This young man was respectful and had a polite attitude and was seeking an intelligent response and he received it. I appreciate his honesty. The man who answered the young man was patient and was knowledgeable in reaching into his mind into a better understanding of a more agnostic approach away from atheism. It’s a good start in reaching this young man like peeling away the layers of an onion, breaking down strongholds. A seed has been planted that the Lord can use to reach the soul of him. It's good to see good conversation, praying for this young man that God opens his heart to the truth in His word.
Dennis Prager also did a good job of this in his 10 commandments series. This young man was most likely raised with a moral code. Now imagine someone who was raised without any such code. How would that argument go? Without a Divine Imperative, right and wrong are merely abstractions and no better than individual opinions. God gives us the fabric of society.

You should NEVER be looking to be perfect, that is impossible. You need to look at yourself honestly and realize that you are incapable on your own. You can look to man's religions to become a better man. But, God did not come here to make a bad man a good man. God came and died on that cross to pay the price you cannot pay, and he rose again defeating death. God came here to make a dead man (you) a live man so that you can take your place in the Body of Christ.
I had this very debate with an atheist and did a much worse job of explaining objective morality to him than Frank did to this guy

I always wonder, if a god over watches us? If so why does he allow us to suffer the hurts put on us. Big question I know but I haven't heard a good answer.
Roman's 8:28 (NIV) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. - We have to ask ourselves how will God use this suffering for our good and for His glory? If we never suffered, we would never grow. If we never suffered, we would never hope for heaven. If we never suffered, we would never need God. If we never suffered, we would never appreciate goodness. If we never suffered, we would never hate evil. God allows suffering because it is a byproduct of sin. God gave us free will and helps us through it when we are willing.
@traceypierson3049 heard that before, buy doesn't answer the question. Yes without good how do we know bad, he's supposed to be a just God. But everyday I see unjust and evil, now I know them, why do I need to be shown again? I am a normal person and learn from an experience, why does it happen day after day. Once is enough. Seems more likely he's not caring about us at all. A just loving God wouldn't want those he lives so much to keep getting hurt. Would I wish my own children harm? I think I see a slight misconception here. I think I see a misdirection here. Doesn't sound like a just and loving God. But we do need a symbol to cuss out and praise. Pray to and blame for the things that happen. NOT convinced 😕

Asked Jesus into your heart & made that life change? It won't happen overnight but once you accept His son Jesus, God the Father will help you.
