The irony of the DC5 is that what made them so distinctive were the great Mike Smith vocals and the aggressive drumming. It turns out Dave Clark didn't even do most of the drumming when they recorded these songs. But he was certainly a good businessman. Lol.

I didn't know that. Although lots of groups used session drummers in the studio, back then.
