"Life's incredible again" is my favorite part of this soundtrack. Every time I listen to it it makes me think of how truly incredible life is. It's such a heartwarming swing waltz. This soundtrack is so perfect
I would just like to point out the drummer. Each beat and crash is on point and makes this such a fun tune to listen to. And of course hats all off to all the phenomenal musicians. What an incredible piece.
Took my younger cousins to see this when it came out back in 2004. Was a senior in high school. Remember sitting down and telling them to not be so loud so I could hear the music…and the rest is history!
The flute at 0:20 (the part where Bob turns up the radio) and the saxophone part at 0:40 (when Bob turns his car into sicko mode) bring back some old memories from when I was like 7
I just can't express how much I love this. There's so much to love. The transitions between songs, how it sounds, the ending part and just everything. It's perfect. It basically became part of my daily routine. Every time I go to work I listen to this to boost my morale. Michael Giacchino is a god and so are you guys.
Can I Get 10,000 subs with no public videos?: funny because I own 3 different mutes and none of them make that sound, that’s an actual thing used in jazz. Not as much now but back then
It’s pretty common in Jazz to have the soloist have the (otherwise) easiest part. Let’s the player really push the solo knowing the section has the rest of the piece.
Hi! Yes, I do rest some on this piece, but it’s mostly on the things that are already doubled. We’ve got 6 players in the section and I use an assistant on this piece. This was just one tune in a whole concert, so I have to pace myself!
I thought the US army was always so strict on how things were done but this was “incredible” and I have a different view on these people now. God bless!
I literally didn't find a SINGLE comment appreciating the few flutes there were. they had a couple of cool moments yet no one talked about it 😭 appreciate the flutes they work just as hard as everyone else! their fingers are going a mile a minute and I noticed a lot of slurring. As a flutist myself its not easy so lets hear it for the flutes! THE BAND WAS AMAZING❤️
The incredibles is my favourite movie ever, and the music was my favourite soundtrack, but the way you did it was Incredible. Thank you so much for this well-put video. Stay strong!
Top-level army bandsmen are at about the same level of ability and musicianship as players in major symphony orchestras, and in many cases they went to the same schools.
Me at 1:00 am when I know I should be going to bed because I have to wake up decently early the next morning but I want to watch this: Yeah I’ve got time.
This was really nice to hear because I'm playing the incredibles theme for my movie theme concert (along with the up theme, Jurassic park theme, and the avengers theme) and although we won't sound this good at a professional high school it was nice to here it from a band perspective rather than a trumpet perspective and I'm excited for this!!!!
Omg I loved it it sounds so similar to the original but with that unique Orchestra tunes you really only get on orchestra I loved it also I didn't knew the US army played such songs! Great job
I love it. James Bond meets copyright non-infringement meets the standard concert band formula (fast and slow sections). We _played_ a James Bond medley in HS and it wasn't this fun-sounding
My ability to count beats and determine what the pitch is less than I want it to be. But at 03:45, am I hearing a little Lalo Schifrin influence? 5/4 time and the same key as the "Mission Impossible" theme? No wonder "The Incredibles" sounds so 60s spy movie or TV!
I think you're right about the Lalo Schifrin influence with the 5/4 time! To my ear, the "Mission Impossible" theme is in a slightly different key than "The Incredibles" theme.
Amazing performance! What a wonderful band! I'm a brazilian military musician, and this band is a reference to me. But the video edition could be better! The cameras could show the soloists at the right moment the solos begin. Greetings from Brazil!
From 1:38 to 1:51, this section is a personal favorite of mine. I've had an appreciation for this fantastic soundtrack since I was a kid. That's why I've always had a fondness for jazz or music with jazzy elements, even if my friends teasingly label it as “old people music.” I still enjoy pop music, but it needs to have a complex and intricate melody to capture my interest. I have to say it though, they really nailed it with this performance, it's one of the best I've heard so far.

Can I Get 10,000 subs with no public videos?: funny because I own 3 different mutes and none of them make that sound, that’s an actual thing used in jazz. Not as much now but back then
@@FullAuto737 hmm a mute called a plunger mute, often made of a plunger
bit late here, but its a mix of the mute and a flutter tongue/growl technique
@@patrickflanagan3184 they also very heavily growl to produce that sound
Real question: is the middle trumpet player the one playing the super super high stuff and then saving his chops through the rest of the piece?
Sure seems like it. They play a lot in these concerts, and playing up there is taxing
It’s pretty common in Jazz to have the soloist have the (otherwise) easiest part. Let’s the player really push the solo knowing the section has the rest of the piece.
