- Russia's war in Ukraine is exposing cracks within NATO. French President Emmanuel Macron has openly challenged his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden over the seizure of frozen Russian assets. He warned against expropriation of frozen Russian assets, claiming that such a move would infringe upon international law & weaken Europe. This comes after he termed Ukraine's Western backers 'cowards' for not agreeing to his suggestion to send NATO troops to Ukraine. The U.S. and Germany hit back at him for making such claims. France needs to understand that playing Russian roulette with a nuclear superpower is never a good idea.

One thing to think about is that France pre-strategic warheads are around 100 Kilotonnes of tnt, Fat man was around 20 Kilotonnes. Even if France has a smaller arsenal, it's still enough to create a global nuclear holocaust.
So the point is that Russia is starting to force the hand of France, which part of the population sees itself as the guardian of Europe with their nuclear umbrella. If Putin wants to push to Moldova and onto Romanian borders, that can become Frances problem.

Tax the assets also illegal. You cannot manipulate these funds as per international law. Any playing on these funds will only show the future of investment are too risky because US and Europe can anytime, anyway, freeze and confiscate any assets or investment whenever they want without caring for any laws. If EU does it all the other world countries would sell their properties in EU because of fear of asset seizure at any moment, as well as they are escaping from Dollar being used for sanctioning countries not aligned with US politics.
What I heard is that rich people in certain countries would not want to buy any assets in NATO countries. If you are a rich person from china, would you want to own any assets in NATO countries when they can just seize your assets like they did to Russian citizens who owned assets outside of Russia.

It doesn't work like in India. Politicians in the West don't care for public opinions. They've their own ecosystem, which they're trying to save. If this war continues for another two years, Russia will be fine but western ecosystem will be bankrupt. Another important aspect is they can do whatever with the assets of other countries in their country, as they know that they can manipulate the international laws and cover it up. I believe, this is good opportunity for India to take lead in starting international organizations in India dumping these western ecosystem organizations.

France isn't a memeber of NATO, so they can send troops to Ukraine, but after they got destroyed in Africa, it'd be a repeat of the same on a larger scale in Ukriane. Hence why he wants NATO to go in with him, so they can disperse the losses and not make France look so inept and force the US to become the sole logistics supplier for the NATO and French forces.

Since the Russian funds are not the EU’s or NATO’s, what gives them the right to invest it and claim taxes from the profit, is the obvious question here. Russian should sue for the return of the funds and lost income from future profit that would have been derived from these funds as part of the Ukraine settlement.
