If you'd have called it "The boot" or "Der Stiefel" that would have been ok.
But, as a German I tell you, calling it "Das Boot" is just terrible. Because "Das Boot" is "the boat" in German. And you're definitely not drinking from a boat.
So, duh. Stay either all German, or all English, but please, don't call it that garbled up version.
If you want to play a drinking game with something like the German "Boot" in it, play "U-Boot" or submarine.
Get a large shot glass, fill it to the brim with the strongest liquor you can find. Then get a beer glass with an even larger diameter than the shot glass. Invert the beer glass over the shot glass, then press the shot glass face up into the beer glass until it meets with the inside of the beer glass bottom. Now carefully turn the beer glass over while you still press the shot glass firmly to the inside of the beer glass. Now fill the beer glass carefully with beer over an inserted spoon to prevent splashing and upsetting the shot glass. The weight of the shot glass should keep the liqour from spilling out into the beer; at least at first. If you want to, mark some equidistant lines on the outside of the glass of how much you have to drink as a penalty.
Now choose your favorite drinking game where you have to take a large gulp from the beer glass as a penalty. At first you will drink mostly beer. But the more you tip the glass the more liquor will spill out and create a pretty vile concoction of beer and liquor.
This is called U-Boot because it is the shortened version of Unterwasserboot = under-water-boat = submarine in German. How this game got it's name should be quite obvious.
