I knit, and every time I complain about some imperfections with my project, my mom reminds me that the minor imperfections show that it is homemade.

I’m loving seeing the surge of people getting into crocheting! It’s amazing to see!

"I went from zero to chicken" made me 😂 Also an idea for your practice daisies is to use them as coasters.

I learnt from a flower wholesaler that if you cut 2cm/1in off the stem every second day and replace the water with new water and a teaspoon of sugar, flowers last for a long time. I have done it and my cut flowers can last over a month :)

Those loose daisies you made would also make great coasters!

loving your crochet journey, i started crocheting this year too and the daisy blanket was my first bigger project 🌼 .. and i changed it into a pillow case 😅 made too small squares

Your tension in the last square on the video was much better, half the battle with crochet is getting your tension right and consistent, but once you have it, it's much easier.

That set of Jane Austin books is gorgeous! I haven’t been able to read much lately with a newborn so I’m living vicariously through your vlog lol!

Have you ever thought about getting into bookbinding and/or creating dust jackets? That seems like a great creative project for you 🙂

I recommend starting with a blanket. Blankets are the only crochet project I’ve ever finished. I’ve actually done 2 but I prefer knitting. Knit blankets too. So basically, you do you boo. I love blankets because I can put it on while working and stay warm.

I feel like a cardigan of those daisy granny squares would be sooo cute too!!

You know what I think would be nice, making the blanket with each square you make so you've got a visual representation of your progress. Think it would look really cool seeing how much you progress and get better

My mom can crochet. She tried to teach me but it wasn't a skill I took to. So I envy that ability to create something like that. Your granny square looked great to me! You could use some of the ones you don't love (if you don't want to unravel them) as trivets.

I have been crocheting since middle school and while cute don't start with a blanket. Try place mats and coasters to practice the patterns, the variety and amount of smaller projects are great and you don't have to work on the same project. But you do what makes you happiest.

What pretty flowers, which flower was that? Loved the colour!

I love the clothes bound collection but I’m not particularly a classic reader so I can’t really justify the cost of the beautiful books. I was gifted jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll for Christmas was does scratch the itch.

Heck, at this point $95 would be pretty good for seven paperback books! For 7 hardcovers, not only that but ones that pretty, $95 is a STEAL

Wow, that blanket is going to look amazing! 👏 Have you set up a Ravelry account?
Ah, the Sephora sale - no one would imagine how much that tiny bag of stuff ended up costing me! 😅 I hope you got some needed and/or coveted items!!

Once your square is finished you need to block it. It will look better and more professional. ❤

Are Canadians trying to "lock" the time? Moving it by 30 minutes and sticking with that schedule forever? That time change is traumatic for the body and has no purpose. In my town, schools start school when they choose to, the school decides the starting time and farmers wake up with the sun, the numbers on the clock do not matter to a farmer.
