because it makes sense and gives a little more mature vibe. Then I thought, (with deleted scenes where Syndrome says supers breeding is illegal) the supers from the second movie could be the children of the first supers, who laid low because of the law and maybe they fleed to another country. After that, everything sort of fell into place. I hope I was helpful!
J, why did the government choose Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone to be the superheroes? Were they working for the government before? What happened to make THEM the Supers?
If dash, jack jack, and violet got their powers genetically, then why are their powers different from their parents powers? Shouldn't these abilities be similar or completely the same.
Part of the bonus features on the first Incredibles DVD was a database on all the supers mentioned in the movie, and each one had a little bio, some personal details, and a short audio file from the super in question. Frozone mentions that he discovered his powers when he was a kid, when he had a glass of Kool Aid and "really wanted a Popsicle". So, what? Did the government give Frozone ice powers when he was a little kid just on the off chance he wanted to be a superhero when he grew up?
How about this one. The incredibles exists in an alternate MCU timeline where the US government figures out how to recreate the Captain America serum, and even takes it a bit further with other powers. The timeline lines up, takes place in the 50s and 60s, less than 20 years after Captain America went in the ice. Also syndrome almost seems to have hydra-esque technology.
What if the government DID fund Syndrome on purpose? What if they realized that the super hero program was a mistake and secretly wanted Syndrome to just eradicate all of the supers?
I love this idea, it makes a crap tonne of sense especially if the timeline of the beggining of the film takes place during or towards the end of the cold war it would mean the supers where made to fight the soviets and after the war or as the americans where winning they had them fight crime and start families. It makes so much sense. maybe the monsters from Monsters inc are actually supers whose genetics have changed and not you know ants like the original pixar theory
I like what you're saying about The Cold War. When I rewatched it, I thought it was interesting how Syndrome seemed to have very communistic ideals. So it would be a great irony if the government hired Syndrome to make weapons for a war just for Syndrome to become what they're fighting.
the point you made about genetics is substantiated in a cut scene where Syndrome attacked the house with Bob and Helen, and Violet when she was a baby. Syndrome says "You are breaking the law Mr. Incredible. You know supers aren't supposed to breed."
The DVD extras did have a pretty decent database of supers and yeah there's no mention of empowered villains but there is mentions of heroes using their powers for practical uses. Like I think one of them is effectively Magneto and was turning scrapmetal into modern art? It's been a while since I've watched them.
I don't remember if it was in a deleted scene or if it was in the actual film, but I also remember Syndrome telling Mr. and Mrs. Incredible that "Supers aren't supposed to breed." So the marriage between two supers was probably also prohibited which would also be part of why Dash's teacher doesn't suspect him to have super speed.
Mentions a point I've brought up before about Marvel mutants. We're shown that many exist (via cerebro) but we only ever see the ones fighting the bad guys - rather than people using the powers openly for more everyday work.
I very much doubt this as possible. Let's start with the most obvious problem, the variety of super powers. If we assume your government did manage to create superhuman abilities and grant them to people, and let's even pretend you wouldn't immediately use them for warfare, why would they bother giving people different combinations of powers? Wouldn't a uniform power be far simpler, or perhaps squads, each with different abilities for different tasks? No, my belief is that it functions similar to the infamous mutants in XMen, it's a genetic advantage each person has, granting them different powers, unique to the person themselves. Going from Jack Jack, it's clear these abilities manifest from infancy, but according to Helen (or "Elastigirl"), they assumed Jack Jack was actually not a Super, implying he developed his powers late, odd, considering he's too young to stand or even speak beyond gurgles and cries. If superpowers manifested at birth or near thereof, as it seems to be the case, it'd be easy to keep track of everyone who has them, just jot it down in that person's government records. Thus, should supervillains show similar traits to the file, it's a simple matter to track them down. Who has powers and who doesn't is, of course, private records, and once the US outlawed vigilantism, any supervillain trying to rise up would be immediately dealt with, let's be honest. Maybe send in a super or three in secret, and the message would spread soon enough. No more costumes. As for "Syndrome", he wasn't exactly subtle, and likely people up top were pushing to shut him down, but needed proof, which the attack provided, allowing them to push the button, as it were.
That wouldn't really make sense, from a genetic standpoint. If everyone, or even only certain people, had the gene, and it needed to be activated, surely other governments would catch on and start copying the experiments for warfare, like America would most certainly do. No, if America, no, *any* country found a way to make super soldiers, they'd abuse it for warfare faster than you could say human rights. It has to be natural, as every character acts as if being "super" is predetermined from birth. Then, as super humans vanished from the spotlights, people forgot, or assumed they were all isolated or prevented from using said powers. Pixar loves realism in their stories (magic/supernatural aside), so I think this is the only likely situation.
It could be a situation like in Deadpool where everyone reacts differently to having their super-power genes activated giving everyone different powers
Well, it isn't really all that far fetched considering the way that a lot of Marvel super heroes got their powers from. You guessed it. Gene manipulation and experimentation. For example: The hulk, Spiderman, Deadpool. Even in other comic companies as well. The flash, Dr.Manhattan, The fantastic 4. It's highly possible genetic makeup could decide what powers you get if they are forced to "Activate."
To be honest, I would disagree with this theory. If you look at the “Secret super hero files” in disc 2 of incredibles 1, Frozone explains how as a child he was drinking Kool aid (he actually says this in the special feature) and was thinking that it would be cool if he could have frozen Kool Aid (or a popsicle) and then it froze in his hand. In the movie the reason the “Supers” are well trained is because they work FOR the government, which is why the incredicar/incredobile/incredimobile/incredibile is government owned. The super heroes aren’t on their own, they joined an initiative BECAUSE of their abilities.
ok first off, syndrome definately has super intelligence, secondly I quote megamind here "you're a villain alright, but yo're not all that super" "whats the difference?" "presentation" don't remember the villains name but even if they don't have powers on a certain level all these villains are super
Everything included in this theory makes so much sense! And the fact dash's teacher never suspected he was a super has always annoyed me so I'm glad it makes sense now
Maybe the "supers" are all god like beings who willingly let their powers be limited so that they wouldn't go overboard but decided to keep at least one power so that incase any supers went mental and attempted to remove the limit they would be able to be stopped
Does that mean that Jack-Jack is a closer-to-god-like super? because he possesses so many more powers than all the other supers who only have 1 to 2 powers!
As a fan of the classic movie Firestarter, this conclusion does not surprise me. I love you guys! Those socks are not the only thing amazing, you guys are amazing!!!
In Edna’s place in the background you can see ancient supers fighting aka Greek Spartans, I believe supers are some product of the “gods” or possibly a random genetic reason and in Disney infinity the statue is mentioned as an ancient artwork of supers.
It wouldn't surprise me if they did a prequel to the incredibles and before Elastigirl was Elastigirl she was a wall flower like violet and mr incredible was like a nerd but after getting his powers he became a jock
Or they're just mutants, like X-Men. Toy Story is the same universe as Incredibles, Toy Story's script was written by Joss Whedon. What else was written by Joss Whedon? Avengers 2.
Samantha Braker Avengers 2? You mean the one where the millionaire made a robot that builds a better robot which builds a better robot which builds a better robot and etc.? And that robot then breaks its programming cycle and tries to actually kill everyone? That Avengers 2?
Jacob Rau I would actually go with the government idea. Because then you could have a circulation of illegal supers. Like drug cartels giving out meth or heroine. There could be a possibility of people making huge bank from giving illegally made superpowers.
true considering the theory of elsa and repunzle being twin sisters seperated after birth and that they are the only disney princesses with super powers they could've passed there powers down generation to generation. In X-men they did say the power gene came from the mom. It's like a sex-linked gene, the super powers.
There's a deleted line in incredibles where syndrome basically says "You had kids? Supers aren't supposed to breed." This would be a good piece of evidence for the theory too.
Cool one
Problem with using deleted lines as evidence is because they might've deleted then because they don't fit the lore they were thinking of.
dementedsagittarius so he would think dash violet and jack jack were adopted?

I always had the impression that superpowers in that universe followed the concept of mutants in Marvel: It's genetically inherited.
If you watched the video, he goes over this.
Jerry Tomas
“Genetic experiments that become inheritable” isn't really the same thing as “naturally occurring genetic superpowers”.
if it was genetically inherited then at least four people would have to been given a 'super gene'
ACTUALLY, in Marvel Comics, the Celestials created mutants on Earth via experiments by randomly implanting the original humans of the world with the X gene, and mutant offspring sometimes inherit the affected X gene, which is otherwise dormant in non-mutant humans.

Elastigirl- bends like elastic
Violet- ultraviolet light she turns invisible
Dash- dashes (duh)
Jack jack- jack of all trades. He has all powers
I mean that doesn't explain exactly why jack jack has multiple powers when every other super introduced only has one but it is a pretty good theory
adding on, we don't know how many powers jack jack has but even in trailers we are finding out new ones
shrinking violet - she turns invisible
Hope Taylor I only thought about the dash one
Except the jack of all trades saying is a shortened version of: "jack of all trades; master of none", whereas Jack-Jack seems incredibly powerful

I actually have a theory about why the kids have invisibility/force shield and super speed. Mr. Incredible has super strength, so super strong genes, and Elastigirl has super elastic ones, so when combined you get:
-Invisibility: with cells so elastic they basically stretch so much they let light through but strong enough to get back to normal
-Super Speed: with Dash's legs being super strong so they can move really fast but also with flexibility so they don't burn when going fast
It's dumb, but hey it's what I find a reasonable explanation q:

3) the US isn't the only country with supers.
What other countries have supers?
@@hauntedalley8892 in the incredibles 2 they show several other supers from other countries.
AncapFTW What kinds of powers do they have?
@@hauntedalley8892 not sure. Crusher had a strong accent, so he's probably from another country. Other than that, they just showed them standing with representatives from their countries.
Redo this video with incredibles 2 info
I always just assumed that powers were genetic and when syndrome killed all the supers, they just kind of disappeared, but this theory makes a little more sense
Yeah, that theory is pretty solid.
Agree
+Laake White Worthy for a sequel, maybe?
+mad4song01 Like, a sequel theory or a sequel movie? Cause I wish Pixar wouldn't milk their series.
Syndrome: and when everyone's super.... nobody is
All might: ya sure about that?
AliBugK *izuku is hiding behind All might* xD
Let me explain. When everyone is a super, no one can be because they dont rely on each other for saving anymore, which means, so heroes OR supers (I ddint know how to explain really)
Loyal Theorist Girl 101 yeah! Here is my version: when he says “nobody is” it means that when everyone is super, no one is, because once everyone is, no one is special,
@@mareebee7046 thats a much better explanation haha Im bad at explaining lol
The way my parents described this is if everybody has superpowers, then having superpowers isn't special anymore because everybody has superpowers.
+Ramona Ray still better than batmam vs superman, just kidding i liked that movie but i feel like they're similar :)
+Selene Da Queen What's batmam vs superman?
What war? Maybe there WAS a war the Supers were fighting but after it ended they folded into stopping crime and then that was cancelled too. Maybe Mr. Incredible is a veteran of a war and policing the streets. I'd be bored and pissed too.
It's a metaphorical war (on crime).
I was just watching the Pixar theory for the 183828388382 time and I go back to the play list and say "oh I don't remember this one" and I click on it and realize, oh snap just uploaded!!! I love all of your videos!!! I love this it makes so much sense!

Yep, SCB are awesome and so is pixar
+Emerald Not cool
+Rene Donnes that is pretty weird.
since the Incredibles is the only movie in which we don't see the Pizza Planet truck, and there's merchandizing, could it be possible that the Incredibles is actually just comic book characters in the Pixar universe?
Adam Taurus like your profile picture it's pretty HANDy 😉
J: "The government created the super heroes"
Me: "that's what the government wants you to believe"
but couldn't the supers have gotten their powers and then betrayed the government and became evil thus becomeing super vilins?
+pie is pro perhaps but of course the gov would know who they are based on their powers, either way even though that COULD happen.. it doesn't! ...At least as far as we know and what we see in the movie
remember that the second movie has been confirmed. we may see some villains there
Maybe part of the training training and test they might have had to pass made sure there was no possibility of them going rouge.
+Ben Perezoso agreed, BATMAN style :3
in the pixar theory, it says that the incredibles is set in the 1960s.
what happened in circa 1960?
(fanfare)
The Cold War, and therefore the Cuban Missile Crisis
so my theory is that the two Superpower of America (see what I did there? ;) ) created the supers by giving superpowers to the best Secret Service agents and Special Forces soldiers to use them as spies behind enemy lines to
A: Distract communist guerillas at home and abroad, and eliminate high-ranking officials in Communist goverment parties (e.g. Communist governmets and Communist left-wing parties abroad in places like Europe or Asia) deemed a threat to America, or eliminate specific communist guerilla/parties through the use of stealth (explaining why Mrs and Mr incredible can see the same weaknesses in an enemy's structure, and can infiltrate a heavily defended base)
B: as spies
c: as a mobile, highly trained special forces squadto assist the army if a full scale war broke out
but since the cuban missile crisis ended, and america never had to go to war.
the supers were kept as a squad, but in order not to go rusty and forget how to use their powers, the american government authorised them to fight crime. and that's my take on this theory.
bomb voyage is french, the french had a very large communist party, thus he could have been a communist agent sent to destroy america's capitalist system (the banks)
and Mr. Incredible's tech and the spy music in the movie
Wow
That could be true.
+Coolkc456 I can see this. We don't really know WHEN the supers appeared or what generation they were.
All of the Supers have different powers. So Frozone could have discovered his abilities post super serum while thinking about his favourite flavour.
the way that film was shot it looked and was stylized it seemed more like government propaganda than an actual account of how he gained his abilities.
that actual makes more sense
Idk about this. Cause frozone got his powers when he was a kid.
jay Nificent from?
SirHatford When he was thinking of a popsicle, his juice turned into ice.
@@mitspeithetc But like FROM where? That's when he knew, not where he got it.
Source?
i mean the government could have given it to him when he was a kid
or he could have super parents like violet and dash,- he could be second generation super, his parents being the first of the first "experiments"
Danny Mcalister didn't their powers showed at that scene? Right under their photo

How do we know the underminer doesn't have powers

Underminer probably brother of Moleman 😂😂😂
Also, he doesn't have powers in Incredibles 2.

InternetRoDO you just did
Also one of the Supers who was fighting for Heroes' right went missing
Let's Just go with the theory that they are all mutants, born with power.
if there is Inceredibles 3,I would like to see a Brotherhood of evil Supers as the antagonists
What if in The Incredibles 2 the villain is a child of a former superhero. They wouldn't have been given the powers, they would be born with them.

Bubbles MK maybe the people can only be super if they have a certain gene or trait
If dash, jack jack, and violet got their powers genetically, then why are their powers different from their parents powers? Shouldn't these abilities be similar or completely the same.
maybe its random like the x gene from the xmen?
Sara Brock Maybe so. I guess it would be kinda boring if their powers were the same as their parents.
There's a video explaining this. It talks about what JackJack power will be and why Dash and Violet have the powers they have.

The Incredibles Conspiracy | The Super Power Theory
by Jon Solo
Part of the bonus features on the first Incredibles DVD was a database on all the supers mentioned in the movie, and each one had a little bio, some personal details, and a short audio file from the super in question. Frozone mentions that he discovered his powers when he was a kid, when he had a glass of Kool Aid and "really wanted a Popsicle". So, what? Did the government give Frozone ice powers when he was a little kid just on the off chance he wanted to be a superhero when he grew up?
It could be possible that the kids don't have any knowledge of the Supers being authorized and controlled by the government.
Dont know why but this seems like something that the US would do
I love this idea, it makes a crap tonne of sense especially if the timeline of the beggining of the film takes place during or towards the end of the cold war it would mean the supers where made to fight the soviets and after the war or as the americans where winning they had them fight crime and start families. It makes so much sense. maybe the monsters from Monsters inc are actually supers whose genetics have changed and not you know ants like the original pixar theory
Joel Atkinson but frozone had powers when he was 2
I like what you're saying about The Cold War.

+Dalton Brown I don't remember that in the movie, can u provide some proof?
+SSJ Bubbims nvrmind its a deleted scene
+SSJ Bubbims yea lol. I was gonna say
Whenever J has kids they are going to be very well educated on Pixar theories
The DVD extras did have a pretty decent database of supers and yeah there's no mention of empowered villains but there is mentions of heroes using their powers for practical uses. Like I think one of them is effectively Magneto and was turning scrapmetal into modern art? It's been a while since I've watched them.
In those extras Frozone tells about the first time he realized he had super powers. He was like 4 years old.
In the 2nd movie this theory don't fit
Good point... But maybe America wasn’t the only one with a way to do it...
And maybe those countries syndrome funded used his tech to make their machine to do it... Hence the overpowered powers
maybe it was a world war two thing. ailed countries and all, there are about 3 from uk in that scene.
Mariela Manriquez yeah
Them sweat patches though
Rude
I saw that to lol
I don't remember if it was in a deleted scene or if it was in the actual film, but I also remember Syndrome telling Mr. and Mrs. Incredible that "Supers aren't supposed to breed." So the marriage between two supers was probably also prohibited which would also be part of why Dash's teacher doesn't suspect him to have super speed.
Interesting. I didnt connect that
+CroakPad I'm curious, which scene do you mean? Because if they weren't allowed to breed, then why were they allowed to get married?
TheCrochetCritters That is an excellent question that I don't know how to answer, sorry. :/
Mentions a point I've brought up before about Marvel mutants. We're shown that many exist (via cerebro) but we only ever see the ones fighting the bad guys - rather than people using the powers openly for more everyday work.
they literally say in the movie they were volunteers for a government experiment
Where in the movie? I don't recall that
mark Tanner the opening scene I think
@@alien6812 I don't recall that, I'll have to watch it again. Thanks!
I can actually see this government angle being true in the sequel.
Adrian Lee maybe the super powers that people get, are based on their genes, and how they react to "being activated"
Adrian Lee Uhhh to much words
It could be a situation like in Deadpool where everyone reacts differently to having their super-power genes activated giving everyone different powers
Well, it isn't really all that far fetched considering the way that a lot of Marvel super heroes got their powers from. You guessed it. Gene manipulation and experimentation.
For example: The hulk, Spiderman, Deadpool.
Even in other comic companies as well. The flash, Dr.Manhattan, The fantastic 4.
It's highly possible genetic makeup could decide what powers you get if they are forced to "Activate."
i went to school with the boy who did the voice of jack jack
Juliana Bragg 2 people voiced jack jack
Wow cool
says Juliana "b r a g g"
I went to school with Samuel L Jackson
Juliana Bragg I went to school with George Washington
And it's not that far off the US military do have experiments so I mean it is totally a possibility
If you merge MCU and Pixar slightly, Captain America has the super soldier program. What if the Military continues the program equaling all the supers
WHEEZY WAITER IN A SUPER CALIN BROTHER VIDEO?!
Megamind
titan
Everything included in this theory makes so much sense! And the fact dash's teacher never suspected he was a super has always annoyed me so I'm glad it makes sense now

8:18 I've been stuck in this loop for 3 years. Help.
Maybe the "supers" are all god like beings who willingly let their powers be limited so that they wouldn't go overboard but decided to keep at least one power so that incase any supers went mental and attempted to remove the limit they would be able to be stopped
like superman?
Victoria A Kinda
Does that mean that Jack-Jack is a closer-to-god-like super? because he possesses so many more powers than all the other supers who only have 1 to 2 powers!

OMG UR SUCH A GENIUS!! I've been watching this movie most of my life and I haven't noticed these things!
Why wouldn't you cite Astonishing X-Men... I mean, this doesn't make any sense to start with, but still.
Jacob Rau I would actually go with the government idea. Because then you could have a circulation of illegal supers. Like drug cartels giving out meth or heroine. There could be a possibility of people making huge bank from giving illegally made superpowers.
I'm about read the entire 2004 astonishing X-Men by Josh Wheaton and John Cassidy
"Total agree about genetics involving the kids getting powers.
Don't you think Elsa could've been one of the first supers and genetically handed down her powers down generations just like the Xmen?
true considering the theory of elsa and repunzle being twin sisters seperated after birth and that they are the only disney princesses with super powers they could've passed there powers down generation to generation. In X-men they did say the power gene came from the mom. It's like a sex-linked gene, the super powers.
