This update was a huge breath of fresh air for me. i doubt ill be trying awakened bosses anytime soon. GZ on the accomplishment and I'm glad to hear that you also enjoyed the update :D
My only qualm about the entire release is that, whilst I think the ring mechanics are good, and I definitely would like to see it used more, I don't think DT2 was the right time to do it. They dropped 4 cool bosses at the same time, but also introduce a drop mechanic that actively punishes you if you don't camp just 1 boss. I would love to spend some time at each boss, hop around, keep it interesting, but the ring mechanic discourages trying out all of the content. During a single boss release, this mechanic would have been fine, I think however it was the only oversight by Jagex to introduce it during a multi-boss release.
Its cool seeing how RS bosses have evolved from the simple God wars dungeon bosses to these new ones with more mechanics, it shows that RS can produce more engaging and fun bosses
Talking with a few of the mods and they're very pleased with the release. This was definitely one of those that could have gone either way but it's worked out tremendously well.

Thank you for explaining more about the rings drop rates. I spooned pretty much everything on my Ironman and it drastically cut my playtime. It’s become a common theme in my RuneScape playtime. Get excited to grind boss for drop and spoon it, then proceed to not play. On the opposite end, I have a separate iron that went insanely dry on an item and I quit many times during that grind. Gratz gamer was super fun watching you grind vardorvis live!
As someone who went 2800 kc for youngllef and currently 79 purples with no staff I welcome the ring rng mechanic. Appreciate your take on this and I'm similarly optimistic for the future of pvm in osrs

aaty I noticed you don’t blink a whole lot during the fights 😅 when i started counting it was over a minute before you blinked a few times during Whisperer for example, has your eye doctor mentioned that at all to you when you got glasses/go in? Mine does, and I never realize I’m barely blinking when I’m gaming hardcore. That’s a huge part of my eye damage/eye sight degrading with glasses
Classic aaty W on this ramble section. It makes me wonder if you would go as far to say as the team should consider applying this 'RNG protection' to the Tbow with the upcoming CoX changes, which you seemed to hint at? It's one of the few items I could see this bell curve tightening being well recieved once the player base had the time to experience it, yet I think it unlikely that it would pass if polled because of how it's considered "legacy" content ecause
can someone please explain how you take the screenshot and have it pop up so fast? i feel like theres not enough time to go to the folder and open the screenshot after taking it
On the talk about how the rings drop, the only part I'm lost on is if you have to roll 3 times to get a ring, doesn't that mean you could go dry 3x getting that ring as well? unless i'm misunderstanding, it feels like nothing really changes other than the chance of spooning a ring is harder since you have to get spooned 3x? Either way I'm here for it however it works, DT2 was amazing and watching you get blood torva was incredible! Thanks for the great content Aatykon!
It’s the exact same as the venator bow, conceptually speaking. You need 5 1/100 drops to make the bow. You’re less several orders of magnitude less likely to go 2000 kc dry on getting 5 1/100 drops rather than 1 1/500 drop. Now, the exact same logic applies to the rings, except the “shards” are invisible drops that get replaced by normal loot.
it was on the blogpost a few days back at the bottom, new spreads super fast if you watch any twitch streams regarding this stuff though so people were hyped for a while
the effective gp/hr of ring is much more consistent and it's extremely high (and will likely stay high ~@20m/hr) if players feel that way i think they need to change their mindset. rng can go both ways and most experienced players should realise on average the luck evens out regardless. i appreciate people can feel like that just dont personaly think thats a problem
@@minotaur830 it's going down as people are hitting their first rings but i expect they'll swap bossess or move around after that and we'll see a rebound for a while. Either way even 10m/hr not including drops/other uniques is great
Nice video - one small correction: the white orb that spawns during Leviathan enrage can spawn southeast (and I'm guessing southwest too) as well. I think it has to do with where the player is and if they're currently standing on one of the spawn locations, but I've had two attempts where I'm standing northwest assuming it's going to spawn northeast and it spawns southeast 🤷♂
Kinda funny to watch this a few weeks after. There are approximately 3k players with blood torva right now, which just shows how good we are as players are. Orbs are also still 2.5m. So can't wait for Ca's coming soon ;)
Imo It shows we overestimate on release difficulty, and that methods can make up for skill to accomplish tasks. In addition over 50% of blood torva is bought, similar to infernal capes
ring gp/hr is ~15-20M+ right now, and should maintain that. toa max eff is also ~15m/hr and both are consistent in teams. since you dont have staff, these bosses are actually insane gp, so sticking to them should be the play imo (however do what you find fun)
when you say you' flicked by sounds on enraged levi do you just let one hit (pray accordingly) and get in the cycle? I haven't started awakened yet (idk if i ever will). Does the audio sounds right before it hits or right as its launched? Im sure getting in there and experienced it will give me my answer, but im curious. Awesome vid and massive gzzz, soz for the spam coffee hittin well
cant say i know off the top of my head, as you said some experience will give you the correct answer. based on orb distance away from your model it shouldn be too hard to catch the initial hit though.
honestly a super great vid. i really didnt think about how the drop mechanics could just help pace out a main account rather than them just skipping over a lot of gameplay effort by getting very lucky. grats on the blood torva bro, i had a lot of fun listening to the streams while at work :)
In whisperer on the quest version I only killed the yellow ghosts saying "Vita" which stops her curse completely! I imagine this is the same in awakened version you just have more ghosts saying it, if you can hit all of them saying that, and ignoring the others, venator bow would not be necessary, allowing more food and a Rada's Blessing 4 for additional prayer!
with regards to the drop rates, it could be possible that jagex are watching all accounts that get on the drop table twice and will ban bots before they get the 3rd and secure the drop.
Flicking based on sound can be applied to literally anything in the game. If you can learn to flick by sound (if applicable) it will always free up your eyes for something else to be dealt with.
transmog plugin lets you change the look of any item into any other item, i dont like masori mask look so i just change it to avas max hood for the fashionscape
Send another awakened whisperer when u get the chance, I believe they've changed it and it seems exceptionally harder without any passive sanity regen lol
i gave the whisperer a shot and ur right, not too bad/different from the regular version. But I kept running into what I think is a bug where in half the fights, my sanity wouldn't passively regen, which makes it basically unbeatable (2-3m down the drain every time I noticed this happening). Did u or anyone you know encounter this when doing awakened Whisperer?
the sanity management is super important, i believe that's just a feature of awakened wisp where you need to duck out of the shadow realm asap in a few of the specials
@@aatykon yeah i understand you have to dip in and out and memorize on orbs and pillars (seems there's no viable way to do it for ghosts though?). What I mean is, on half my attempts my sanity bar wouldn't passively regen when outside of the shadow realm. This makes it basically impossible to complete as you won't get to the enrage phase with enough sanity, as there's inevitably some unavoidable sanity drain that adds up over the fight.
ghosts should restore your sanity meter though so id imagine they're net profit, im still not sure about it being bugged or not i just didnt really notice it overall im afraid
@@aatykon Having watched both u and synq its definitely either bugged or some hidden mechanic. If you didn't passively regen sanity you wouldn't have gotten the kill when you did, and during synq's attempts his sanity was only regained during the ghosts/running puzzle, never passively.
Enjoyed the video! 👍👍 gz on Blorva!! Do you like that awakened boss attempts are locked behind orbs? I’m an ironman, but i don’t mind it personally. I think its interesting economically to see how supply/demand will keep up for them long term. Admittedly I would love the kit to pimp out my torva, but I also don’t mind content being harder or less accessible for irons. That is essentially what we signed up for after all!
I cant imagine vard will be that hard, its basically only one more prayer click than im used to by now, i just camp one tile out from pillar and skip the axe spawn when they move, run back and run into middle if theres an opposing axe
I'd definitely attempt this if it didn't cost 1m+ per attempt. Whisperer basically requires you to have a shadow unless you get to passively regain sanity (which sometimes doesnt happen..?). I think it does make sense though as its for a cosmetic version of Torva.. If you have Torva you basically got all the gear you'll need already anyways
idk, i dont understand compensating to the outliers of the distribution curve... rng is just a thing in runescape I thought, sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't.
I’ve seen servers already starting to advertise for potential Blood Torva boosting services in “near future” (most likely waiting for metas to be created for each boss). I think your 250 prediction would be right assuming no boosting but unless Jagex really cracks down on it I think it will be a lot more. I can’t possibly imagine why people would fork out possibly hundreds of mills for a flex cosmetic they never even earned while also comprising their account, but that’s OSRS players for you I guess lmao. Can’t wait to see some dude walking around with Blorva and cheese cape looking for a team at TOB 😂
You think anyone can do these bosses with enough practice or do you feel you gotta be levels above to even attempt them. Also do you think killing each of them will have a GM task tied to them in future?
its definitely a good step above gm ca, which is 100% dooable by anyone (purely going by mechanical skill requirement). i think this one is too difficult to add to ca, it would have to go in a flex tier alongside stuff like nopillar inferno/solo hard mode tob.
at what point in the video do you see me advocating for melee or mage skipping in chambers? you're reading from a script or not actually thinking about what you're saying. I happen to believe mage skipping is in fact not ok, but that doesnt change the fact it adds more depth than it takes away. wheras axe skipping simply 100% removes the dodge mechanics (the most fundamental part of the boss) in favor of easy set-timing (albeit tick perfect) movements. melee skipping more precisely 4:1 and the methods that stem from it greatly increase the mechanical depth of the raid, thus yielding a positive effect rather than a purely detrimental one.
Overall I love the mechanics and difficulty of the Awakened bosses, but I hate that access to the bosses is gated. It's awful, filler content. They originally tried this with the inferno where their very first iteration was that every attempt at the inferno required a new fire cape sacrifice. Players hated this and they luckily changed it (but funnily enough this still exists in a roundabout form through Turael skipping for speedrunners, which players also hate). In the end, it just means that before you actually get to do the difficult / engaging content, you have to farm for a whole bunch. You can't practice without access to another account. It just pads out the experience with filler content. Gated access is just terrible.
I thought I could remember there being a time when you had to sacrifice a fire cape per attempt at the Inferno, but I can't find anything about it at all. Is this a mandala effect thing?
@@toastwiz I did some research in the original Dev blog forum posts. From the way people were talking there, it was just a wording issue and they didn't intend for you to spend a fire cape each time. They reworded the Dev blog to be clearer because a lot of people on the forum thought it was 1 per attempt, but I don't think it was ever actually that way and it was just a misunderstanding. Hard to tell for sure, but that's the impression I got from reading several pages of that forum thread.
Lol if only Whisperer was as easy now as it was when you guys were all doing it… insanity regenerating made this 10x easier considering now you HAVE to insta leave orbs AND Pillars, plus getting hit by a single tentacle can end your entire run lol now I’d argue this is definitely harder than Duke
Content wise? This has been an amazing update. I love it! The bosses are all amazing. Yes, even the Dukenator. I like that he's a bit more chill at the start. It's kinda like doing cox in that you prep for the boss and you can afk before you start after prep. The variety is nice. Reward wise? Dogshit. The rings are meh. The axe is meh. The virtus is meh. Gems are useless. Blood torva is cool though. Everything else is shit.
umm so why are all the cringey osrs community saying these awakened bosses are harder than infernal? I havent played in 6months but there is no way this tops infernal cape, and no im not a noob firecaper, Im a maxed 2277 infernal cape
I still just find it insane you think there is 200 people in the world that play this game that are capable of getting blood torva by the end of the year. Like yeah they look hard but within the end of the year???
I overestimated the difficulty - alongside the emergence of great methods and resources that make this consistent. More like 2.5k players at end of year maybe. Hard to tell how many are legit though seems same as infernal but in this case maybe up to 50% or more are cliented/bought.
hey dude, love the videos and you are so good at the game! although you may consider getting a different hat, that one is wack. i think it doesn't suit you. happy scaping!

ghosts should restore your sanity meter though so id imagine they're net profit, im still not sure about it being bugged or not i just didnt really notice it overall im afraid
@@aatykon Having watched both u and synq its definitely either bugged or some hidden mechanic. If you didn't passively regen sanity you wouldn't have gotten the kill when you did, and during synq's attempts his sanity was only regained during the ghosts/running puzzle, never passively.
Can a screechy get it
Enjoyed the video! That is essentially what we signed up for after all!
the axe skip is the only thing i can seem to get down otherwies i just keep planking lol
\
I cant imagine vard will be that hard, its basically only one more prayer click than im used to by now, i just camp one tile out from pillar and skip the axe spawn when they move, run back and run into middle if theres an opposing axe
i was really happy when i knew no bosses are like muspah , where you gotta do a 8-way every 15 ticks
:batchest: blood torva what’s next holy virtus
did he had 271 inferno capes :O
why does the butch pet walk when vardorvis runs me down like a dog?
I'd definitely attempt this if it didn't cost 1m+ per attempt. Whisperer basically requires you to have a shadow unless you get to passively regain sanity (which sometimes doesnt happen..?). I think it does make sense though as its for a cosmetic version of Torva.. If you have Torva you basically got all the gear you'll need already anyways
Aaty, I think that there will be 250 *legitimate* blood torvas by end of year, though I'm sure that the black market may result in a larger quantity.
idk, i dont understand compensating to the outliers of the distribution curve... rng is just a thing in runescape I thought, sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't.
three letters sums this up.. RS3
Definitely agree with transmogging the Masori Helm. It looks very out of place for OSRS imo.
I think 200 is a low estimate. I'd guess 500
29:54 LMAO "Im freeeeeeeeeee"
glow2:wave2: GZZZZ!!@@@@@@@@@@@@@
dont like axe skipping because youre not doing it properly but melee/mage skip in cox makes sense xD
at what point in the video do you see me advocating for melee or mage skipping in chambers? you're reading from a script or not actually thinking about what you're saying.
You get a sub for just accomplishing this. Great vid though.
Weirdly prefer how the original Torva looks over the blood one ngl
I agree, should just cost 1 orb each boss to permanently have access to the awakened version
35:40, holy shit..
You just need to kill the vita spawns at whisperer fight
i'd rather have 3 parts to make the rings like it is for the brimstone ring
R.I.P mobile players that want blood torva
I still just find it insane you think there is 200 people in the world that play this game that are capable of getting blood torva by the end of the year. Like yeah they look hard but within the end of the year???
I overestimated the difficulty - alongside the emergence of great methods and resources that make this consistent. More like 2.5k players at end of year maybe.
Hard to tell how many are legit though seems same as infernal but in this case maybe up to 50% or more are cliented/bought.
Me watching this even tho im like 8/30 against duke
gg
hey dude, love the videos and you are so good at the game! although you may consider getting a different hat, that one is wack. i think it doesn't suit you. happy scaping!
but hey, thats just my opinion!
Don't hate on his hat
@@bombinspawn i have some nice hats i should wear the other nice hats sometimes i wear them sometimes i dont perhaps i shall.
