why take older slower nyquist and arvidsson, over younger quicker eklund, zetterlund.. this tournament is going to be fast. i dont get it but what ever. i hate how dinosaur coaches ruin these rosters with overthinking dinosaur decisions. im also missing lundestrom on the fourth line.

Dahlin is out indefinitely with back problem. Forsberg is struggling big time in a dumpster fire team right now. Arvidsson is totally invisible this season. Zibanejad is struggling in a dysfunctional team. Elias Lindholm is not shining bright this season either. Gus Nyqvist is five years past his prime. Ericson Ek is lacking in points production. E Karlsson is also past his prime and a risk/reward player at best. It's if the coaching staff in Sweden just went for known namnes that sounds good but didn't look into how they actually perform right now. That's all I got for today - go away now.

The refs always favor the canadians though. Not easy to win matches against canada when the refs 9 of 10 times always with the canadians
No they dont, but beside that Sweden is too mentally weak to keep up with the rest. They dont have the national pride or grit that the other big nations do. Sweden, in big tournaments tend to do better when the big teams get eliminated through complacency. When they get to play over achieving teams like Switzerland or Germany. They have a terrible record against the other big Nations. Ocassionally they do beat a Canada or Russia and Chech republic. But mostly they dont. They have a decent statistic against Finland due to history and that mental edge. But that has mostly been negated aswell in later years
Team finland will end up last in this tournament, half of its team is players who people not even heard about 😅 that's will be their case, because the better players in the team will not believe they gonna make it with their roaster..

If I wanted speed and grit I’d opt for Grundström. There are enough nifty players so I don’t see how Eklund is going to match up in a bottom six role
