You got me with "not comforting someone with a lie that will lead them to hell." Im struggling so badly with this. My 17 Year old, beautiful daughter came out at 14, saying she was gay and trans, that she wanted to be a man. I've turned to so many doctors and therapists, and the only thing they do is demean me and tell me that I am the problem here for not calling her a him or by the new name they gave them self. Her primary pediatrician point blank asked me why I was too stupid to figure out how to contact an endocrinologist, someone to have my child put on hormones and blockers. I said I try, but no one calls back. That wasn't honest of me. I just never called. I've been praying that maybe she will outgrow this, or it will just stop. I dont know what to do anymore. I know most people blame the parents, but in my case, her high school changed her name in their school system for 2 years and called my child by a different name and pronoun and never told me until I found out by accident. That accident involved my beautiful child trying to end their own life. A life that means everything to me. As a christian and a conservative, I feel like i'm way too understanding and accepting of her situation. I just keep saying you will be who you are supposed to be, and until then, I'll love you with all I have to get to you through this. I do not state her preferred pronouns. I just do everything I can not to use any pronouns. I feel like my child is on the fast track to hell, and all I can do is watch.
