I always have the same urge to browse, shop for and stock up on all the stationary supplies this time of year. In the last couple of years I've found one thing that satisfies this itch while doing a good deed... I let myself do all the browsing online or at Staples (🇨🇦) and then buy a variety of (basic) school supplies that I then donate to our local women's emergency shelter. A few years ago, I had reached out to the shelter to see what they needed and the staff told me that one thing was school supplies because they often have kids staying there with their mothers who need supplies for school because many of them had to leave their homes quickly (especially in cases of domestic violence) and couldn't bring everything with them. I'm not sure if this is the same at all shelters but it's worth checking. 😀
I love seeing stationary from a different perspective than ‘back to school’. I’ve just finished my masters and will be moving onto the next chapter, but I still want stationary to have a place in that new lifestyle😊

I decorated my clear phone case with stationery and I'm very happy with my reulsult! It was a very therapeutic experience. Your kindle turned out very nice ❤

I want everything :D But I've been eyeing some transparent sticky notes and I'm so happy post-it have them because post-it are the best ones. Also the memo-pad is just fall
I'm not very good at taking pictures so I don't have many. But I do like printing photos and keeping memories. Since I discovered photo folios I have been hooked. You don't need anywhere near as many pictures to fill them up. And to be able to decorate them myself is so much fun! There are pre-made ones out there, or you can make them from scratch. I'm looking forward to making more and having a whole collection from trips I've done and from when I was younger and all of that.
I love using the small transparent sticky notes and the sticky tabs I use are in vintage colors from Amazon. Plus I just got these tiny sticky notes that I use because the standard size are too big for smaller books.
I haven't been in school since Dec 2022 ( I did not graduate but I as of now do not plan on going back for a full semester maybe one class here and there to finish the degree I started), so not super long but I am still LOVING pens, mainly the Pilot G2 but only the black. The other colors tend to not glide as smooth for me but also I almost always use only black pens so that is definitely my go to. Other than the pens I also still am loving journals, really any brand just one that I can take notes in, write down ideas, todo lists in, etc. Some times I can use 10 at a time other times all 10 things of what I am doing (random notes, write down ideas, todo lists in, etc) al in one journal. my only thing is any that are not spirals or composition books.
I like to match the tabs to the book cover too! The Potanro 1200 piece sticky tabs (on Amazon) have so many not super loud color options. And the card serves as bookmark and straight edge for underlining (I just use a mechanical pencil).

I bought a roll of frog tape (it green masking tape) when doing some home painting and I have been using it ever since and the roll is getting really low and it making me kind of sad cos I’ve had this roll through out my high school and uni life, it came with a case so it is great at keeping it clean. I use it for everything watercolor painting, random labels, temporary sticking in stuff in my sketchbook books or journal.

I love stationery. I used to work in retail and it was so dangerous this time of year. And then when it all went clearance? My debit card was on fire.
This year I stepped back into my childhood and couldn't resist the Siren's call of the Trapper Keeper. And some cute succulent push pins. And binder clips. I can never have enough of those.
I do like to buy stationary too ugh it can bring so much joy! I started annotating my books since last year and its been so fun! I started with a black muji pen and some coloured tabs that fit the cover. The other day I bought glitter pens to spice it up even more! And I actually do annotate fiction books and not my non-fictions funnily enough
I’ve used washi tape to make tabs and page flags. You could even make a coordinating bookmark with some card stock, washi, and string or yarn 😉 😊
My most used stationery item is probs a pen or a muji blank notebook
I annotate sometimes - if I'm not sure I'll like the book, I use a light pencil & only in the margins [so I can erase & donate/resell it if I don't like it] but if I'm more sure, I like using pilot frixion pens. I've been thinking of trying out some of the lighter tombow markers, too. And my most used stationary item is hands down, no question, my pilot vanishing point [fine nib, inked with r&k's Salix]. I use it every day all day - it's so perfect for quick notes [which are most of my notes].

Also those colour by numbers are so great! I used to find the paint by numbers too messy and regular adult colouring books were sometimes too overwhelming for my burnt out brain 😳
I use and love my first bullet journal from Notetheropy. I usually use bullet journals from Flying Tiger but they are worth the splurge. I have to mention the paper yearly calendar from flying tiger because I use the front for one year and the back for the next. I love reusing every little bit even it's inexpensive
I don’t annotate my books but I am a stationery fanatic. I’m a big journaler and I write a lot but I also like to decorate the pages now and then. I’ve got tons of washi tape and stickers (and I am really into fountain pens!)
I love using stationery and even though a lot of my work is digital, my most used stationery item is still a black pen. I love the Pentel Energel in 05 because it writes so smoothly even when I’m furiously taking notes. I also still use a paper planner for work (one of the Muji undated weekly ones) for to do lists, I can’t break that habit after years of studying!
I recently started annotations in some of my books but I using post-it notes to mark the text. I can't for the love of books write in fiction books, but self-help books or fact books are fine to write in!
I do anotate on my books and sticky notes and staedtler markers are my go markers ❤
I went to school for such a long time that September always feels like the start of the year to me, a time where stationery is an essential purchase. Thankfully, the Hobonichi planners pre-order come out around this time, but I might find a few additional pieces, too.
I’ve just swapped out my neon highlighters for neutral Mildliners. I’m hoping I will look more ‘put together’ when I start my Masters!
